New month:

World War Hulk - Not close to the same quality as Planet Hulk, but nonetheless a fun big fight scene. Incredibly quick reading though.

Hulk: WWH: Gamma Corps - Decent enough spin-off.

World War Hulk: Frontline - The story here was okay, but it didn't grab me nearly as much as Civil War Frontline. The big star for me though was Ramon Bachs. He also did work in Civil War Frontline, but the work in WWH: Frontline was much better. Very real looking people who look like they're actually wearing real clothes. The War Is Heck pages were shockingly unfunny.

The Manhattan Projects v1 - Jonathan Hickman's book is probably closer to Pax Romana than anything else. I prefer this though - the subject matter interests me more and the book is getting a volume two which Pax Romana suffered greatly from not having. Nice art too - a bit reminiscent of Geoff Darrow.

Hey! Guess whose work internet filter no longer blocks forums? So with two days left, let's talk about the month of April!

Daredevil by Mark Waid vols 2 & 3--Enjoying this series immensely. Spidey's line "I think this is my supervillain secret origin." is joining the ranks of favoritest lines of dialogue ever.

Winter Soldier vol. 3: Black Widow Hunt TP--This series has been (IMO) the best thing Brubaker has done in the Marvel Universe and I have unreservedly loved his Cap and DD runs. So I feel like a whiny fanboy for saying the ending to this volume just ruined it all for me. Your individual mileage may vary on that score.

Hawkeye vol. 1: My Life as a Weapon TP--Good. Very, very good. The online reviewers seem to like it more than I do, but I still highly recommend it. Totally could have done without the Young Avengers issue in the back. I would have preferred it include issue #6 or for it to have a dollar or two shaved off by dropping the YA issue.

Fatale vol. 2: Devil's Business TP--I feel bad that I have nothing original to say other than I love this. Like every other freakin' thing I've read by Brubaker & Phillips! :)

Green Lantern vol. 2: Revenge of the Black Hand HC--Like the rest of Johns's GL run, I liked this. The mystery of the Indigo Tribe was one of the few comic mysteries that I did want explained, and Johns did not let me down with the reveal. HOWEVER, I've noticed the slightest of shifts in Hal's personality since the New 52 relaunch. Not a terribly drastic change, but I'm finding him more immature and annoying than he was pre-52. I'm starting to prefer Sinestro and wondering if there is way that he can permanently replace Hal on the book.

Atomic Robo Real Science Adventures TP--Vaguely disappointing. :(

Atomic Robo vol. 7: Flying She-Devils of the Pacific TP--Not at all disappointing! :D A solid Robo adventure.

Spaceman Dlx HC--I liked it a lot. I do feel that Risso's art was tad more straightforward than it has been in the past, but he did a fantastic job of making the main character, Orson, so sympathetic.

Sixth Gun vol. 4: A Town Called Penance TP--Serious contender for Eric's Favorite Series of the Last Five Years.

EM
