Does anybody ever think of their own deaths? It's because death is the great equalizer, no matter who you are, you eventually die.
"Dying should be the best thing that's ever happened to you."
How would you WANT to die?
I want to die fighting zombies, but this is mostly a fantasy.

To quote the late and great Hunter S. Thompson:
" Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming 'Wow! What a Ride!' "
Someone here at CBR actually has that as their signature I think.

Next to birth, death is the second most natural moment in life. Why does Death follow Destiny?
I wanna go out fitghting my mortal enemy to death (sans Spike and Vicious.)

I spent most of my teen years in a near-suicidal depression, so yeah, I've thought about death.
Boring answer: I want to die quietly in my sleep after having a chance to say goodbye to my children and grandchildren.

Sexual exhaustion.
Or saving the multiverse.

I've accepted it. I don't even understand fear of death anymore. Fear of specific instances, like if you're about to fall off a rooftop or get cancer, I get, but fear of death in general? It's going to happen someday. The human body stops breathing, its heart stops beating, its brain activity slowly dwindles away to nothing, and then is simply, very, intractably still. No reason to be afraid.
As to preferred method of death? Doing something that honors my religion or principles, or protecting my loved ones.

I second that motion.
Hopefully in the heart of a volcano or a rapidly plummeting plane.

Sexual exhaustion.
Or saving the multiverse.
If you are lucky, it could be one in the same. :D

I was thinking both. But that's just me.
I don't fear it I welcome it as I would welcome a friend..
I'm not too picky about how I die, but I'd rather it not be something silly.

Yeah I think of mine alot. Thanks to my grandma I was convinced I was going to die at age 18, apparently being a little overweight is a bad thing and when you combine that with a person who watches Dr. Phil and all these other couch sitting gurus you get a grandma who keeps telling her grandson the Grim Reaper is coming his way. Well I'm two years past the deadline so that's okay. Now it's my Mom who's convinced I have highblood pressure and who has chosen the Christmas holidays to try to get me to eat better.
As for how I would like to die, like my grandpa I guess. In the hospital with my closest friends and family around who all get a chance to say goodbye to me before I leave the Grey Havens.

I want to go peacefully in my sleep like my Grandfather. Not screaming and in pain like the passengers in his car.
On a serious note, I don't want to die in bed.

Funny, I had this reoccuring dream of dying in a car accident with a formere close friend(he was my best friend at the time I had the dream). I was 26 in the dream because we were talking about it. Since I am 26 now and we haven't talked in almost 5 years. If he shows up and kicking his ass out the door until late augest.

Doesn't that suggest that my life prior to dying was kind of crappy?

Something dramatic and heroic, I think. Preferably saving the world (and on camera!)
Ideally it would be painless; but, really, if I'm dying in an action sequence I've got nothing to complain about. A few minutes of intense pain doesn't compare to something like death by months of terminal illness.

Cotton said something I missed first time around:
I want to die fighting zombies, but this is mostly a fantasy.
Mostly? :)
I want to die when i am 9 million years old, made of robot parts, and king of everything.
...
And i want to choke on a chicken wing, but the best chicken wing ever.

D*mn right, he just wanted to chill at what he thought was his house and hang with his girl, and we shot him for it.
