It looks quite pleasing, but I'd hoped that there would be more of a funeral scene for Rogue.

Jean looks like a total babe on the cover.
I wonder how many dudes she's gonna smooch before this is over.
1. Nightcrawler
2. Wolverine
...and I bet there will be a little sumthin sumthin w/ Cyke whenever they see each other.
Meanwhile, I think this looks good. I hope they take the Shi'ar to the cleaners. Somebody should.
PS- Did anyone else catch that 'clandestine' in there? He uses it in every issue. :p

Yea I hope we get a lil Scott/Jean. Maybe a lil nod to UXM#137 cover. It'd make this fanboy happy to have those two be the last ones left against the entire Shi'ar Empire. This book is really good and I really have enjoyed the entire X-Men The End.

Bobby was one of Rogue's best friends, and his reaction to her death was like "bummer". odd.

Rough times. I'd expect an experienced X-Man like him not to let emotion get in the way.

He's probably just kind of numb. Everyone is getting blowed up!

I forgot. The Shiar homeworld is Chandlar. Hopefully, Rachel will blow it up in Uncanny X-Men.
I'm really not liking the art on this, but this is a solid Claremont story. Perfect for any X-Men fanboy.

i haven't seen chen's pencils in a while, and he used to be one of my favorites... but this is not a pretty set of pages. i haven't touched any of the end books and i'm glad not to have, but man, chen has either slipped a little or was having an off day with this pages.

I know! He was way better in his Iron Man days...

definitely. i have that entire run (all of iron-man 3rd series) and chen's work seemed much more involving than his work as presented here. maybe this is more so for the bank and not the creative aspect? maybe it's the story? maybe it's something else? i don't know. it just seems lacking given what i have seen in the past.

CC said that Book three of XM:The End would show everyone alot older and the kids adults. Why are they not older?
I must agree with Blackcat, they could atleast show the kids grieving or talking about what a wonderful woman their mom was.

Psylocke and Wolverine look a lot older (especially on the first page). Just look at the wrinkles and lines on their faces.
Oh, and question: How much time has passed between Book II and Book III? Claremont said we'd be seeing everyone much older and the kids matured to adulthood, but in this preview issue, everyone is talking like Book II just happened hours before??? What is the timeframe associated with this series?
