Speculating on the Batbooks in March - OYL *SPOILERS*

The main CBR page has the preview for March so I won't repost them here.

This is all pure speculation

Batman/Detective - Newly appointed police commissioner? Anyone else wondering if they're hinting at some Earth 2 connections possibly? Maybe Comissioner Wayne?

Catwoman - No longer Catwoman or Selina Kyle? Maybe Selina Wayne - Another Earth 2 connection.

It seems obvious this is where there heading which kind of makes me think its not going to go that way.


Nightwing and Robin - Well they both seem to be hiding or wanted for bad things. It sounds like the missing year won't go so well for them. I wonder if the stories will just start with the running and give readers some clue as to what's going on or will the 52 series play a part in their story?

So far I think Batman and Detective are on my definate list and Robin is in the maybe list. I really don't have a lot of intersest in the others.

I just wish all the earth 2 crap would go away and DC would just concentrate on telling GOOD STOIES without having to resort to the cliched "earth 1 or 2" crapola we're being inundated with at the moment.

I'm really looking forward to the new writer on Detective and Batman. Hopefully we can get some understandable continuity.

I am much more hopeful for the Bat-books as opposed to what they have been lately. Though I am still pissed about Batgirl being cancelled.

Plus I was right about Akins' head being on the chopping block.

The emblem looks more like an enlarged traditional yellow-oval bat (minus the oval of course) and the utility belt is different.

I've always liked the black bat on the grey shirt. The yellow oval always looked like a target to me.

So glad it's just one writer for both main bat-books. So glad it's him(the writer)! I wonder if there's more than one batman running about. With or without bruce's consent. Heck, he can't be everywhere in that city at once. Not even through his crew.. Another is always welcomed ;) Unless it's two bruce's.

War games suffered from all those different teams.. The synergy was off, or just missing.

both those covers are nice. the differences in suits look more like a product of artistic liscense than any sort of purposeful cosmetic difference.

I can't believe I didn't notice it until someone else pointed it out.

Anyone notice the knife on the cover of Nightwing? Looks very similiar to the Red Hood's . So speculating...

Dick is now Batman and Jason is Nightwing?

The idea of Nightwing being a killer isn't exactly thrilling to me but its possible. Of course a lot can happen in a year so who knows.


Looking at the Outsiders cover it seems like Dick is still Nightwing there but really both Dick and Jason have dark hair. Also a year has passed so either of them could've let their hair grow a little (the hair does seem a little longer on top).

So... any guesses?

Yeah that has to be a flashback, Robin's costume is still the current one.
