Is DC trying to 'punish' (pardon the pun) Garth Ennis by not releasing the rest of the Hitman series in collected editions so he can't collect any royalties on that property?
I bought the five TPBs that have been published and have been awaiting since 2001 for the others. It's like you have half of a movie and the studio is keeping the other half in its vaults for no reason whatsever other than to aggrivate its audience.
Losers.

The books didn't sell that well. They haven't ruled out more TPBs, but they didn't have any planned last time they mentioned it.
That's all. No conspiracy.

That's certainly an improvement. In 2003 they said "Everyone who wants to read Hitman already has so we won't be doing more trades."

I'd love to read them all in trade.
Starting a write-in campaign might work.

I dunno. I think the evidence strongly suggests that it's not financially viable for DC to finish reprinting the series (especially since it'd take at least another five trades to do it).
But, err... what kind of vendetta would DC have against Ennis? I don't see them ceasing printing on PREACHER to avoid paying him royalties. And he's done tons of work for DC since the last HITMAN trade was published in 2001. And he's currently working on a JLA: CLASSIFIED arc featuring - yep, you got it. Hitman.
So forget about letter writing campaigns. If you really want to see more HITMAN trades, buy the Hitman JLA: CLASSIFIED arc to show DC there's a market for that sort of thing.

I, too, have been waiting in vain for years to complete my Hitman collection.

IIRC they said something that everyone took to mean that, and then a few days later they clarified what they said as meaning that they didn't have any current plans to do trades as they weren't selling that well. Not that they'd ruled out doing any more trades
