Started and for a long time run by Ramona Juanita (http://forums.comicbookresources.com/member.php?u=61), the X-Poster of the Month competition is a friendly round of peer back-slapping. Ramona passed the buck to Mr.Smith sometime in 2001 when she had to pop off for a bit. Russ the job pass to juz (http://forums.comicbookresources.com/member.php?u=1494) who eventually let it pass to mattbib (http://forums.comicbookresources.com/member.php?u=342), and you'll find an X-Poster of the Month voting thread a couple of days before the end of each month.
Which X-Books forum poster, over the course of a calendar month, has been the best? Whether a knock-out single post, a string of good posts or just for injecting a healthy dose of verve into the daily X-Titles forum proceedings.
One poster. One vote. You register your opinion.
The winner typically gets the (not) very fabled X-Poster of the Month signature to be proudly worn during the following month.
After each year, after the X-Poster of the Month for December has been decided, an X-Poster of the Year vote is held. Those who have been voted X-Poster of the Month any time during the previous are included on the ballot. The winner gets a similar signature be worn during the following year.
An archive of previous X-Poster of the Month and Year winners can be found here (http://rds.yahoo.com/S=2766679/K=x-poster+of+the+month/v=2/SID=e/TID=H032_61/l=WS1/R=1/H=0/*-http://www.geocities.com/mattbib/xposter.html).

from www.uncannyxmen.net
After mourning [for Colossus], Beast too left Xavier’s school and met with Storm’s team to begin their quest with a visit to Valencia, Spain. They came into conflict with the country's own Guardia Civil and also a mysterious man known as Vargas, who killed Psylocke and seriously wounded Beast. Hank was only saved when Sage jumpstarted his latent healing abilities, which also foreshadowed a further mutation. Beast’s injuries forced him to return to the mansion, as Storm considered him a security risk for the rest of her team.
Not long after returning to Westchester, Beast experienced a regressive mutation that transformed him from ape-like to cat-like. His new body was much larger and possessed greater senses and predatory instincts. He needed some time to adjust to his altered state but, at the same time, began working with the new students at the Xavier Institute to help them fulfill their potential.

The Sublime Entity is a hive mind viral entity that lives in human DNA. The Sublime Entity was the first living thing to appear on Earth. As other life forms evolved, the Sublime Entity took refuge inside their DNA. The Sublime Entity would live inside the dominant species on Earth until a new species seemed poised to become dominant and would then jump to that species. The Sublime Entity could exert a level of control over its host species, and also helped the host species evolve.
The level of control the Entity can exert varies from individual to individual. The Entity has been known to possess certain individuals, but cannot seem to possess EVERY individual- or even too many individuals at once.
The Sublime Entity has been living in homo sapiens since the time of the Neanderthals. When Homo Superior began to appear and started to look like the next dominant species Sublime tried to jump to mutant DNA and found that mutants were “immune” to the Sublime Entity.
Sublime considered this and began taking steps to make sure that mutants would not become the dominant species. Sublime engineered situations and events to make sure that mutants would be in a constant state of struggle. The Entity reasoned that mutants would not be able to reproduce if they were caught in a seemingly endless cycle of conflict, death and rebirth.
The Sublime Entity also began exerting its power over its host species, inciting the creation of the Weapon Plus project. This project was intended to create a series of “super-sentinels” whose function was containing the mutant problem. Weapon Plus files revealed that Captain America was the first of these super-sentinels and was also considered the best integration of technology and material by the Sublime Entity. Wolverine is Weapon X, the first in the series to be controlled by a series of memory implants. Other super-sentinels include Fantomex, Ultimaton and the Stepford Cuckoos.
The discovery of the Extinction Gene in humanity and the “baby boom” of mutants caused Sublime to develop in other directions to maintain control. The two main thrusts of Sublime’s new strategy were John Sublime’s Third Species movement and Hypercortisone-D - the drug known as “Kick”.
John Sublime’s Third Species Movement attempted to graft mutant tissues to human hosts giving humans mutant abilities and giving the Sublime Entity access to hosts as powerful as mutants. John Sublime was successful for a while, but the X-Men eventually stopped the Third Species Movement and John Sublime fell to his death. (This is NOT the same John Sublime of Weapon X. It is still unknown if the John Sublime running Weapon X is an agent of the Sublime Entity).
