Organizing music

I have a lot of pop songs on my computer (everything from the late 50's to the present) and I'm looking for a way to organize them so I can put them to cd's. I have the Billboard book of Top 40 hits and was wondering if anybody knew of a website that listed the same sort of infomation (song, artist, release date) but in chronological order.

If you want to know when a song was recorded, this (http://www.allmusic.com[/url) and this (http://www.google.com) are your best friends. If you just want a site that lists every charting song in chronological order, I think Billboard.com makes you pay for that.
