Which movie is worse then the other?
GINO. I actually love the Fantastic Four movie.

What is CINO? Is it really that hard to type out the whole name?

'Catwoman in Name Only', the utterly-awful movie titled 'Catwoman' starring Halle Berry.
And on topic -- like there's even a choice here. F4 was a -- somebody has to use this pun -- fantastic film, it was fun and cool and exciting.
CINO just stank. Awful writing, awful fight scenes, zero logic, awful story-telling in general. I could've done better with that script :( .
why is the FF movie even included in a list (?) like this? it was a fun family film the final fight scene was worth the price of admission itself.Catwoman feh did not for one second even want to finish watching the trailer let alone the film! :D I can't see what the fuss is about Halle Berry she was ok in x-men she was ok in swordfish not seen monsters ball but one out of three .....not a great ratio of good to crappy films

I didn't like the Fantastic Four movie (or was that FINO?), I thought it was bland, generic Hollywood tripe, with no wit, no grace, and no sense of dramatic flow. Maybe Catwoman was worse, but it would be like comparing rotten apples with rotten oranges.

Please. The Fantastic Four is a pretty damn good movie. Good story, Ben, Doom and Johnny were all fantastically protryed, and the movie captured the feel of the comic.
Catwoman....didnt.

Okay, I'm leaving this up, but with the caution that these which-is-worse threads almost invariably spiral into someone pissing off someone else and posts get reported and I end up deleting or closing the whole thing... so in an effort to head that off, I'll say it now: play nice. Whichever one loses, it's not a personal slight, people.

I agree totally. Fantastic Four was good. Catwoman sucks, and so does anyone who likes it.
Kidding. Sorry.

Catwoman was really bad. FF was a lot of fun.

Yeah.
I mean why exactly was that god-damn movie even made?
Why? How?
It just makes me insane to think that someone actually though that they'd be contributing something worthwhile to the Catwoman mythos by the addition of Halle Berry in ripped up leather with a bad script.

I am so glad to see there is some support for the much-maligned FF movie. It wasn't as thoughtful as Batman Begins but it worked for me. From the Star Wars finale, BB and War of the Worlds, it seemed like there was one dark, depressing movie after another. FF was a fun summer movie and I bought the DVD last week to see it again. I still think it is not the bomb a lot of detractors have made it out to be. And DVD sales seem to be pretty strong from preliminary figures... around 2 million.

Like I said in my last review Fantastic Four may have it's flaws but the interaction between Johnny and The Thing and the hotness of Jessica Alba made the film enjoyable.
Catwoman is like watching a surgery being done by a couple of surgeons that are high on speed.
Fantastic Four currently is the best selling DVD right now so that also answers your question on which film is worse.
Hell even BINO is tolerable compared to CINO.

Agreed.
Fun doesn't mean stupid. It was a pretty condescending and unorganized film, especially compared to the wave of great Marvel flicks we've been getting lately. Dr. Doom was an extremely boring and extrodinarily bland villain, so much so that I just didn't care if the FF were in trouble or not ('a hero is defined by the quality of villain, etc etc'). The only thing handled well was Thing and Alicia. This flick was the opposite of the first X-Men (and I wasn't too thrilled with that movie, either), in that the feats came first, personality second for the FF.
Now, with that said, give me FF over Catwoman ANY day.
And... what's BINO?

Personally, I thought FF was a better movie than the first X-Men movie. They nailed Torch and Ben, and they came really, really close with Reed and Sue. Doom could have been a bit better, but overall came off as properly menancing.
I have never understood why Jessica Alba got crap for her protrayal of Sue. She was much, much closer to Sue than Hallie Berry was to Storm. She came off as hot, sophisticated, and strong, all of which Sue is.
I am very much looking forward to FF2.

And... what's BINO?
On a guess, "Batman in Name Only"?
But he can't be talking about "Begins" as that was one of the greatest superhero films ever and if anybody disagrees with that they are objectively wrong and I can prove it with graphs.
And the first couple of Burton-Batman films weren't *too* bad. Maybe he's referring to Schumacher-Batman? Which would definitely classify as BINO.

I sincerely hope that you're correct in that assumption.

I don't think I'd go that far, but F4 was definitely a better flick than a lot of people give it credit for.
There's no two ways about it, though -- there's no comparison to it and 'Catwoman'. Didn't F4 actually do pretty well, in terms of sales? I heard that 'Catwoman' was such a flop that Village Roadshow had to sell one of its lesser companies to make up the difference.

I really dug Fantastic Four, and haven't really seen any valid criticisms, except for dumb nitpicky stuff like (where's the rocketship? Why isn't Johnny blonde?) and some gripes about Dr.Doom.
Basically, I don't have a problem with Doom, as I see this as 'post-scarring/pre-first-appearance' Doom, so he's not going to be the master supervillain yet.
And I certainly preferred it over the considerably more flawed 'Batman Begins'.
I am very much looking forward to FF2.
I know that I just trashed FF, but I sincerely hope that the FF franchise follows the pattern of recent Marvel sequels. X2, Spidey 2, and Blade 2, I feel, were all much MUCH stronger films than their originals.
I'm saying it wouldn't be hard to make FF2 that much better :)
