Tracii Guns has reportedly joined the 2006 lineup of Quiet Riot.

Life of Agony has split with Epic Records after just one album on the label. Broken Valley sold pretty poorly.

The Crimson Glory reunion album tentatively due in 2007 is set to be titled Divine Chaos.

And in the biggest and best news of the day, guess who's been tapped to sing the role of Dr. X on the new Queensryche CD Operation:mindcrime album due out March 14th?

Hey DonC,

Tracii Guns is the new guitarist. DuBrow remains on vocals with Frankie Banali on drums. They are looking for a bassist. Sorry about that.

As for your comment about Dio, I was thinking of a different four letter word when I read that great news!

Zombie,

Yep, it came out March 1st.

Thanks for reading the article, I was beginning to wonder if anyone had read it from CBR.

While it was relatively easy to write the article I had to come up with the list in the first place, and then order the selections. And I only had about 60 albums to go through, the site owner did about 3 times the amount of reviews I did.

Aaah, hell, I thought Guns was the singer. My bad.

And, yeah, Dio singing Dr. X should be awesome.

And I read your article, too. Nice #1, but if you could include live albums, I would have put Iron Maiden's Death on the Road there.

There's no restrictions about studio albums vs. live albums. The Antigone Rising album was recorded live in front of audience.

I simply haven't HEARD the Death on the Road CD.

Exctatically throws up the horns.

Speaking of Ronnie James Dio, any idea when his new album will be out and if it will be the rumoured sequel to Magica?

I haven't seen anything about the new album yet or if it'll be the second of 3 Magica tales.

Apparently Dio plans to start recording the new album after the New Year. Then they'll take a break for some concert dates and finish the album in time to be released by the end of 2006.

Here's four samples to sample from the JJ Marsh CD Music From Planet Marsh. I like his guitar playing with Glenn Hughes but overall I didn't particularly care for these songs.
