Kickstarter is taking over folks. Its like the greatest new tool to get things done in the comics industry. I have been watching for months now as a creator decides the best idea to get his or her project done , is raising cash on Kickstarter. Its the same with film makers in a sense. I have seen quite a number do that as well with Veronica Mars and numerous other shows or movies. They start a Kickstarter drive and soon enough....BAM....the money rolls in. In the case of Veronica Mars I think it did $5+ million.

So here folks ...it got me thinking. I mean it really did. No lie;....a great idea.

I call my plan ...THE SUPERECWFAN1 PLAN in fact. Its such genius I know people will race to pledge money for my Kickstarter drive.

In my plan you people on CBR can get in on the 1st step of the plan. The bottom floor of it folks. You owe it to yourselves and your families to dive in on this and donate to Kickstarter asap. So I will make you guys the big investors on this deal.

The SUPERECWFAN1 PLAN

So what is the SUPERECWFAN1 PLAN ? Well folks its been in my mind awhile as I played Powerball recently and watched some unworthy dicks in Florida win that $600+ million jackpot. It really pissed me off. Because that was my fortune out there. I had already lined up a new 2014 Ford F-150 too. Damn you sons of bitches in Florida !

Anyhow I was angry and mad. There goes my dreams of not working. I mean I wanted to retire and see the world. But that won't happen now with those people winning. So there went my dream of being rich and not working.

In the SUPERECWFAN1 PLAN , you my friends on CBR can send and donate me money to make me a millionaire so I can sit on my ass and not work. All ya have to do is donate and tell your friends , they tell friends and so forth. With your help and on Kickstarter you can make me a millionaire. Its easy . Its simple. You can brag to people..."See I made SUPERECWFAN1 a millionaire. We made that guy."

So folks there ya have it. Race to Kickstarter now. Help make me a millionaire. Maybe if I get enough I can buy CBR from Jonah. Who knows ...just know , when I'm sitting on my ass on the beach at Cabo Wabo , I'll raise my glass of Tequila and think of you all for getting me there.

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow...202033823.html

While remodeling his newly purchased home in Elbow Lake, Minn., David Gonzalez noticed something unusual amid the old newspapers that had been used as wall insulation.
It was a copy of Action Comics No. 1 from 1938, the very first comic to feature the granddaddy of all superheroes, Superman.
StarTribune.com spoke with Gonzalez about his amazing find as well as a subsequent family accident that knocked down the value of his windfall.
"I knew it was worth money," Gonzales told the Star Tribune. "But I had no idea how much."
So far, the answer is, well, a lot. With roughly three weeks left on the auction block, the high bid is around $113,000.
Not bad, considering Gonzalez bought the house for $10,100. But, still, the comic could be worth a lot more were it not for an argument among family members.
From StarTribune.com:
When his wife’s aunt grabbed the comic book amid all the excitement of the discovery, he grabbed it back and tore the back cover. Experts downgraded the comic book’s condition to a 1.5 on a 10-point scale. To put that in comic-book context, a 9.0-grade Action 1 fetched more than $2 million recently.
“That was a $75,000 tear,” said Stephen Fishler, co-owner of ComicConnect, a New York City online auction house that is selling Gonzalez’s treasure. He says the comic book would have graded out at 3.0 without the rip.
The Star Tribune also spoke with Vincent Zurzolo, co-owner of ComicConnect.
"It’s so hard for anyone to fathom that, in this day and age, you could still discover a comic book that nobody has known about because this book was in a wall of a house for more than 70 years," Zurzolo said. "It’s pretty miraculous that it even survived and it’s only had one owner."
Got a small fortune burning a hole in your pocket? The auction ends June 11.

and thankful for the photorealism that Square does ^_^ even when they're stories are up to par.

Unlike a lot of J-pop fictional women they're body features (at least in the main games -_-) aren't exagerrated and they both have feasible looks for women in their early 20's.And I actually like that esp. about them;they can both be depicted as appealing undoubtedly *full-grown* women who look like they could model for archetypical high art.According to the FF wiki Aerith was 22 when she died and Tifa is that age in "Advent children" where I first saw her and was introduced to the FF7 sub-franchise and I'll be 22 in a few months.I have afeeling that this might be a long standing dilemma of ppl in the pop culture scene whether from the days of Linda Carter as Wonder woman to Mike Mayhew's photorealistic art. It's alright then if I conder the FF7:AC depictions of the Cloud's love triangle girls attractive?.How do you guys deal with the dissidents of ppl who find out you find fictional women attractive as far looks go.

Yes, I know that the topic of Vampire/Human romances has been over done for years (At least I think so). But, as a retrospective, I was wondering what Vampire/Human Romances in fiction (Books, TV, Movies, etc.)

I was never a big fan of the whole Vampire Romance genre until I started reading the Dresden Files. Mainly because the Vampire/Human Couple in it is unlike any other I have come across. They have been together now for more than ten years. The Human is still human, the Vampire is still a Vampire, and their love is getting stronger every book in the series. Thomas is not a hundred year old monster, he met Justine when she was about 17 and he was in his early 30's. We only first meet them some 5 years after they start their relationship, though they only truly realize their love for each other after he nearly kills her a few years later. Of course, she still loves him and he loves her, so they are still together, despite all their problems.

I never liked how Buffy and Angel broke up, and the Twilight romance of Edward and Bela had too much teen angst (considering how old Edward is supposed to be, that is surprising).

Still, for those who ever thought about it, any opinions?

Hi there, I've come to the forums here to first do some shameless self-promoting but also to ask for some help :)

This year I've decided to go into selling graphic novels's, comic books and a variety of pop-culture merchandise with the view to opening a real-life, good old fashioned bricks and mortar shop (To head off the questions, yes I am crazy. Very crazy) based in Bournemouth on the south coast of England called Ninth Circle.
In effort to get things rolling before the difficult traditional opening we've started up online in various places the main of which are-

Facebook @ https://www.facebook.com/NinthCircle9
Twitter @Ninthcircle9
And you can hit us up on email at Ninthcircle9@gmail.com So come on over Like, Follow and we'll have a chat ;)

The help bit comes in needing some suggestions-

What would you want to see from a shop like this? Doesn't need to just be comic books, like I said we're gonna be doing a wide-variety of merch so go outside the box as much as you want.

Any ideas on galvanising the fanbase in my local area? The people areout there I know that but in the absence of any good comic-book shop/anything like that there's no real centre for people to come together around comics/movies/pop-culture.

Thanks in advance guys and please, don't be shy ;)
