this is the interview I had promised everyone. Pete Milligan is trully the best character writer in comics, and it shows through his answers here and his work!
enjoy

I really liked Gin-Jeanie. She would have been great on an X-team.

Great interview! Milligan doesn't really have the web presence of some of his contemporaries, so it's always nice to hear from him.

Best character writer?!? Have you read any of his X-Men run? His run is just one step up from Austens.

Actually I think his stuff is getting manhandled by attempting to do a straight Superhero story.
But he did give us the brilliant issue where everyone goes insane in the mansion and Emma attempts to give herself a facelift.

Great interview! Thanks Doc!
I think this mini will be great to see Milligan and Allred's stance on ressurections in comics. I personally would love to see them back.
Saint Anna was my favorite short-lived character of XF/XS. I hope we get to see her int he mini.

I think he is really getting into the characters' heads. The lockout issue especially was brilliant, and I love the way he is handling iceman and lorna in particular...

Great interview!
His run on X-Men has been pretty sub-par, but I still agree, he can be the best character writer in comics. In a good Peter Milligan comic, he can create a character - and have you believing not only that they are a real person, but a person who you can powerfully relate to - in about a page. I'm looking forward to reading some of his top-notch stuff again in Dead Girl. And hopefully X-Men will get with the program!

I wonder if we'll see the gosts of Teen Cypher and teen Magik making out in this? It'd be surreal at least.
But I figure this will be more of X-StatiX centered adventure.
As for the interview, at first it seemed sort of disjointed, until I realized it wasn't so much an interview about the DeadGirl mini as a X-StatiX/X-Force retrospective that happened to include some stuff on the mini.
Nice stuff.

well, Gwen and mockngbird are already making an appearance from the preview pages, and the villains include Mysterio, Kraven and Miss America! I'd day it's pretty rooted in the MU!
As for the interview, I'm glad everyone enjoyed! Mike had already answered a lot of stuff about the mini, and the Newsrama Milligan interview was completely based on the mini's plot, so I didn't want to retread that ground. Most of the questions are Dead girl based, about the mini, or about death in the marvel universe! :evilsmile
