On survivor more often than not. The first Survivor off isn't the weak link or someone that doesn't belong. Just someone that made a bad first impression. So would you be in favor of Survivor doing a second chance season for all the first off castaways? Maybe have them compete against the second off castaways?

The only problem I can see with that idea is that a lot of the time, the first person voted off is decrepit.

Of course that might be interesting, watching a bunch of feebs competing.

The first ones for Palu are a confusing how do you count them
Johnathan Libby and Wanda shirk were never voted off
Jolanda Jones was offically the first one voted off.

As for Gutamala

Jim Lynch.

Basically Survivor could do this and have a all new cast feel to it. Plus it gets the bonuses of giving us something new and different.

With the Redemption theme going on I think it would be the perfect time for them to do a "loser bracket" kind of Survivor with the 1st ones voted off from every season. I did some checking and skipping the "all star seasons" they have 22 players that would be eligible for this and most are not weak players just very unlucky ones.

1 Sonja Christopher- very old more than likely not going to return
2 Debb Eaton
3 Diana Ogden
4 Peter Harkey- strong but weird a great example of a non weak returnee.
5 John Raymond- another example only got off on the wrong foot
6 Ryan Aiken- only out because the tribe leader hated him
7 Nicole Delma- only out because she played to hard and early
8 Brook Geraghty- out because of the old man alliance

Then there is Palu with its three vote outs.
9 Johnathan Libby- only out because of a weird you pick em at the start
10 Wanda Shirk- same as John L, probably an early out if she did get picked
11 Jolanda Jones- out because of personality conflicts with her tribe

12 Jim Lynch- old probably wouldn't return
13 Tina Schoer- out because she was anti social because of her son's death
14 Sekou Bunch - oldest of his small tribe out because of a female alliance
15 Jessica Oeben- young and was considered weak. maybe true
16 Steve Morris- old and didn't fit, maybe weak
17 Michele Chase- young and was considered weak
18 Carolina Eastwood- believe weak
19 Marisa Calihan- taken out by Russells fear of strong women.
20 Wendy Kohloff- taken out for social annoyance by her "older" tribe
21 Francesca Hogi- taken out by Robb because she wasn't in his alliance
22 Semhar Tadesse- taken out to prevent Ozzy from getting a strong alliance

So they are not a lot of weak undeserving player among the first ones, many could last 39 days and could have games as strong as the best. They are 14 women and 8 males so they would have to hope all the males would return for this game or use the returning player gimmick to balance out the genders(I would use the seasons that didn't have a first one return or the first ones voted out in All Stars Seasons, Tina Wesson, Sugar, and Johny Fairplay)

It could be like a all new season but with familiar faces.

I've been waiting for a "second chance" season, I'm surprised they haven't done it yet. Not just the first boots though, that's too limiting. I'd choose the cast from anyone who didn't make the jury.

With the number of players they have now they could do both a second chance and one specifically for the first ones out. With players like John Raymond and Peter Harkey I don't think the show would feel limited at all.
