I held off on buying it for a few months but picked it up back in October when my local music store had it on sale for $8.
Well worth it, even if you aren't a huge or even moderate Springsteen fan.
I do have one question. When he's talking about the song Jesus Was An Only Son he mentions a woman who lived next door to him and his wife and how they were friends and that the woman would come over nearly every night to talk etc. He went on to say that the woman passed away and (paraphrased) that he remembers seeing her framed in the doorway just before she'd knock on the door and that every night he looks up hoping to see her but she isn't there. When he said that last bit he seemed to choke up just the tiniest bit and had to pause for a moment. Is it just me or was he about to start crying?
Note: I have absolutely no problem with anyone, man, woman or child crying.

I don't think he was about to start crying, but yeah, he did choke up for just a second there.
I believe he's talking about the woman for whom the song Silver Palomino from the Devils and Dust album was written.

Its a great DVD. I should watch it again, but I think Bruce is a pretty sensitive guy-his songs show that, even if in the 80's the mass media kind of foisted this "Macho" image in him. When I listen to Bruce I always picture him a a really down-to-earth, quite emotional guy. I don't think he's the kind to burst into tears but I reckon he could get pretty misty-eyed with some of those stories & songs!

I happened to catch this show on VH1 classic the other day(apparently that's where VH1 puts reruns of the shows they made when they weren't a reality TV network). My favorite part was when he started a song forgetting his harmonica. Gotta love a guy who's not afraid to laugh at himself.

I don't have the album liner notes with me, but I think Silver Palomino was about a son losing her mother and dedicated to a friend of his son's that had suffered a similar loss, whereas the lady mentioned in the story was apparently a young girl.
One of the rare reported occasions when Springsteen appeared to be overcome by emotion onstage was during a concert in the early 80s, when he had an aisle reserved for Vietnam Veterans, many of whom were disabled.

It's the same woman. She was the Springsteens' neighbour - their son was friends with her sons.
Remember, Springsteen is in his fifties now - anybody under forty is 'young' to him!

Yeah, apparently there wasn't a dry eye on stage when they opened that show, a benefit for Vietnam Veterans, with Who'll Stop The Rain after Bobby Mueller's introduction speech. This is definitely one of the greatest ever Springsteen performances.
Another 'teary moment' is in The River video. Taken from the MUSE "No Nukes" concerts in September 1979, this is the first time Bruce had performed the song, written about his sister, live. He's not just blinking a lot because the bright lights are bothering him.
