Country music ...the classic country music is slowly fading. Today most of the country stars like Taylor Swift and others wanna be pop stars . Their music is less about country and more about how popish it can sound. Which isn't bad if your a new fan and don't really like the older generation. That is your right. But for those of us who remember an older generation ...George Jones was the classic standard bearer. He was like ...the Legend everyone aspired to try and be like back when it was all classic style.

In fact Jones lived hard and had the marriages to prove it. Maybe he was made of sterner stuff and White Lightning because today...Jones passed away at 81.

You can sense its a loss that traditional country fans are saddened over. Losing a George Jones is a huge blow for everyone. Even if he wasn't touring as much and had slowed down due to his age. He was still that Legend you could say his name and likely know you were discussing the country music singer.

I'm 14 and recently moved to london. I'm trying to get into country music but it isn't easy, I've always been allured to the country side of America (hope to live in texas) the only country singers I know are Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift.
