So... Dr. Fate and Mordru are jumping through different dimensions/elseworlds and they pass through the battle at Kingdom Come.

Did they just abduct the Kingdom Come Superman?

Are you suggesting the Kingdom Come Superman is impersonating the Earth-2 Superman...?

I think which the true intention of the writer was show that Multiverse still exists! If you repair, all the things occurs simultaneously with Infinite Crisis, no before like you suggest.

How can the multiverse exist if the universes were done away with at the end of COIE? And so how could the elseworlds and hypertime be them?

Well...

Technically, the pre-Crisis Multiverse was not made up of alternate timelines.

Alternate timelines have, will and do continue to exist. Crisis didn't impact that.

What Crisis did was to eliminate multuple universes that existed on different harmonic or dimensional planes.

Alternate timelines are like branches that fork off from a tree at critical points.

Pre-Crisis Universes occupied a single timeline. They were like a bundle of sticks. That bundle got merged into one stick but didn't affect the rest of the tree.

I think a multiverse still exists...kinda sorta. LOL

Spoilers for Captain Atom: Armageddon ahead.

In Captain Atom: Armageddon #2, Majestic uses his Difference Machine to check through all the computers in all the universes to see if Cap Atom can go home. Of course, his Difference Machine picks up something else...

That is, of course, Captain Atom, being an anomoly to WSU Earth, is a universe destroying timebomb.

He points out that Cap Atom's Earth is one of at least 73 different Earths. Cap Atom's Earth is "DCU Earth" and that they are on "WSU Earth." Which are different Universes, supposedly.

So, in effect, we could say that a multiverse exists already...if only unofficially. It's just not "the" Multiverse.

To make a long story short, Cap Atom is stuck on WSU Earth with no way to get back home and about to go "nuclear" on a universal scale. Hence the name of the mini "Armargeddon"...

Now, the questions are:

1) How connected are WSU and DCU?
2) Are the IC and Armageddon timelines insync?

Best explanation I've heard.

The bit with Batman and Joker was from The Nail, right?

Yeah, if anything was intended to deal with the alternate timelines, it was Zero Hour (for all the good that did).

I'm not implying that he's the Earth-2 Superman Kal-L, but I'm asking because the Kingdom Come Superman is thrown backwards at the Mordru/Fate combination, and then in the next panel where he speaks, the background is different.

That would be my assumption (since I never read The Nail).

I liked how Champagne pulled off the going through 2 Elseworlds' worlds, I was expecting something different.