Hypercortisone-D, called Kick, is a drug that enhances the abilities of mutants. It is also an aerosol form of concentrated Sublime particles. When a mutant inhales Kick the mutant gains greatly enhanced abilities. The mutant is also infected with the Sublime Entity. The Sublime Entity can, for a time, control a mutant who has inhaled Kick. Repeated inhalations are necessary for Sublime to maintain control.
Mutants under the influence of Kick gain increased power for short period of time, but they also run the risk of damage to their bodies and, perhaps, death. Jumbo Carnation died of a Kick overdose.
Kick was the Sublime Entity’s weapon of choice against the X-Men. It is unknown exactly how Kick first made its way to the Xavier Institute. What is known is that Barnell Bohusk, Beak, was dealing Kick and introduced Quentin Quire to it. Quire, a mutant with the ability to think five-dimensionally, decided to create an “Omega Gang” and take over the Institute. The Omega Gang was successful for a time, but the X-men defeated them.
The Sublime Entity had another ace in the hole, however. Esme of the Stepford Cuckoos introduced the X-Men ally Xorn to Kick. Xorn later claimed to be Magneto in disguise and went on a rampage in New York City, killing thousands of humans and, eventually, Jean Grey of the X-Men. The person calling himself Magneto was, however, an impostor. His identity is not known, but it seems fairly certain that the Sublime Entity was influencing his actions as he took more and more Kick.
The death of Jean Grey at the hands of the impostor created a rift in reality. After Jean’s death Scott Summers decided not to return to the Xavier Institute. This led Henry McCoy, the Beast, to take on the role of headmaster. While running the school, Henry was also trying to find a cure for the Extinction Gene in humanity. These tasks proved too much for McCoy and he started taking Kick to enhance his abilities and work harder.
Eventually Henry was completely possessed by the Sublime Entity. As humanity started to die from the Extinction Gene, the Sublime Entity began using McCoy’s genetic knowledge to create living mutant weapons trying to stop the spread of Homo Superior. Eventually Sublime decided to resurrect the Phoenix in order to meld itself with the Phoenix’s blood, and thereby achieve telekinetic godhood. The X-Men opposed sublime. Eventually the Phoenix removed Sublime and eliminated it and then decided to prevent that possible future from happening by changing Scott Summers’ mind and therefore changing the course of history. This changed the future where Sublime took control of the Beast, but did not eliminate Sublime from the current reality.
At this point the Sublime Entity has not made an attack on the X-Men in several months. It is unknown when the Entity will next appear.
It should also be noted that most information on the history of the Sublime Entity comes from the Entity itself and cannot be accepted as pure fact.

NOTE: Some of the below is purely based on speculation. If you can cite a reference that contradicts any of the below please PM me.
Weapon Plus is an undercover Canadian-U.S. government program that dates back to the 1940s and is intended to create living weapons with the purpose of exterminating mutants. Since its inception Weapon Plus has been run by John Sublime, the human representation of the sentient bacteria known as Sublime, and carried out various projects:
Weapon I
aka Project: Rebirth, responsible for creating the first Captain America. Prototypes include Protocide and the African-American soldiers (referred to by some as Weapon 0) who were subjected to experiments at Camp Cathcart. One of the first mutant experiments, designated Queen, was also created during this time.
Weapon II-III
Experimented on animals. No info revealed.
Weapons IV-V
Eexperimented on various ethnic minorities. No info revealed.
The Soviet Union created Electro II during this time.
Weapon VI
Experimented on humans to create durable agents and assassins. Successes included Bullet. Both Luke Cage and Warhawk III were initial prototypes conducted on as human guinea pigs.
The Soviet Union had a similar project called the Red Room, which created agents like Black Widow II, Iron Maiden and Osaku, as well as other projects conducted by the KGB that produced Red Guardians I-III and V-VII and Ghostmaker.
Weapon VII
aka Project: Homegrown, experimented on psychopathic humans and mutants, many of whom were implanted with skin grafts, brain implants and mentally-manipulated. Some known participants who died in Project: Homegrown include Andrew Perlmutter, Michael Labash, John Walsh, James MacPherson and 14 other unknown recruits. The only known successful subject was Nuke II, however the U.S. also employed the Power-Broker to produce another super-soldier, named G.I. Max.
England also had its own version, aka the Black Budget, which created Dauntless, Gog, Dreadnaught, Revenge, Victory, Invincible, Challenger III and some other unnamed super-soldiers.
