Moonstar? I'm starting to think Warren didn't lose his powers.

Sure looks like Dani to me. Archery is fine, as long as they don't restore her "psychic arrows" power.

Wow, this cover is...different. It makes me think her story is far from done...

I believe it's Dani. Consider that:
A) She's being drawn somewhat stereotypically Native American.
B) Dani was depowered.
C) She's gotta be pretty pissed after getting kicked out of the X-Mansion by Emma.
Wild speculaton: She's probably gathered up some fellow depowered mutants and is going after the serial murderer in this book.

If this ends up with everybody getting their powers back, I'm calling this one as the crappiest "non-event" of the decade.
What a cop-out.

It doesn't look like the psychic arrow to me, if that's what it's supposed to be, but rather a regular arrow with fire lit on the head of the arrow. BUT it might be the psionic arrow...anyways, this is most definitely Moonstar. I could see her gathering a group of former mutants for a cause....at least she's not just sitting around. Hey, maybe she could go back and work for SHIELD?

that's definitely moonstar, and the image of her shooting an arrow is (as i take it) reflective of when she had powers, along the lines of the other generation m covers (chamber, jubilee, blob, warren).

Looks like the Professor to me.

On second thought... I MAY have been overreacting. ;)
Still, I get the feeling something is going to happen at the end of this series. We'll see in March. :)

If Dani is the serial killer, I'm going to be so pissed. :evilangry

The girl beside Dani resembles Wallflower.

Ironically, it looks like now that Dani is powerless, she's finally going to get to kick some arse - instead of being a den mother who takes orders from Emma Frost. She was always the toughest and most versatile of the New Mutants. Can't wait to see her leading a street-team of former muties, or whatever she's doing.

I agree with you; the image of her and arrow is an image of her back when she had her powers; the one of her in front of the former mutants (my guess anyway) is her present image.

I definetely remember that costume from New Mutants. Why do they wear these leather strips around their legs and arms? Psylocke has it too on her costume. They couldn't have any functionality? And they would never stay up!

Nope, that costume was when she was with X-Force from issues 70-100.

Yes that's it! X-Force Road trip. I liked that stuff but not the art so much. They should bring back Warpath, what is he doing now?

That was my favorite era of X-Force, and one of my favorite runs in a comic ever. I loved the art! First it was Adam Pollina on the art, the with issue 80, Jim Cheung took over. Good stuff.
Not sure where Warpath is right now, but the way Marvel is treating its mutants these days, I'd almost rather have him stay in Limbo where at least he would be safe!

You know I really like this cover. I really wasn't a fan of Pollina's Moonstar, but Immomen knows how to do really colorful and powerful images. So the serial killer is after this reporter and Warren Worthington III, who seems to have been a fake-out in the first place, maybe the reporter did an article on Warren when he lost his powers.
So my guess is that Cameron Hodge is back then, and would fit in with this hatred of bureaurcratic and corporate fatcats with the reporter and Warren. Yet, I remember that Stacy X was also solicited to be in this series. The MO could fit her too.
