DVDs: Jeff Brady gave me his extra copies of Monty Python Live dvds. Man, it's awesome. Jeff rocks!

I'm renting Sports Night from Netflix right now. And I'm falling in love with Aaron Sorkin all over again.

Games: Hmm, do board games count? I bought the Trivial Pursuit DVD: Pop Culture Ed. for a board game night I hosted on Saturday. It's fun, but the dvd element doesn't come into play very often. In fact, the dvd part is pretty stupid.

Electronic games: I just bought Texas Hold'em for my video iPod from iTunes. I can't put it down, it's so freakin' good! I have yet to win a game, oh but I will, I WILL!

Dvds X 3.Was an ok X-Men movie good if your a giant X-Man fan.

Blood Rayne. Yep I bought it. Was hoping if it was bad it Be Mystery Science 300 bad. Bad, but not bad enough to be funny. Still, How do you have Billy Zane, Ben Kingsley, Michael Man, & Meat Loaf and screw up a script so bad it bombs? Granted Ben Kingsley was a great vampire in it. But, it was just beyond bad and not in a funny way. Cassandra "Elvira" Peterson hosting this at 4 am, wouldn't even save it. Mostly the big names were Ben Kingsley and Mike Man. Oh and Blood Rayne was the woman from T3. This movie was just terable. Don't rent it. Don't watch the trailers. It's so Bad Ed Wood would be offended.

Oh and it came with the PC version of Blood Rayne 2. But, I hated the first game so I probably won't play it. Thanx for your time.

JLU Seaon One. Had two epasiods devoted to Huntress. 3 if you count the Question one. Why is the Question so much cooler in the cartoon than in the comic? Granted he was more like his Rochette conter part there than the cartoon. In the last Epasoids theres ebven an omoge to the Watch Men, ware Question asks Super Man if he told every one about the Evil JLA What woud he do fry him? Their ware also a few epasoids that had Huntress fighting in them. I liked the tapes. Though it was odd seeing Power Girl as a villan. Wel, sort of a villan. Great DVD set.

Oh and I bought Nacho Libre. How to put it nicely? I don't like that movie.

Justice League Heroes for X-box

My girlfriend and I played through this game and really had fun. I've gotten her interested in comic books and video games and other cool things since we've been together. She had a blast being Wonder Woman, Superman, Hawkgirl and Flash. She doesn't much care for Martian Manhunter, though. She thinks he's ugly. I played mostly as Batman, Superman or Zatanna.

I'm working my way through the DVDs of Season 5 of 24, and loving it. The commentaries are cool too. Informative, but also amusing, as they were recording shortly after that specific episode aired, but before the whole season was shot (so some of the commentators don't know how things ended, heh).

I also got on DVD the Samurai Trilogy with Toshiro Mifune. But I haven't watched them yet. Looking forward to that. (Yes, I read subtitles. :) )

Just got a hold of a film by one of the creators of Blair Witch. I know, I know, I know. *groan* The biggest, cheapest, smash hit, that really didn't deliver anything, in decades.

Hold on. It actually kicks much ass. It's called Altered, and it's unlike any movie I've seen. The story involves a group of guys who had previously been abducted by extraterrestrials, and who had been mucked with for days. One of the guys never makes it back. The movie opens with three of the remaining four going into the woods with harpoons and bear traps and whatnot, in an attempt to capture of of the E.T.s. Guess what? It works, and they tape it up in blankets for transport to the fourth survivor's house. Unfortunately, the fourth guy wants nothing to do with it, under the premise that what humans do to wild animals that kill a human, the aliens will do to them. I don't want to spoil this for anyone, but it just gets crazier and crazier, gorier and gorier, and just downright NUTZ.

The alien is shown in minimal detail until the end. Sort of one of those instances where it's actually more creepy to not know.

I highly reccomend everyone see this. If you don't want to shell out the bucks to buy it, rent it via Netflix or Buster.

I just got Arrested Development Season 1 and 2 on DVD. Now I can't stop telling people that I've seen seven nipples today...

I looked everywhere for Season 1 but couldn't find it. No joke, I looked in two towns and a city in one state and another city in another state. Nowhere to be found, but Season 3 was everywhere and I occasionally saw Season 2.

But here's my question.

HOW THE F*@& CAN I WATCH SEASON TWO OR THREE WITHOUT HAVING SEEN SEASON ONE?!??!?

I swear, I wanted to give these places my money, but they just didn't want it.

I just ordered "Pandora's Box'. with Louise Brooks (man, she was something) and directed by Pabst.

It sounds as if it is a fantastic dvd package with a real look at Brooks' unique life.

OH! And how could I forget?! I got "The Double Life of Veronique" as well. I saw this film like a long time ago. I've been waiting for it on DVD forEVER! Finally Criterion has it (they rule) and I can get it.