The Mercy Corporation, a rogue off-shoot of S.H.I.E.L.D., also had its own super-soldiers, using a serum similar to previous derivatives of the Super-Soldier Serum. Their agents included Jack Reno, Keel, Kyle, Agent Villarosa, Agent Davis and Agent Milo.
Weapon VIII
aka Project Reptile, The Project, MK Ultra and MK Delta, used psychoactive drugs and memory implants/triggers to create assassins and agents. Some known agents include Typhoid Mary, Jack Hazzard, Frank Roberts, Agent Crock and Lee Harvey Oswald.
Weapon IX
A spin-off of Weapon VIII that replaced drugs and memory manipulation with cybernetics on humans and mutants. Other Projects made their first attempts to create super-soldiers equipped with robotic power armors and similar concepts. Some agents created through this included Cyber, John Garrett and Arthur Perry.
The Soviet Union had it's own success with the Crimson Dynamo and Titanium Man, while Canada developed the prototype for Weapon Alpha and Japan brought about Otomo.
Weapon X (I)
aka Weapon Chi and the Chi Protocol, this project specialized in mutant agents working for various governments.
The first team of mutant agents was developed by the Weapon X project through Canada's Department H by Prof. Thornton, Dr. Cornelius and John Sublime. Successes and failures include Wolverine (operative Weapon X I), Sabretooth, Maverick I, Kestrel, Mastodon and Silver Fox. The first team was also policed by an adaptive robot enforcer called Shiva. The team was also controlled through memory implants created by Psi-Borg II.
Omega Red, Proletariat and Epsilon Red are three other successful subjects from the former Soviet Union's own version of the Weapon X program. The Soviets also had Red Dawn: First Strike, which developed a covert team of super-humans to launch the first strike against the U.S. should the Cold War have become an actual war, but was never activated, until rediscovered in Marvel 2099 by the Alchemax Corporation. Red Dawn included Doktor October, Red Dawn, Hammer I, Sickle I, the Bear and Chernobyl.
A female creation, called Native, is also believed to have been developed simultaneously along the first batch of subjects during the first Weapon X Project. Also revealed is X-23, a clone of Wolverine who was designed to also hunt down rogue agents.
Weapon X (II)
The second team was designed a few years later, headed by Canada's Department K, but this time the focus was for lone agents, including Deadpool, Garrison Kane (operative Weapon X II), Slayback, Sluggo, Wildchild, Wyre, Copycat and Ajax. Failures were sent to a facility for dissection and study.
During the time of the second Weapon X Project, there was also an independent contract held by defense contractor Wright-Armstrong, which developed superhuman beings including Chrissie Cutler, Deadbird, Mrs. Gray, Intergalactic, Manny Josin, Manifest Destiny and Stealth.
A smaller experiment was later developed by Department K, merging a a New Zealand terrorist (operative Weapon X III) with a symbiotic bacteria colony.
Weapon XI
Closed down before creating a successful subject.
There was a separate project to develop super-soldiers by the M-Branch, called X-Force I, which involved the subjects being irradiated by gamma and cosmic rays. This team included Longshot II, Wolverine II, Havok II, Storm II, Rogue II, Dazzler III, Psylocke II, and Colossus IV.
Weapon XII
aka Huntsman, real name Zona Cluster 6, created at the England-based facility, The World; employed artificial evolution and nanosentinel technology. Huntsman was "accidentally" unleashed on the Channel Tunnel and fought members of the X-Corp before being eliminated by Fantomex with the aid of Jean Grey and Professor X, but at the cost of Darkstar's life.
Weapon XIII
aka Fantomex, real name Charlie Cluster 7, also created at The World; designed to be the Super-Sentinels’ stealth assassin; rebelled against his creators.
Weapon XIV
aka the Stepford Cuckoos; nothing regarding the quintuplets’ origin or ties to Weapon Plus have been revealed.
Weapon XV
aka Ultimaton, designed to be the Super-Sentinels' grand powerhouse; died when Wolverine destroyed the Weapon Plus space satellite that was designed as the Super-Sentinels headquarters.
