Does he have a winter and summer coat?
Or does he need a clipping every now and then?

Damn you're intelligent!! Bravo.
And yes I would assume he'd molt on some level.

Beast hair cuts run into the thousands, but his room has blue shag carpet so the fur doesn't show.

The real question should be, does the carpet match the drapes? ;)

Do you think they have a onsite hairdresser all year round?
I mean all the X-men hair is always very nice and with Wolverine and Beast there, hair cuts are a must.

The carpet is connected to the drapes. It's a drapescarpet or carpetdrapes. The mystery of find Beast-hair, its origins are mysterious and kinda spooky.

I'm not sure, but Prof. X made all his money from hair gel. :)

The same kind of hair gel that we saw in the movie, "There's Something About Marry." ;)

The picture of the beast in x men 3 looks terrible. They should not have used that charater in the movie.

Beast does indeed shed. There was an issue of X-Men long time ago...when it was either shown or mentioned about Beast and the bathtub....it was the after-Onslaught breakfast issue, anyone remember that?
In the Avengers, Beast complained being interrupted in the middle of his shower because it must take him at least 1 hour to shampoo & 1 hour to blow-dry his hair...

So maybe Xavier make his moeny off general hair products. Shampoo being a top earner from Beast alone.

And what does that have to do with the issue of whether or not Beast sheds?

It must be hell on some kid's allergies to have him around.
It makes me wonder if the X-Men keep those lint rollers around to get the Beast hair off their clothes...

Oh god, poor Surge. With the amounts of static electricity surrounding her the X-men don't need lint rollers, but they can scrub her down every hour or so to remove 3 inches of shed Beast, Wolverine and Nightcrawler hair that just clings to her.

Hank doesn't shed that much, due to his daily fur care duties. They've shown him in Defenders brushing his fur heavily every morning to ensure he doesn't have embaressing shedding issues. :)

That really needs to be drawn up in a Bullpen Bits comic. :p

I have no idea.
I think you should write Marvel and ask. Maybe they'll put it on a Letters page. :)

If you do, write Astonishing. Those two idiots that write the uncanny column would just turn it into a comedy routine.
And yeah, I assume he does shed his fur occasionally(maybe there's a Shi'ar device in the mansion that keeps his dander out of the air ;) ).