Kieslowsky made some of my favorite films. And he worked fantastically with Irene Jacob. Kieslowsky/Jacob and Pabst/Brooks were two GREAT combos. I am looking forward to seeing "Veronique" for the first time in a while, and seeing "Pandora's Box" for the first time ever.

lately it's been Phoenix Wright : Ace Attorney 3 Trials and Tribulations and Virtua Fighter 5 online......I normally don't like fighting games but fr some reason I've always loved virtua fighter due to it's concentration on complexity and forcing of mastery. I love mastering things so having a fighting system that's more about being smart and knowing what moves to use in which situation rather than combos, button mashing, and reversals is awesome. I love playing a fighting game that forces me to be smart.

I've not watched Mullholland Drive since I bought it. I saw it when it first came to DVD, but I don't remember much about it other than enjoying it despite being confused. As for Twin Peaks, I've only watched the pilot and the first four or five episodes. No special features, yet. When I get there I'll let you know, though.

By the way, if you're not aware it's only $64 dollars at DeepDiscount and with their upcoming (currently running?) Fall Sale it'll be really close to $50. I paid $90 at Best Buy because patience is not one of my strong points.

Damn the BBC for erasing parts of these. Twelve parts to "The Daleks' Master Plan" and all we get left are three epsiodes?! Is there ANY way to get into Doctor Who if I have never seen an episode before?

Actually, what I recommend is that they start with the first episode of any of the new Doctors. There is usually a little recap to transition and then the new actor sets about immediately making the role his own. If you like what you see then follow that Doctor up until his regeneration and then pick a new Doctor.

What makes things hard is that the BBC is not putting the stories out on DVD in order. Therefore you can get box sets of all the episodes from the series relaunch in 2005 but stuff before that is put out based on some format that makes sense only to the BBC. For example, this year alone it looks like fans are going to get stories from Jon Pertwee's tenure, Tom Baker's, and William Hartnell's.

Stop by Wikipedia for some good background or one of the myriad Doctor Who fansites and they usually have a kind of 'beginner's guide to Doctor Who' that can catch you up to speed so you can jump in almost anywhere.

War a great movie. And the Hammer horror series. It's got 8 clasic hammer films. I bought it for Night Creatures. Couldn't find the Desney DVDS about the Scare crow. And theres something cool about Peter Cushing playing the Scare Crow. They changed his name from Dr. Synn to Dr. Blyss so desney wouldn't sew. The rest of the characters stasy simnce everyu thing else was P.D. he's still called Captain Cleg. In his old life. And they gave him back the daughter as was in the book. And removed the son Desney added. Well, he had a son too in the book, but never finds him. Any way it's a great DVD collection. And I think this is the only Super hero DVD Hammer ever put out. It also has a lot Hammer clasics. Bries of Dracula, The curse of the ware wolf, Phantom of the Opers, Paranoiac, The Kiss of the Vampire, The Evil of Frankenstein. Saddly no Camarilla or Dracula stil;l a great collection. I got it for Night Creatchers couldn't find it by it's self so I got the whole thing. It was called Night Creatrchers since they had planed to turn the book I am Legend into a movie, but England said it was to horiffic to be masde atr the time and they wouldn't let hammer.

So insteed they took the Dr. Synn alasas the Scarcrow books and made a movie about the Revand anti hero super hero. The othewr movies are good too. The horror movies fit in the classic horror mode so if yoyu like Saw this is not the collection for you. Their horror movies not gore. But, if you see Beli Logssis Dracula as the greatest Drac movie then you might like these.

Tomorrow it's released.... NEW SUPER FRIENDS DVD! 'The All New Super Friends Hour'.

I love the adventure shorts, but I wish they'd show some of the PSAs, and 'fun on a rainy day' segments. I wanna see Batman & Robin teach me how to make popsicles with juice, an ice tray, cellophane and tooth picks and Wonder Woman teach me magic! Also, hopefully there'll be some Wonder Twin shorts.

As a former high school "Brian Krakow", I cannot promise I will cease projecting telekinetic waves of hate upon that flawless FUCKER.

Kingdom Under Fire: Circle Of Doom - I liked the demo and I like slicing little lizard dudes with really big swords. I am currently leveling up my Japanese-Goth-with-a-Spanish-accent-vampire-prince guy.

Zodiac: The Director's Cut - I deliberately avoided seeing this in theaters or on it's initial DVD release because I heard about the director's cut. The doc on the second disc is really, really good. All interviews, no narration. Man, my heart damn near broke listening to some of the policemen describe the crime scenes and finding the victims.

Is there ANY way to get into Doctor Who if I have never seen an episode before?

I agree with the other comments posted here. I would add that the current 3 seasons should be started at the beginning as each series was 13 episodes long but refers back to events in the beginning of the season. Clever writing and great characters.

I have to pick this up. I have the the Super Friends DVDs from the pre-Wonder Twins era, but I prefer the Wonder Twins. I love the PSAs and 'fun on rainy days' segments also. I saw one recently where Wonder Woman was telling kids not to chew on pencils because ty contained lead. It was hilarious.