Weapon X (III)
The third Weapon X team was formed by Director Malcolm Colcord, a former security guard at the first Weapon X installation, with the help of John Sublime. Unlike previous versions, this project was U.S.-based and had broken off from Weapon Plus. Known only to a few U.S. governmentt officials, Colcord first used this team as a method of revenge against Wolverine for disfiguring his face decades earlier, but eventually began capturing and imprisoning mutants at the secret concentration camp called Neverland. Mutants suitable to be used as weapons were given the choice to join Weapon X or die; all others were executed. Some agents were brainwashed or had physical deformities and mutations “fixed” to gain their obedience, while others had their powers increased or made more controllable.
The third team consisted of Agent Brent Jackson, Wildchild, Marrow, Sauron, Agent Zero (Maverick), Aurora, Mesmero, Washout, Jack-in-the-Box, Sabretooth, Madison Jeffries, Copycat, Deadpool, Reaper V, and Wildside. Mister Sinister was secretly posing as the head scientist at Neverland, Doctor Windsor.
During this time Sabretooth sold stolen secrets to high bidders around the world and other pojects similar to Weapon X emerged.
Weapon X (IV)
After some time, Agent Brent Jackson took over as Director during a mutiny by the team in conjunction with an attack by Cable's Mutant Underground. Washout and Kane died in the event, while Sabretooth was washed into the sewers after a battle with Marrow. Marrow escaped, eventually taking over the Mutant Underground and renaming it Gene Nation.
Director Brent Jackson's team consisted of Wildchild, Marrow, Sauron, Agent Zero, Mesmero, Jack-in-the-Box, and Chamber. Mister Sinister was still with the group as Doctor Windsor. This unit and facilities have since vanished, while Sinister has reappeared elsewhere.

Angel IV and Beak
Angel Salvatore and Barnell Bohusk (aka Beak) met as students in the “Special Class” at The Xavier Institute for Higher Learning and developed an intimate relationship. Several days later Angel laid numerous eggs that eventually hatched numerous children with combined fly and bird characteristics.
Banshee
Shaun Cassidy has a daughter, Theresa Rourke Cassidy (aka Siryn), through his late wife Maeve Rourke. Siryn has been a member of the X-Corporation and X-Force, as well as the improvised Muir Isle X-Men and Fallen Angels.
Cable
Tyler Dayspring (aka Mr. Tolliver, aka Genesis) was the son of Cable and his wife Aliya (aka Jenskot) in the Askani future. Tyler was driven insane by the machinations of his father’s clone, Stryfe. Tyler traveled to the present to spy on his father’s activities. Learning of the “death” of Apocalypse, Tyler set out to capture his power for himself. He then captured Wolverine, seeking to restore his adamantium skeleton with the metal taken from Cyber and brainwash him into being his first Horseman, Death. Wolverine rejected the adamantium and reverted to a feral state, then confronted and slew Genesis and most of his servants, the Dark Riders.
Note: Cable often referred to Tyler as "Jenskot's son". Speculation has run that Cable is not Tyler's real father, but possibly Stryfe is.
Colossus
Piotr Raspution has a son, Peter, through the SavageLand native, Nereel. Colossus is unaware that he is Peter’s father. His former teammate Longshot knows, but Nereel has sworn him to secrecy.
Cyclops & Goblyn Queen
Scott Summers has a son, Nathan (aka Cable), through his first wife, Madelyne Pryor (aka the Goblyn Queen). It was later revealed that Madelyne was a clone of Jean Grey (aka Phoenix IV) created by Mister Sinister. While Jean is not Cable’s true mother, she did spend a number of years raising young Nathan in the Askani future while she and Cyclops inhabited bodies of natives of that time.
Magneto
Magnus has three children through his late wife, Magda.
The first, Anya, was killed in a fire. Prevented by local villagers from saving her, Magnus’ powers manifested and he slaughtered them. Terrified of his new powers, Magda left Magnus, neither of them aware that she was again pregnant. She went into labor while wandering the woods and made her way to a strange fortress atop WundagoreMountain, home of the High Evolutionary and his half-animal New Men. Bova, a cow-woman, served as midwife and delivered the twins, named Pietro and Wanda (aka Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch). Fearing that her husband might track her down, she wrote a note asking Bova to find her children a good family, and then secretly left never to be seen again. The High Evolutionary and Bova arranged for a gypsy couple, Django and Marya Maximoff, to take the children as their own.
