I'm surpised noone has posted this yet. I'll do my best to summarize the issue.

Starts off with a so-so funny recap page. We find out Black Box is Commcast. He wanted the Dominus Objective b/c even though he received all electronic signals he could not process it. Him and Cable go through this mind meeting and basically in the end Cable hires him. Deadpool and the two cloned chicks keep fighting, the BAD Girls and Cat come and fight. Cat destroy's clone vats. In the end Cable gets a form of his telepathy back and I think he uses the Dominus Objective as his "telepathy". He said he felt kinda empty w/o it. Cable seems to be building up to something big. It's almost like Burnt Offering 2 is on the horizon w/ the way he's talking. It was a good action packed issue, Deadpool is good but it's not as funny as the last couple of issues. It's good action and it sets up a lot of plot to come I think. Still one of the best books out there.

Shouldve known it was Commcast. Good issue. I thought it was kind of obvious that Cable hired Deadpool before the last page. Can't wait for next issue. Deadpool vs Spider-Man!!!!!!

8/10

Anyone want to fill me in on this Commcast fellow? I can't find anything on him.

Didn't he appear briefly or atleast was contacted by Xavier to get back all the data he lost during the Phalanx Convent? That's the only memory I have of him.

I loved the action figure joke, almost expected a hovercraft reference to go along with it.

All in all I thought it was a pretty satisfying arc, good stuff.

Commcast? Wow. When are they going to have a run-in with Timme Warner?

DA DUMP BUMP! CHIN!

The lack of comedy in the past few issues will be made up for next issue. I still need to get the first twelve issues of this.

That's what I was wondering.

I love your Marvel Legends section BTW.

Heh heh, Fabian made Commcast cool. Another victory for Cable and Deadpool.

This issue was really solid. Funny, action packed, all that.

There was something about Cable and Commcast duking it out on the inter...er...INFOnet that really rung true to me as a comic book fan who's geeky enough to post on an online discussion forum all day. And Cable is now powered by the inter...er...infonet. Priceless.

There is something I have to address, though...

Patrick Zircher's art has not been good lately. Maybe it's the inker, or maybe he just needs a break after drawing like 20 consecutive issues, but it's really been getting to me. The guest/assistant penciller made me realize how much I dislike Zircher's art of late. Can you imagine how awesome this book would be with, say, Alvin Lee and UDON? I'm not suggesting that Zircher should be booted althogether, but he could definitely use some fill-ins.

Ok about this: am i the only one who doesnt like zircher's work? Im not saying I hate it, but its very boring. Every character looks the same. The udon artists have the same problem. Its this generic psuedo-anime look and I just dont find it that impressive. That being said, I was dissapointed seeing the fill in art. It wasnt as solid as Zircher's, and seemed to be all over the place.

To me, UDON trumps Zircher. Their work on Deadpool and Agent X was pretty impressive, I thought.

This book is great, but the art is very generic and unattractive, and I think that's one of the reasons it's not catching on. At first glance, I wouldn't want to buy it if I didn't love Deadpool so much.

By the way, the fill-in was all over the place because both he and Zircher worked on the issue. Two very different styles, I thought.

I agree.

This is the first issue that I was a little bit worried about in the beginning. I have no idea who comcast is.

But in the end, it was a splendid job.

I have to say, I love the artwork.

I guess I understand what it means to say it is generic, but I think it works nice for this book. It's basic clean crisp quality drawing.

I don't think it's crisp or clean. There's a bunch of facial lines all over the guys, like on their jawlines and stuff, that should not be so emphasized. The hair looks all stiff on the females, like it's an extension of their heads. The proportions tend to be a little wonky, and the muscles are too defined. I don't know if this makes sense, but it's like the bodies don't flow.

And I'm not saying that this is how Zircher always draws. His stuff on the Burnt Offering was great, I just reread it the other day. But his current stuff is just bad.

I'm only thinking about how much better this book would be overall with a cleaner artist (like the guys at Udon), and how many more people it would attract. Just look at the cover to the latest ish and see why I'm displeased.

Commcast? Wow. When are they going to have a run-in with Timme Warner?

They actually made a joke about this in the comic, with Comcast saying he existed before the media conglomerate.

I believe Comcast's first appearance was in the first Deadpool Mini-series, which I believe was written by Mark Waid.

Commcast was in Fabian's Deadpool mini entitled "The Circle Chase". I have not read Waid's mini, but I don't think he was in that ('cuz he got his ass killed by Weasel in the first one, right?).

If I could only buy one comic each month, it'd definitely be C/D. Fabian never ceases to entertain me. I appreciate ya bud! Next to Dan Jurgens' run on Thor, he's been the only writer that has delivered on every issue, and kept me coming back for more. May your tenure be long and prosperous my friend!

This was probably my least favorite arc of the whole series so far. It was decent, but compared to the rest I didn't like it mich. However, I think that the book will reclaim all it's glory next issue, and then the next arc. It's going to be great.

Because he seems to be doing a bunch of other things right now and it could always just be some shapeshifter.

Wolverine appears in tons of books a month and its fine. Plus not everything in the MU takes place at the same time.

Don't think about time to much with Marvel... or the world will implode

He got shot, but not killed by Weasel. Rive and Makeshift were killed, though. And Commcast was around before the company, Comcast.

"COMMCAST"
Real Name: Garabed Bashur
Group Affiliation: Executive Elite
Bibliography: Deadpool (vol.1) #2,3
X-Men (vol.2) #38 (mentioned only)
X-Men Unlimited (vol.1) #3
Thunderbolts (vol.1) #51
He also appeared in at least one issue of Gambit (vol.3). I believe it was #3, but he was in civilian attire, meeting with "Courier" (II), Jacob Gavin, Jr..
