I think the leather and spikes are more about the hound stuff than S+M. Rachel is actually a prude like her dad. Read the Hellfire Club issue with her in it, and you can see her reaction to what those people do. Emma and Lady Mastermind on the otherhand... it wouldn't even faze them. Sexy maybe, because she doesn't really try to impress, but bitchy and naughty? Nah. Lobdell tried to write her as sarcastic bitchy in Excalibur, but it was really off character.