Despite earlier suspicions that were supposedly proven otherwise, it was recently proven through genetic testing that Lorna Dane (aka Polaris) is the daughter of Magneto. However, the circumstances of Lorna’s conception and birth have not been revealed. What is known is that Lorna’s mother and non-biological father were both killed in a plane crash, after which Lorna was adopted and raised by the Danes (her non-biological father’s sister and brother-in law).
Moira MacTaggart
Moira Kinross MacTaggart had a son, Kevin (aka Proteus) by her late ex-husband Joe MacTaggart. Kevin developed dangerous reality-warping powers and Moira was forced to lock him in a cell for the next ten years while searching for a cure. However, Kevin eventually escaped, but burned out his natural body, and subsequently stole numerous bodies, each new host burnout out more quickly, until ultimately he possessed the body of his own father, which he burned out through a massive outpouring of energy during a battle with the X-Men. Now a being of pure energy, Proteus was seemingly destroyed by Colossus.
However, years later, the mutant Erika Benson (aka Harness) was hired by the criminal organization A.I.M. to o have her young son Gilbert (aka Piecemeal) use his mutant power to absorb Proteus' dispersed energies from around the world. A.I.M. intended to transfer Proteus' energies from Piecemeal into human-shaped body casings created to contain them. However Piecemal was unable to contain such tremendous forces and his body exploded, resulting in the creation of a sentient energy being who was an amalgamation of Piecemeal and Proteus. The combined Proteus and Piecemeal sought to regain that sense of peace that Proteus had found after his energies were dispersed by transforming everyone and everything in the world into simple geometrical shapes and patterns. The New Mutants, New Warriors, X-Factor, and the Muir Isle X-Men tried in vain to stop the Proteus/Piecemeal creature. Finally, convinced that he could not find happiness in the world either by leaving it alone or by transforming it, the amalgamated being reversed its transformations and vanished. Whether the almagamated being committed suicide or departed for an unrevealed location remains to be seen.
Mystique
Raven Darkholme has given birth to two sons and has also raised a foster daughter..
The first was Graydon, fathered by Victor Creed (aka Sabretooth) during a time when Raven was posing as German spy Leni Zauber. Graydon grew up to hate mutants and founded the Friends of Humanity and was a member of the mutant-killing group called the Upstarts. Graydon eventually ran for President on an anti-mutant platform, but was assassinated on the eve of the elections. The assassin was actually his own mother, Mystique, though her mind was switched with that of a future self when she pulled the trigger, partly out of revenge for his having authorized the attack that left her late lover Destiny’s grandson, Trevor Chase, hospitalized. Creed's death brought about the swift mobilization of Operation: Zero Tolerance.
The second was Kurt Wagner (aka Nightcrawler). Mystique, in the guise of a German noblewoman, married Baron Christian Wagner. Mystique tried to give Wagner a child without success. Wagner introduced her to a the mysterious Azazel, ruler of a small island nation called La Isla des Demonas. Mystique was attracted to the mysterious stranger, who wooed her and was impressed by her true form. Azazel was a long-lived mutant who looked similar to a devil in his true form and sported teleportation powers. While Raven had fallen in love with Azazel, he was only interested in impregnating her. When she finally became pregnant, he told her to raise their child as Wagner’s and he left her. Learning of his wife’s pregnancy, Wagner was suspicious about the child’s parentage and demanded a paternity test, so Mystique killed him and buried the body. A few months later Mystique gave birth to a child. However, the baby was born visibly mutated, with blue fur all over, iridescent eyes and a prehensile tail. In fact, apart from the blue skin color inherited from his mother, the boy looked just like Azazel. Due to the shock and the strain of the boy’s difficult delivery, Mystique lost concentration and accidentally revealed her true form. Considered a demon, Mystique was chased away by an angry mob. Barely escaping, she tossed the baby down a ravine. The child was teleported away, apparently by Azazel, and given into Margali Szardos’ care.
More recently, Mystique and Destiny adopted Rogue while she was still a young girl. They acted as loving parents, comforting her fears and giving her a materially rich childhood. Rogue’s childhood seems to have been very happy until her powers manifested. They lived in a secluded house near Rogue’s birthplace, Caldecott County, Mississippi. Rogue eventually joined Mystique’s Brotherhood, but left after permanently stealing the powers of Carol Danvers (aka Ms. Marvel) to pursue help from the X-Men in controller her new powers and personality.

