Where do you see Blade in Marvels Future? I understand he has had more than one shot at a series and he can't quite find an audience. But the character has also been the star or three major Hollywood movies. So how do you translate That success for a character like Blade into comics? how would you go about trying to make a B-List character an A-list character?

Are there any plans to reprint more of the doctor strange comics, outside of the essential line. Maybe his 90's series, maybe an omnibus of his original series, or maybe a reprint of dr strange dr doom triumph and torment, and for that matter what about a reprint of emperor doom? These 2 stories were some of the great moments in the history of 2 great characters.

With the upcoming WINTER GUARD one-shot in December, is that sort of like a 'pilot' book? Something to test the market with? If the book does well enough, will it be turned into a series or a limited series? If not, could you give us a little insight into why Marvel publishes one-shots?

Ever since the completion of Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk artist Leinil Francis Yu has been doing some great cover work on titles like Dark Wolverine and Moon Knight, but I'm curious if he has any other future interior projects?

And speaking of Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk how's about an update on when we can expect the return of Ultimate Shulkie?

Please, give some news on The Twelve. That book was excellent and I need to know what happened. Are there any plans for those characters? Is there any plan to finish the series? Do we have any hope?

Maybe I'm crazy, but I seem to remember a Spider-Man project drawn by J Scott Campbell being announced. It's been years since the announcement. Is it still in the works? Did I just imagine it? I would be very excited to read ANY Marvel book with art by J Scott.

Uncanny X-men 517 is coming out on November 25 and from one of the pages in the book we saw the phoenix flying from utopia into the sky. Many fans have speculated that this is the fragments of the phoenix stored in the cuckoos hearts and i agree with them. My question is are all of these things like the echo of the phoenix force and hope summers in relation to jeans return. Do you have any information on jean greys resurrection that you would be willing to share or any conformation that she will return in the new year?

Marvel seems to be promote the magic/monster corner of the universe. With Dr. Voodoo having his own series and Morbius and his other monsters popping up every once and a while, it leaves one to wonder if this is on purpose or not.

2 questions, if that's ok:

1) I'm really digging Dark Reign so far and can't wait for Siege. It's nice to see so many characters actually interacting and making everything feel like one big universe. (Here it comes...) However, once Siege is out of the way will we see a more cohesive Marvel Universe? Currently we have Clint Barton running around in New Avengers, helping Mighty Avengers and yet according to The List: Avengers he's been captured by Norman. Luke Cage is also in Norman's "care" in New Avengers, yet he then appears in Thunderbolts with nothing wrong with him. Obviously most fans are intelligent enough to figure out that these events don't happen in the order published, but it really breaks the flow of the overall Marvel Universe narrative and slightly spoils the enjoyment. It's like watching episode 4 of a program before episode 3 has been released. So to sum up, is there any chance we can start to see storylines released in a better order that makes the overall reading experience much better?

2) Any word on the status of XIII? It's great to see Marvel releasing other European stuff, but XIII is something I'd love to read in English. I own a lot of the French editions but my reading of French isn't all that good.

Hey joe is there any of thundra getting her own comic book series? I like the recognition that she's been getting lately but i think she deserves her own series. She would be a really cool character to have comic series around.

Like Mike Carey with Legacy and Jason Aaron with Wolverine, I feel that Zeb Wells simply "gets" Elektra. I was extremely impressed with the Dark Reign mini (in no small part, as well, to Clay Mann's genius pencils). Are there any plans on continuing her story with that creative team, or with any other, for that matter?

What makes you decide to put out a book on a bi monthly basis instead of a monthly one? Will the bi monthly Ultimate books have more pages?

I've got a question for Joe:

Joe, it's not been over 2 YEARS since the last issue of New Universal was put out. You've repeatedly said Marvel will get back to it, but still there's been nothing even announced.

Are you actually going to ever get back to it, or should I just give up on it on a poor investment in a title Marvel's never going to bother finishing and sell off the few issues that were put out?

Considering Marvel is currently the most successful comic company in the world, I at least hoped a few issues would be put out to give the fans some sort of conclusion.

