One of my favorites is when Jean asks Emma why she is such a b*tch and Emma say something like it's selective breeding. I can't really remeber how it was exactly said, but I think it's funny. :p

This was from an issue of Peter Davids all new all different X-Factor, as said by Guido when hes fighting some guy with a really big chin. He knocks him into a wall and the guy gets really pissed and guido says:

The black guy was one of co-conspirators who beat Xavier up in Uncanny X-Men #193 wanted him killed in Uncanny X-Men #196. Rachel saved Xavier from his fate, but she wanted him & all of his conspitators killed. They were about to murder Kitty when Rachel stopped the bullet with her telekinesis & redirected it at the black guy. Magneto stopped the bullet in mid-air, but Rachel was fighting Magneto until he talked Rachel out of killing the people. Rachel also reverted to her Hound costume & mask which she tried desperately to hide from the other X-Men.

the end book two/issue two...scott has been at the helm waging the ongoing battle against the xmen and the mutants...and at this point he's losing...he's got a drink in one hand and a picture of his children in the other and he wonders what the frill he's gonna do...he's listening to sage's assessement of the situation and kitty walks in...she's been on the front lines but she's also been running for mayor of chicago...

sage reminds her she's trailing in the polls...kitty thanks her then turns to scott...

kitty, earlier in the issue, was thinking that to "be an x-man was to be ready to fight and sadly -- thank god, rarely -- to kill." she went on thinking that it was why xavier was particular about who he recruited...she thought about how school covered a broader spectrum where kids not only wanted to learn how to safely use their powers but "wanted an education"

it was why she thought scott's declaration was the right decision "but it wasn't the answer." she has her own ideas but scott cut her off with "you should go back to chicago."

y'see guys, that and other quotes like that are what made the xbooks, knowing when to step up to the plate and believing in what you were doing...in another thread the question was ask about mutants not caring about humans...claremont's the end might be an alternate reality compared to what's going on now but it speaks to the xmen...

The full line (not to mention the title of the issue in question) was "Professor Xavier is a Jerk!" Later quoted in AXM #1.

UXM #168: Kitty faces off against three Sidri hunters after encountering the dragon she first met two issues earlier on Broodworld. She is in contact with Professor X during the battle.

i cant remember the exact quote, but Jamie Madrox is under a pile of burning rubble and the bad guy is explaining to him what happened and Madrox says something like "I knew it" and then the bad guy says "Yeah well your girlfriend is the one doing it" and Madrox looks confused for a sec and then says "I knew that too!" It was in Multiple Choice mini. If youve read it you know what Im talking about.