Professor X
Charles Xavier had a son, David (aka Legion), through his former lover Gabrielle Haller. Gabrielle had raised David her lover Daniel Shomron, who was David’s God-father as well as an old friend of Xavier’s. David’s mutant powers manifested at ten years old during a terrorist attack on his mother. David’s powers caused him to incinerate the minds of the attackers, but not without absorbing their psyches, though he was left in a catatonic state with the multiple personalities. One of these personalities, that of the terrorist that led the attack on Gabrielle years earlier, attempted to restore David’s mind to normal by combining the personalities. In doing so David appeared to go from a catatonic state to an autistic state, n which he began to manifest his psionic powers uncontrollably. Gabrielle sought assistance on Muir Isle from Moira MacTaggart, however once there he absorbed additional psyches. Xavier and the New Mutants flew to Muir and helped to restore David to normal, eliminating all but three other personalities and restoring the stolen psyches. David’s core personality, that of a ten-year-old boy, was now in control.
It’s not known exactly at which point the Shadow King possessed Legion. The cyborg Reavers attacked Muir Isle, during which Legion wavered between helping Moira’s makeshift X-men and allowing them to die. During this battle Legion tortured and killed Destiny, however it’s unclear whether this was the Shadow King’s idea or if Legion possibly became outraged after reading Destiny’s mind and learning of predictions of the damage he’d later inadvertently cause. The X-Men ultimately beat the Reavers and the Shadow King, but Legion was again left hospitalized in a catatonic state.
Months later he began to have visions of Destiny, who urged him to wake so that he could carry out his father’s work. When he awoke, his mind fully integrated at last, he demonstrated more power than ever, including the ability to time-travel. Legion traveled back in time and attempted to kill Magneto, so as to spare Xavier any opposition to his dream. However Xavier jumped in the way, saving Magneto but dying himself, bringing about the Age of Apocalypse. Legion, therefore never having been born, ceased to exist.
However the time-lost Bishop remained aware of the true reality during the Age of Apocalypse. With the help of the new reality’s version of the X-Men, Bishop traveled back in time and confronted Legion, using Legion's own power to create a psionic loop which forced him to see the damage he had caused by accidentally killing his father. The energy released in doing this was so intense that only one of them could survive, and thus Legion passed away. Since Bishop had thus prevented Legion from killing Xavier, the X-Men's normal timeline was safe.
After his death, the personalities Legion had absorbed years earlier ran rampant in Israel until Sabra and Excalibur convinced them to let go of this world. However, before Legion’s spirit could leave this plane he, along with that of Destiny, came to work in conjunction with Margali Szardos to prevent disasters in the earthly realm. Whether this is still the case, or if he has moved on, is unknown.
Quicksilver
Pietro Maximoff has a daughter, Luna, through his wife, the Inhuman called Crystal. Luna resides with her mother in the Inhuman city of Attilan on the blue area of the moon.
Scarlet Witch
Wanda Maximoff had twin boys, Thomas and William, through her then-husband, the synthezoid Vision. Wanda supercharged her own hex powers using the channeled magic of an entire town of witches and warlocks to make this possible.
However her children turned out to be non-living constructs that only existed when Wanda thought about them, whereas they vanished when she was too distracted during a battle or even knocked out. Although the boys’ various nannies had told the Witch about these disappearances, she was in denial and on the verge of a nervous break-down. Subconsciously, Wanda reached out with her reality altering powers to find someone to help her cope with the situation. Such help arrived in the form of Wanda’s mentor and friend, Agatha Harkness, miraculously resurrected, apparently by Wanda. However before the old witch could shed any light on the boys’ status, a horde of demons attacked and Master Pandemonium absorbed Thomas and William into himself. It turned out that Wanda did not create life when she instigated her pregnancy, she only stole it -- specifically two shards of the demon lord Mephisto's soul, which had been shattered and scattered months earlier. That revelation made, Mephisto himself appeared and reclaimed what belonged to him. The only way to drive him away was for Agatha Harkness to erase the twins’ existence from Wanda’s mind, thus affecting the parts of Mephisto that were still linked to her.
Ultimately Immortus revealed that he was behind the arrival and loss of her twins, among other recent events in her life, as a means to throw off the Time Keepers’ hold on him.
It has since been revealed that Tommy Shepherd and Billy Kaplan (the Young Avengers Speed and Wiccan) may have a possible relationship with the Scarlet Witch. Both the Vision's files and statements made by the Super-Skrull have led Billy to theorize that when the Scarlet Witch's sons souls were reabsorbed into Mephisto, they "destroyed" him and their souls were reincarnated as Tommy and Billy. It remains to be seen whether or not this theory is true.
