Thanks muchly, Chuck-ster...!
I've been putting a bit more time and effort into the blog section of my site recently-- which is why my presence here has been a bit more sparse. If I could get a "comments" link attached to the end of each post in the blog, I might be tempted to drop the message board all together.

LOVED the Legion sketch and the Saturn Girl, Mike. It would have been great to see you and Mark on 'Legion,' although I'm certainly still looking forward to Waid and Kitson.
You're just taunting with stuff like that :)

Oh,.....That hurts Mike. Even if you are just joking......that hurts.
On a side note, good to know about the blog updates!

Got it!
Good to see the Blog back in action!
Keep the message board Big Mike, it is still a better tool for fan interaction. I will be looking at both.
Mike, how about posting a current pic or 2 of your studio in the blog or here with comments??
Holla!

Mike:
If you have the ability, you should make this thread a sticky for a bit.
I wasn't aware you had been doing the blog thing again. (Thanks Augie!)
Very cool to see these blasts from the past, and since you're digging through your archives; still thinking about doing some kind of a sketchbook/art book?

Sticky, yes! but please don't abandon this forum- it's not very easy to discuss stuff on your blog other than... your blog- or post images... I'd miss it, too!

I don't really understand the term "sticky"....
Could you enlighten me?
Mike

Hey Mike it keeps it up at the top the administrator for the site should have the ability to do it.

07-20-2004, 12:57 PM
"Sticky" means you pin the post to the top of the forum- it keeps it from getting bumped by new posts. It's a way to keep an announcement or some such in plain and prominent view. There's prolly some button in your Admin control panel, just fish around for it, brutha!

Oy, so confused you are! Last year I had to miss because of my in-law's 50th anniversary, but Marc and I are drivin' down to San Diego tomorrow. Whoo-hoo! I'm actually sitting right next to Rich in Artists' Alley- Scottie will be there, too. We'll be missin' ya, that's for sure! I hope to make it to Heroes' next year- do the NC tour.... Do you know if the whole Case clan is coming?

I like the sketches in your blog. I guess old people like fat people are more fun to draw. It just made me think.. I hope I never get what you call "character."
liked the Tellos pics too.

Hullo there. I'm just floating around the forums, searching for things that catch interest. Its actually nice to have the chance to talk face-to-face as it were with someone who's actually worked on some of the comics I've read. :D
New experience for me, that. Anyhow. Just a friendly hullo, and to hope that you're well, I suppose.

I've been checking out your blog for a while and really like the sketches, what I was wondering is if theres anyway to post a gallery of your blog sketches or archive them at all. I know comicartcommunity.com has a comic art gallery and can host them if it's a problem for you. I really liked the don quixote sketch but I have no idea how to find it now.
Thanks -
P.S. Do you have a recomended reading for aspyring artists? Bridgman, Loomis, Hamm?

Hey, Sketchpad....
I don't know about having the blog archived. I think it would require more hosting space than my budget can afford-- especially with the images involved. I'll look into it... but I couldn' t promise anything.
And I'll let my web folks know about the mixed up link to the wrong forum.
Thanks!

Hello sir, I am a teen and I love your artwork. I read all of the FF that deals with Dr.Doom and I liked the way you drew Val & Franklin. I don't like it when artists draw kids with like a tiny head on an adult body. It looks wrong...
I also like how you draw the buildings like blocks & don't put in uberdetails.
I do love Barry Kitson on Legion, really don't know why,he's just really connected to the fans on legionworld and seems to like Sci-Fi stuff.
But maybe you two could,um,switch titles sometime in the future?

Hey Mike,
If you keep finding new places to post, I'm going to start looking like a stalker from being everywhere you are. =)
Touching tale about finding the dogs. You have a good heart man. It's people like you who made sure I got my dogs back years back when they got out. They were both hit by cars and finally someone with a heart like your's stopped and wrapped them in warm towels and brought them back to me. I took them immediately to the vet and they made full recoveries.