I'm sure loyal readers are wondering how the decision to end the series came about and the future of Carol Danvers such as a possible relaunch? More importantly, can we expect some new Marvel projects from Brian Reed after the title ends?

I read the Realm of Kings one-shot and really liked it, but I'm not sure where the Quasar story is going to be continued. All of the series and mini-series with the "Realm of Kings" branding look like they're doing their own thing, based on the solicitations for the next few months.

Basically, if someone reads the one-shot and wants to know what happens next, which comic should they pick up?

I was wondering what the status was of Reginald Hudlin and Denys Woan's CAPTAIN AMERICA/BLACK PANTHER: FLAGS OF OUR FATHERS mini that was announced last summer since it hasn't been solicited yet?

And speaking of Black Panther, any new developments for the BET animated series that you can talk about?

Realm of Kings #1 introduced us to a Marvel Earth where Lovecraftian-esque horrors had taken over. Can we get an official # designation of Earth 666? Or, if that's too obvious..maybe 555? (5 is a pretty Lovecraftian number)

I have this ever present hope that at some point ROM the Space Knight will pop out of the Fault left over from the War of Kings. I have heard that there are ridiculous rights issues to deal with regarding ROM. Is there anyway to bring him back to the MU?

Also, what is up with JMS's The Twelve (had to drop that in!)

With Alpha Flight leading in your poll about what title should be brought back, maybe my questions will make it to you this time:

We keep hearing you (and other Marvel folks) say that you're waiting for the right pitch for a new Alpha Flight book. Can't you, as EIC, simply say: "I want some ideas for a new Alpha Flight book," rather than merely waiting for one?
Fred Van Lente has said in the past he would like to take a stab at Alpha Flight and fans love his take on the characters, so why not let him try?
Would you agree that the major reason the last two attempts at "Alpha Flight" books (I'm not including Omega Flight here) failed, is because they didn't have the real (ie: the original) Alpha Flight in them?

Another thing Joe,

Why do you folks write all your stories using only a handful of characters? I know the ones you use are the ones that pull in the most money, but maybe if you tried using other characters to tell the same stories you could diversify and sell more comics that way? Instead of having the FF fight Dr. Doom yet again, maybe it could be the Winter Guard who does it? Instead of the Avengers dealing with Ultron perhaps Alpha Flight takes him on?
It just gets real old when every event involves the same faces, doing the same things to defeat the same villains in the same places. Why not branch out and bring in little used characters to save the day? Why not have major events occur somewhere outside of the US? Why not shake things up a bit?

Just as I thought the Thor film couldn't get any better, all these new casting announcements are released including Academy Award winner Sir Anthony Hopkins! I was curious about your thoughts on Branagh's casting thus far and as someone involved in the film how much input you had in the casting decisions? And speaking of Marvel film casting, I'm sure a lot of fans are wondering how long until we get an official announcement for the actor playing The First Avenger: Captain America?

I'm curious if he'll be writing the Vulture in the coming months, either the original or the new one he introduced a few months back? In any event, will the new Vulture be seen again, perhaps in the current ongoing "Gauntlet" storyline?

I have recently started tracing figures in magazines and catalogs as blueprints for my artwork. How much experience of this do I need before I can work at Marvel? I can assure you I am a very nice guy who really loves my comics and I hope these personal attributes will make up for my need to photo reference for my work to meet deadlines. So, could you give me a time frame of how long I should do this before I will get offered work? I have considered tracing other comic artists work as well since this is becoming a new trend, I'm just concerned they might not appreciate me using their work as resource for an accepted business tradition common throughout the industry, neophyte cantankerous upstarts though they may be. Where is the line between tracing material and saying it's for photo referencing purposes and, I dunno, tracing other artist's versions of Spider-Man, then slightly altering the hand positioning on my photo reference inspired work before proclaiming it as my own?

Are there any plans to print a trade of the pre-limited series Squadron Supreme books, from Avengers and Defenders?
Also wondering if Nth Man the Ultimate Ninja will ever be collected