Wolverine
Before being kidnapped and forced into the Weapon X program, James “Logan” Howlett fathered a son, Daken, during his first marriage with the Japanese Itsu. While in the last stages of her pregnancy, Itsu was murdered by the Winter Soldier, and it was believed that their son had died with her. In actuality, the baby, Daken, was secretly cut from his mother's womb and survived, inheriting his father's healing factor.
He later sired another son, Erista, with a Savage Land native in the Fall People tribe.
Additionally, Wolverine and the late Mariko Yashida have an adopted daughter, Amiko Kobayashi, who has spent much of her time in the care of their ally, Yuko. Recently, however, Amiko has become an apprentice of Mana Yanowa in the Shosei Order.
Wolverine also has a female clone, called X-23, created by a Weapon X re-creation program, who recently surfaced and joined the X-Men. X-23 has similar powers to Wolverine, however only has two claws in each arm.
In the possible future of the MC2 timeline, Wolverine has two children. He had his daughter, Rina Logan (aka Wild Thing), through his wife, the assassin Elektra Natchios. Wild Thing possesses formidable hand-to-hand combat skills, her father’s healing factor, and the ability to summon psychic claws. It hasn’t been revealed who the mother of Rina’s older half-brother Hudson (aka Saberclaw) is, however he also possesses similar powers to Wolverine, including superhuman strength and a healing factor, but with extendible bionic claws
In the possible future of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Wolverine’s great-great-granddaughter is the bloodthirsty mutant Rancor, who also possesses similar powers, including deadly claws and a healing factor.

House of M spins out of the “Disassembled” arc seen in Avengers #500-503 and the recent Excalibur (2004) series. In “Disassembled” Scarlet Witch goes insane and causes the deaths of Ant-Man, Hawkeye, and The Vision, and destroys AvengersMansion before being rendered catatonic by Doctor Strange. In Excalibur she is brought to Genosha by Magneto so that Charles Xavier can help treat her fragile mind. Fearing the possibility of Wanda causing further damage in the future, members of the Avengers and the X-Men meet to discuss how to handle the Wanda situation. One of the serious suggestions is to kill her. But hiding nearby listening to the heroes’ discussion is Quicksilver.
House of M is an 8-issue limited series in which the mentally unstable Scarlet Witch alters the Marvel Universe so that most all mutants have their greatest desires, with Magneto more or less the ruler of this world. In this world mutants are the majority, however there are human and mutate heroes, as well as human resistance groups across the world. The only people who remember the original reality are Wolverine, whose fractured mind has been healed allowing him to regain all of his lost memories, and a mystery mutant named Layla Miller, whose power is to “know things.” These two assemble a group of heroes to whom Layla reveals the truth. Believing Magneto is to blame, the group attacks Magneto and his followers. However in the final issues of the series it’s revealed that Quicksilver, not Magneto, was the one who pushed Wanda to alter existence. Wanda, in a moment of clarity, blames Pietro's actions on Magneto. She believes that if not for Magneto’s constant threats to humanity, or his near-enslavement of his own two children, she and Pietro would be living in a much happier world. Angry, Wanda whispers the words "No more mutants," causing many mutants to lose their mutation. This false reality is washed over in a flash of white light, and the world wakes up.

According to Doctor Strange, “It would seem only those who were there [in Genosha] at the event [Wanda restoring reality, minus most mutants]--those protected by Emma Frost's psychic defense and my spell-casting--remember the events as they transpired”.
So far, those who seem to remember are Cyclops, Emma Frost, Doctor Strange, Quicksilver, Wolverine, Scarlet Witch, Shadowcat, Nightcrawler, Luke Cage, Ms. Marvel, Spider-Man, and Magneto. Storm was present at the event but it has yet to be revealed if she remembers.

Decimation refers to the effects of M-Day: the day that most of the world’s mutants woke up without their powers, as caused by the Scarlet Witch. However, aside from a few individuals, most of the world is unaware of the Scarlet Witch’s role in M-Day. Testing by the world’s renowned scientists, including Reed Richards, Hank Pym, and Hank McCoy, has proven that these powers weren’t just turned off, but that the X-gene actually disappeared from those affected. While all affected mutants lost their powers, some actually have kept their physical mutations.

