Welcome to week ten of What's New in The New 52 – where you, the fans, get a sneak peek at the stuff that crosses our desks. This little feature is a way to keep you all in the loop about what's new, different and exciting in The New 52 – whether it's a character design, cover, splash page or panel.

In her New 52 introduction, Giganta will have a new leading lady to tower over: Pandora. As a member of the Secret Society, Giganta is adamant to retrieve Pandora’s infamous box. But why?

Joining Giganta on this ruthless quest is Vandal Savage. Like Pandora, Vandal is immortal – so it’s safe to assume that these two have crossed paths before. In fact, there’s quite a bit of history there. And when Vandal gets that eerie facial scar in TRINITY OF SIN: PANDORA #2, he’ll be sticking around the series long enough for you to find out just what that history is …

Above, take a first look at Mikel Janin’s designs for these two colossal characters.
More soon,
Now, we all know that Hippolyta and Zeus slept together and conceived a child known as Diana.
So, if Azz. follows those myths above, for the most part, does that make Ares Diana's grandfather?

And if so, does that mean that Hippolyta slept with her father's (Ares), father?

I've always known that the Greek myths were incestuous, but in all my time reading over some of the myths, I've never seen it to be this incestuous and confusing.

What do you all think?

Opening note to the mods: I put this here because I thought it was more of a question/discussion about the Amazons than a discussion about Superman. I apologize if this should be in the Superman forum.

We have been told stories about what would happen if Kal-El's ship landed in the Soviet Union and Gotham city. This got me wondering about what would happen if his ship had landed on Paradise island. While obviously we don't know what would happen for sure unless a comic was written about this topic (I can dream right?), but I felt that this could lead to an interesting discussion.

Would the Amazons recognize that the baby they found is from another planet?
If they did, would they try to kill him? Deliver him to man's world (probably condemning him to being a lab rat)? Raise him in the Amazon way, thus allowing a man to live on Themyscira?

What if they didn't realize he was an alien?
What would happen why they brought him back to man's world only to realize he doesn't belong to anyone there?

How would the various incarnations of the Amazon culture react differently?
If he was raised on Themyscira, would Superman and Wonder Woman have a brother/sister sort of relationship?

These are just some of the questions that have been swimming around my head since this idea took hold. I figured the denizens of the Wonder Woman board might have some answers, or at least theories.

Thank you for your time!

I don't imagine that he could ever work as a ongoing beau to the super-powered WW, but it would be interesting to see them cross paths again. He might make a good support-cast member under the right circumstances, given that some fans have observed that the Princess is rather embarassed in that department.
Makes me wonder if any of these critics have ever picked up a comic.
A word of warning: Should a Wonder Woman film ever go this route, they're going to go ballistic out there in the reviewers corner.
Judging from the reaction to MOS all they will remember is Lynda Carter's version.

So, probability says that if something may happen and given infinity, it will happen. So it's quite certain that in eternity a Wonder Woman film will happen.

I believe that one very important aspect of it is how it will show Diana's power. I'd say she has four things that cannot be missed: strength, speed, durability and skill (flight should be part if too, but if I had to pick one to be taken out, it would be it). That is where Faora from Man of Steel comes from. We can say with some certainty that if Wondie comes to the big screen, she will be part of the universe that Man of Steel is creating. And considering the fact she should be on par with Superman's power level, would you think she should be like Faora on the film?

For example, wouldn't it be fit for Wonder Woman to fight like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnbPbkFUCPs

One can say that doing that would just make her look like another kryptonian. Then what should be done?
