Discuss before I reiterate that statement ten times per page in the form of purely expository dialogue intended only to bolster word count under the guise of characterization, even though it hugely detracts from the pacing of the scene, adds nothing that couldn't be gleaned from action and dialogue, and would never fly in any kind of first-person prose that has to justify why the character is telling you this and what defines his or her voice.

All with a character-specific emblem, of course.

The 2 villains we are talking about are Scarecrow from Batman, and Star Sapphire from Green Lantern.
We made an agreement to leave this up until the end of the day and see who comes out victorious as the better overall villain.
This is not a poll as to who would win in a fight either, this is just to determine who the overall better villain is.

So WB has announced the Kindle Worlds deal with Amazon which allows fan fiction writers to get paid in exchange for turning over all rights to anything they create:
http://robot6.comicbookresources.com...comment-155866

DC Universe properties are NOT included in Kindle Worlds (yet). So far it's only fluff like ABC Family Channel's "Pretty Little Liars" and a couple other shows like it. But assuming it's successful, will WB eventually open it up to include the DC Universe?

Yes, it's standard work-for-hire contracts. You write something, post it, agree to the terms and sign away all rights to whatever you create. But this would mean you could write DC Universe stories without editorial interference, get it published online and get paid for doing it. And barring some unforeseen legalese in the contract terms, I see nothing to stop you from turning around and pitching something to Image or another publisher that you yourself could own lock, stock and barrel.

So, would you like to see DC properties become an option on Kindle Worlds? And if so, would you write for them knowing you'd have to give up all your rights to your work (just like you would with a regular DC comic anyway)?

Well played, mr. Johns.

Is the issue perfect? No... Volthoom's abilities aren't clearly defined enough, and the art is often amazing but a bit confusing and rushed in a few places.

But Geoff Johns manages to have one crowd-pleasing set-piece after another. And on the emotional level, he hits this one out of the ballpark.

Too bad there will be more Green Lantern comics, because this one is the perfect ending to the saga.

This and Daredevil #26 in one week... Mana flows abundantly from the heavens.

Doctor Destiny continues to spread nightmares towards the world and the team will need the additional help of The Flash to take all of them.

Overall, I would say this was a pretty good issue. Ray Fawkes maintains his trend of improvement, some of the nightmares were pretty interesting and he even managed to create some intriguing abilities for The Flash. The interaction between him and Constantine was also well done and shows what he thinks about the rest of superpowered people.

Mikel Janin is great of course. He can make any apocalisis event look fantastic.

Nicely done issue and I hope they have a good conclusion for this arc.

The next big Flash event is here.

The Reverse-Flash is beginning to kill speedsters and Barry needs to start investigating the clues that some of the deceased users of the Speed force left.

Okay, for one is great to have Manapul back on art, his work continues the kind of creativity and beauty that he has shown over the course of the series. The story it's also good, making each member of the cast play their part into the plot as well as creating interesting ways to use the Speed Force, so far, so good.

However, I thought this could had been much better. The writing is solid but at times it lacks a personality, I wish Buccellato would polish some of his skills, sometimes his style feels a bit bland.

Solid issue and an okay starting point for this new arc, but not really impressive.

Death of a King interlude, but what an interlude!

The Others are back due to Arthur's petition to get back some of the artifacts that The Scavenger has been stealing meanwhile however, they will find one strange girl named Sky that has a connection to one of their dead members.

Firts of all, this is John Ostrander (Suicide Squad, The Spectre) back on the DCU, that should be enough to make you pick this issue. Still, I will say that he did a great job at expanding the work that Johns started on The Others, making each character interesting and introducing a new one to the cast. If there's a The Others series being planned I would definitely love Ostrander writing it, it seems like he has great plans for the future.

Also, Y'awara is apparently bisexual. Why is this a common thing with warrior women?

Manuel Garcia's art was good but a bit inconsistent at times, not enough to ruin the story though.

Great issue, I need more John Ostrander on the New 52.

I am going to spoil this bit in case some people thinks it's there; The cover has absolutely nothing to do with whats inside the book, so you dont need to get this if you think Red X is going to show up.

What is inside of the books is;
-a lot of a angst thanks to Psimons actions in the last issue
-a lot of talking, mainly Trigon underlining how his sons are a bunch of incompetents as he has to tell them (and us) about Raven's past and why he needs her.
-quite a bit of Cassandra being her usual b***** self
-and one massive put down that just came out of nowhere... black bird of terror... yeah right...

What little hope I had of Lobdell adding something redeeming to this book with the inclusion of Raven has been extinguished with his ham-handed execution.

Despero is back to destroy the Justice League, the problem is that he didn't found who he was expecting.

The most recent additions to the team are about to face one of its most dangerous enemies and despite their abilities they're not powerful enough to deal with him so they will need to call one the ex-members to help: The Martian Manhunter.

Well, anyone who has read the preview can already figure who is the "traitor" of the team: The Atom. It turns that the JLA is planning to include more members to take on the JL and Rhonda is one of them although she's not exactly confortable with the idea. Johns knows how to portray these kind of lesser known characters and making them interesting, being Firestorm, The Atom or Element Woman who might be one of the most entertaining and adorable JL member ever.

The best aspect of this issue however, was the interacton between the Martian Manhunter and Despero. I have expressed on the past how Despero would make a perfect archenemy for J'onn and it seems like Johns thinks the same, apparently both used to be teammates but their different beliefs forced J'onn to turn against him. Great way to connect both characters for a future MM series Mr. Johns, I salute you.

By the way, that part about Batman having that Kryptonite, it's not eactly what it appears.

Gene Ha and Andres Guinaldo's art mixes perfectly, I almost didn't noticed any difference between their styles.

The Shazam backup continues to be fantastic and it seems like I was wrong about assuming that Black Adam was a kid.

I really love how great JL has become lately, a must have title finally.

Meet the Green Team, a group of rich teenagers who can do and become whatever they want thanks to their huge amount of money, but apparently some people are against that simple notion.

Short summary from me as usual but this turned to be better than what I expected actually. At first when I read the preview I thought that this was going to be way too overwritten and while it does seem like that at times, it compensates it with great ideas and personality.

Plus, this issue was packed. Each member of the cast was properly introduced, their mission and objectives were clearly explained and even an interesting villain was already presented, this had more content that most books on the market today. Also, I need to mention the kind of creativity and well, edge that Art Baltazar and Franco are implementing, great idea after great idea about how to use money positively on the DCU, for a second I thought that was reading an indie comic and I say that as a compliment.

I.G. Guara's art is very expressive although it felt a bit rushed compared to his early work on Blue Beetle. Still, it was pretty consistent.

I'm interested definitely, I hope that this creative team improves over the course.