Following M-Day, the U.S. government's new Office of National Emergency estimated that 198 mutants remained on the planet. While that estimte proved to be slightly low, the term stuck. The 198 collectively refers to those who kept their mutant powers, after M-Day. There has yet to be any reasons given that explain why this small group kept their X-genes.

Memories
Up until recently, almost all of Wolverine's memories were forgotten (due to his healing factor repressing traumatic memories) or constructs (implanted by the Weapon X program). However, during the House of M storyline, in which the Scarlet Witch re-wrote reality essentially making mutants’ dreams come true, Wolverine found that he not only remembered the true reality, but he remembered all of his repressed memories as well as everything that had been replaced with Weapon X’s false implants. Wolverine’s memories remained even when the House of M facade ended.
Bones
Wolverine does have real bones. Even his claws are bone (a fact, thanks to his repressed memories, that he didn’t know until Magneto ripped the adamantium from his body in X-Men #25). However, his entire skeletal system has been interlaced with adamantium, making them virtually unbreakable. It turns out that the adamantium actually interrupted Wolverine’s mutation; his mutation would actually have made him continue to become more feral in nature, with unbearably heightened senses and uncontrollable instincts. Luckily for him Apocalypse happened along and again bonded Wolverine’s skeletal structure with adamantium when transforming him into his horseman, Death (Astonishing X-Men Vol.2 #1), a title from which Wolverine has obviously since recovered.

Gabriel Summers, codenamed Vulcan, is the third Summers brother. Additional details on the character's biography and powers can be found here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vulcan_(comics)).
However, Vulcan wasn't the originally planned third brother. In 1993 Fabian Nicieza wrote in X-Men #23 an exchange between Mister Sinister and Cyclops:Sinister: "...but I care enough to wish you and your brothers to be protected from this illness."
Cyclops: "Brothers?"
Sinister: "Excuse me?"
Cyclops: "You said brothers--plural."
Sinister: "I'm sorry, did I? I meant your brother, Alex."
This other brother was never said to be a "Summers". In 1998 Nicieza stated on racmx: "Adam X was intended to be the illegitimate offspring of D'Ken and Kate Summers. Taken from D'Ken and raised on a farming planet. But--and it's a big but--since I never had the opportunity to tell the entire story, what I intended is worth the screen it's printed on."
This was supported by storylines and hints in X-Force #29-30, Captain Marvel #3, and X-Men #39. These included Adam X being sired by D'Ken and a human woman, as well as Sinister's interest in the mutant.
However, with the publication of X-Men: Deadly Genesis in 2006, it's impossible for Adam X to be the son of Katherine Summers.

Who were the original X-Men?
The original X-Men were Cyclops, the Angel, the Beast, Iceman, and Marvel Girl.
Who was the first X-Man?
While Xavier did bring Scott Summers to his mansion first to become the first X-Man, it was revealed in the 1960s that he actually had already been helping Jean Grey cope with her telepathic powers. Thus, Jean was his first real mutant student, and, by extension, his first X-Man, even though Cyclops was the first of his mutant students to don a costume and call himself an X-Man.
Concurrently, Sage served as an early agent of Xavier's when she was recruited as a spy and planted with the Hellfire Club. However she did not become an X-Man until years later.

This thread is intended as a resource, to report on the last known sighting of X-characters (1130 at last count), what X-Team they’re on, and if they have any alterations to their physical well being (including depowering, power-changes, physical mutation, major injury, coma, death). The initial entries are based off of the following online sources: Uncanny X-Men.net, Marvel Unofficial Appendix, comicbookdb.com and Wikipedia. Past that, it’s up to everyone else to do further looking out. If their appearance doesn’t change their entry much, like if Beast appears as a consultant on a screen talking to one of the Avengers, or if Wolverine ends up in his sixth book of the month and beats up a guy in the bar, I appreciate the update, but there’s nothing necessarily there to merit a change of their first page entry. New mutant characters can be reported as they appear. Some exceptions to the rule may apply (relevant human supporting characters, or instances like Warlock or Deadpool). To keep this thread spoiler-free, entries can not be based off of previews, or solicits. Until the following Tuesday after the issue hits the stands, it will not be posted here to keep this thread SPOILER FREE. Keep your eyes open every week, everyone.
