I want to see what is the best story ever produced by Marvel, so let me know your pick. I had a few that i liked including Infinity Gauntlet, Secret Wars ( the original one) and i really enjoyed Mutant Massacre but im afraid for the grand scale of the story, the enormity of it and the fact Marvel managed to make this perhaps the longest most enjoyable story i have to give my vote to The Phoenix Saga ( the first one not the countless thousands that followed)

I agree with you... for me the greatest stories are from my youth. I LOVED The Dark Phoenix Saga and Secret Wars which introduced me to Marvel characters outside the X-Men :-).

Of the newer stories (just started reading comics again) i really liked the Grant Morrison run on new X-Men, but a lot of people will probably smack my head for that one :-(

"Days of future past" , "The death of Jean DeWolfe" and "Hulk Future Imperfect" are a few of my favourites.

Strangely two of them involve seeing Wolverines skeleton!

"Best story ever?" No such beast as it's all subjective.

My favorite Marvel story is the Earth X Trillogy, but I can tell you it's not everyone's cup of tea.

It's impossible for me to narrow it down to one story. However, i'd consider Fantastic Four 1-100 some of the finest comics ever produced. Of that run, "The Coming of Galactus" in FF 48-50 stands out as the high point.

Some personal favourites include:
Avengers: Under Siege & the Kree-Skrull War
Spider-Man: The night Gwen Stacey Died, Kraven's Last Hunt & the Death of Jean Dewolf
X-Men: Dark Phoenix Saga and Days of Future Part.
Thor: The Origin of Galactus & Ragnarok
Iron Man: Demon in a Bottle & Armour Wars
Captain America: Baron Blood
Daredevil: Born Again, Roulette & the Elektra Saga
