Dream Girl and Brainiac 5

We know that Dream Girl is dead, she was killed in Elysion's attack on the Legion Headquarters. There are two problems. The first is that Brainiac made some comment about "fixing her power" when she said that she couldn't see into the future anymore. The second is that she said that she was going to be married to B5 in the future way back in issue 2.

In order for her to marry Brainy, she has to survive somehow. Maybe he gave her a sedative or something that simulated death in order to "give" her a reason for her blackout, hence the reason he put the shield over her body to protect it.

Maybe I'm still in denial, and Waid killed her because he didn't want two active females with white hair on the roster.

I'm sure that even in the future they have sarcasm.

HOWEVER, this little "prediction" aside they are laying on the Dead Dream Girl a little thick. She's still managed to be in every issue since her death, even showing up in the roll call, albeit with a large "Deceased" and she's still in that force bubble. They're not letting her plot get forgotten.

If Dawnstar, Blok, and Tyroc (and Supergirl for that matter) are coming back to the LSH, I don't see why Dream Girl can't or won't.

We don't know if Nura was kidding Querl, or if she really saw them married. I think she was kidding. Just a jab to get his goat.

I do think that Querl is trying to figure out a way to bring her back, which might be a re-exploration of the super-clones/Unkillables plot thread, we'll have to wait and see.

Waid said at one point, that the characters who'd had spotlight issues, weren't actually among his favourites. Nura was one, and he used her quite well - right before killing her off. It makes sense to do this with her, because she's never been killed in previous continuities. Projectra, and Luornu (twice) have, along with Tasmia (in the future, and Laurel, and Tinya was believed killed, which only leaves Imra, Ayla and Salu of the current team, and IIRC, Imra was one of the future dead. My opinion, anyway.
