So the no-show "date" gets in touch this afternoon, to re-arrange going to the cinema. Sadly, John Carter has stopped playing, so I suggest something else. He goes on to whine at length about how he really wanted to see John Carter, as if I can somehow magic up a showing.
Sod this, I'm going back to girls, exclusively. Bloody men-children.
So bitter and fickle.
So bitter and fickle.
Bitter, maybe. Fickle? I'm not the one who dithered and cancelled twice on short notice before whining like a ten year old that it's not fair John Carter isn't showing any more!
Grr.
Reading Brubaker's Secret Avengers at the mo. I like how he seems to have Planetary; I'm certainly getting that secret-history vibe at the moment.
Edit - although I have noticed Deodato shamelessly plundering minor details from sci-fi films and books for his art; I kinda like the homage.
I wish I could pull off "sod"
Try using "Sod this for a game of toy soldiers, I'm off to (X) / do (X)" as a phrase. Works wonders.
f.ex: Upon finding a long lunchtime queue at your preferred cafe / deli say "Sod this for a game of toy soldiers, I'm off to get a dirty McD's!"
it doesn't work without the accent

Sigh. I remember my first lesbian encounter.
It was quite good.

You let one bad apple spoil the bunch, that's being fickle. That's not even getting into the fact that women can be bigger pains in the ass.

Watching Girls Going Wild On Girls in your bedroom with only a sock for company doesn't count as an "encounter".

Not one bad apple, just the last straw. And maybe it's just my own experience, but of my partners in the past it's the guys that have acted more childish and spoilt, especially regards the little things.

Maybe that's just the kind of guy you tend to be drawn to. I mean, look at this thread.

I thought after the first blow off, it'd be obvious. I mean, if you can't even make the first date, it's probably going to get worse.
Also surprised John Carter has already been pulled. What a disaster. (and another omen!)

I liked all of it. Not as good as Planetary, but great to see it applied to Avengers.
it doesn't work without the accent
No doubt. Throwing the accent in to it is going to make it worse.
kerny's kernels.
Winner!
A thing of beauty.
