Alicia Gorenson v. Sarah Chalke

Better on Roseanne and cuter, now?

I liked Lecy on Roseanne better, she was obviously on more and I liked her character more, it spoke of more anger and depth than the one Sarah played on the show. I also thought she was cute until I saw Sarah as her on and off again replacement.

But now, seeing them both as mature women, I think they both are very good looking young girls. :)

Sarah Chalke, thats the woman from Scrubs right? The first Becky was a whiny self-centered brat while the second one made Becky mellow out abit and more mature.

yeah, but didn't that make her more interesting? and really, if you lived in roseanne's family, who wouldn't be dysfunctional? ;)

I agree that the original Becky WAS a whiny, self-centered drama queen. Darlene gradually became a more appealing character as she got older. She was certainly wittier and her angst was more interesting than Becky's. I appreciated Gorenson's portrayal, but liked Chalke's because she didn't seem like a social-climbing brat who didn't want to be seen in public with the Connors. Legato pegged the appeal of Chalke's Becky--laidback, mellow, mature, and (imo) more believable as a member of a blue-collar family.

I think both actresses served the role in those two phases of Becky's life, as Becky always seemed like the one to work her butt off and make something of herself, and then she meets that guy she's willing to sacrifice her future for, and that's where Chalke comes in, as I think she did handle that aspect of the character better. I did love when Lecy Gorason came back, and everyone was like, "Where the hell have you been?"

2nd Becky was way hotter than the 1st Becky, but 1st Becky was a better actress.

That's because the second one wasn't on screen often as the first one so she didn't have a chance to develope her skills.

The first one was a better actress but that still didn't ignore the fact that she was annoying with her constant whining.

Sarah Chalke didn't show much talent as an actress until Scrubs.
