After attending the show last night, I can proudly say that I HAVE!!
Oh man, this was an awesome event!
A string section, 3 guitars, bass, keys, drums, multiple singers of various genres and styles, some comedy, a light show, and pyro.
It was a Christmas Rock Concert!
Although I didn't enjoy the performance of my favorite TSO song "Old City Bar" because I didn't care for the vocalist's take on the song, I thought everything else was so damn amazing it took my breath away.
You've got to see this for yourself.
My Goodness, they had a freaking awesome drum solo in the show for pete's sake!
It was my early birthday present from my parents and I went with my brother and his girlfriend, we all had a great time. My brother vows to go to the show every year now, his girlfriend was VERY accomodating to him last night according to his bragging, and I got to see the show I've been dying to see for 5 years!
Check out Trans-Siberian.com (http://www.trans-siberian.com) for the remaining concert dates this year!

A girl I work with and her husband try to see them every year. They always clamor about what a great show it is.
Refresh my memory, who makes up TSO? What group(s) did they come from?

Won't be able to see them this year, but I've seen them three times before. Awesome shows.
Refresh my memory, who makes up TSO? What group(s) did they come from?Basically, TSO = Savatage + full orchestra.

I didn't even know they toured. No GA gigs and nothing really close left, damnation.

I went to see TSO a couple of weeks ago, and I was really pleasantly surprised. Great show. I'd recommend it to anyone, it's a lot of fun.

Knowing my luck with tours they probably haven't done a gig in Georgia during that 5 years, sigh.

Did they do any Savatage stuff or was it just TSO material?

No Savatage. They did make mention to the band when I saw 'em. They did do a blues jam though. Non-TSO stuff.

They didn't make any mention of Savatage during the show I went to.
However, technically they did do one SAVATAGE song.
Remember, "Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24" began life as a SAVATAGE song.

I saw them back in November when they hit Atlantic City.
Amazing. Simply amazing. There was maybe one thing I didn't like, and that was that I couldn't really hear the instrumental group off to the side (the cellos, the violins, etc.), but that wasn't that big of a deal.
I'm definitely going to try to get tickets for next year's show.
I was so close to getting Paul O'Neill's signature, but the show started before I could. Got everybody else's though.
