Hmmmm. Interesting, no?

Very interesting. 2007 for daily production of several tons? Wow.

Funky!

I was hoping for nanobots though. Imagine how cool it would be having armour made of nanobots! They could disassemble bullets into their respective molecules and make more armour out of them!

Pretty much, but then again if you'd asked me yesterday about Nano-Armor I would have said it was pure science fiction.

One more thing the government can not provide for our troops.

Yeah, everybody thinks nanobots are cool until the day they dig into your dental fillings and your artificial hips to make themselves some bling-bling.

They made a functional one back in the 60s. (The jetpack in Thunderball is a real functioning jet pack) The problem is that it was relatively slow and the controls sucked.

But that doesn't get me a jetpack.

Its not our goverments to give anyways, its the Isreli goverments toy, and I doubt they'd share.

Still, more power to em. As long as it doesnt produce man eating spiders and shit its all good.

Share, no. Sell, yes. Hence all them Uzis and Desert Eagles, and I believe the Israelis are developing a new desert vehicle for us.

Most Uzis in the US are produced by Vector Arms in the US.
Most Deagles are produced by Magnum Research in the US.

Yeah, because selling breakthroughs in military technology is ALWAYS a smart move.

Afterall, how many countrys did we sell nuclear arms too after WWII? :p

Why? What's in Argentina to piss off the British?

When the Argentinians invaded soverign UK territory (the Falkland Islands) France supplied excocet anti-ship missiles to Argentina. In the early days of the war, one of our ships was destroyed by one of these missiles. Our Prime Minister -Maggie Thatcher- approached the French Premier and requested that France stop offering to integrate the Excocet systems with that of the Super Etendard fighter bomber used by the Argentinains. Maggie said that if the French did not stop doing this, nuclear weapons would be used against Argentina.

The British developed our own nukes after the US Goovernment did a U-turn on an agreement previouly made to share the tech, as the Brits and Cannucks helped with the initial research.

Thats a good point.

Even though the Isreli probably wont share the nano armor without us paying far out the ass, its only a matter of time before our scientists figure it out for themselves.

Reminds me of a story I heard in a biology class: Just before Darwin published his theory of evolution a young student sent him a thesis he wrote up for review.

It was the same stuff Darwin had come up with, almost to the letter.

If a theory exists, its only a matter of time before someone finds it.

Might surprise many of the posters here but the French imediately gavcve a lot of support for the British as soon as military action bbetween Britain and Argentina looked likely. French support in the Falklands conflict was as valuable as US support in that conflict. The French Intelligence heklped the British make sure Argentina could not get anymore exocets from the black market and they helped the British defend against such attacks.

Don't dis the tunnel, it is going to be a launching site for an invasion of the realm of the Molemen, Blair is going to send all ften soldiers that is not alreaduy currently being tied up with on of the British Army's commitments and then order the attack, with the French bravely covering the rear of the advance. :D

The US gave Britain the specs to a submarine launched nuclear missile. I believe it was the Trident missile but I am not sure.

Yes, the warheads are of a unique UK design. The ballistic missiles are distinctly American. The Submarines have a rather Scottish flavour.

"Connoisseur" (I can't spell either, but I'm like, connected to the internet).

Now that I think of it, isn't "nano-armor" a silly name? Wouldn't a "nano-armor" be an extremely small piece of protective gear?

I was thinking of thd imediatwe developement of nukes post WW2, when the US Governmenmt had the commonsense that it was probably best (for them atleast) if obnly they had nukes.

Concerning missiles I Trident are not the only US designed ballistic missiles operated by the RN as I think Polaris is of American design.

It seems Israel can only hold out on their technology for so long against US demand. Sure, it may be private sector development, but that doesn't stop things from leaking. You can't really bite the hand that feeds you and all associated cliche phrases...

Also, did someone say Canadians were helping Brits build nukes?

Are the nanos capable of reproducing themselves out of raw materials? Because if they are, it'd scare the piss it out of me if it turned into a scenario like that JLU episode, Dark Heart.
