Let say Marvel decide to have a earth shattering big event. DC style where everyone in the universe is effected(Kinda like Inifitity Gaunlet) where big changes are made( I mean really big changes) Now you are selected to write this big event. What are your major changes? Who dies and finally what is it about?

I think, if I do a "Marvel Crisis" it'll be something along the following lines (work with me here... I'm doing this off the top of my head)
Marvel: World Crisis
It starts off small, a riot in New Delhi, The New Avengers handle it. Super-Skrull attack on a small town in Iowa, the FF take care of the problem. Little outbursts of violence all over the world, except New York City. These outbursts slowly escelate in scale until the world is washed over by super-villains and earth's heroes are doing all the can to stop it. They have a problem though, their base of operation, where they all stem from, since the beggining was NYC, all the Quinjets, X-Planes and Spider-Mobiles are there or in the immediate area. Something has to be done.
The conclusion to the whole thing is a more widespread network of heroes. That has been one of the main problems of Marvel, everyone is in the same place. The Superhero population in NYC is higher than non-powered individuals in the city, its insane. So the result of "World Crisis" is the heroes spreading out, going all over, establishing new power bases, this could lead to all sorts of crazy stories, each hero having his or her or its own "turf" which could lead to a power struggle, gang wars, etc.

I like that spreading out scenario. It's been centralized in NY because when Marvel got it's start that's where the writers were, and Stan did a great job of making Spidey and the cast seem like they really lived there.
Today we've got writers all over the country working for Marvel (and out of it?) thanks to the communication networks being what they are. If a writer is living in and comfortable with Arizona, or Miami, etc let them write stories there.
There's talk of a new Avngers or Champions starting up in the West Coast somewhere, let's hope it's just a start. Chicago, Dallas, and the like all need heroes too (as you noted, the villains should have it pretty easy taking liberties outside of NYC, USA :) )

It'd have to involve an uber-powerful villain like Michael Korvac trying to recreate the universe in his image. The changes would be permanent, with a a few character's histories rebooted (Sin's Past is outta there, Jean Grey never died, etc.)

If it completely up to me, for purely selfish reasons, I'd do something along the same lines as you. I'd reboot left and right. I'd have the courage of my convictions and make Wanda's declaration true. How to do all this? I dunno. I'd bring her back, but I'd have someone else (maybe Korvac) try to recreate the Marvel Universe w/no heroes, and she steps in w/ a last minute hex, and gives the MU the heroes that immediately pop into her mind (or something like that). Here's what I'd reboot:
Spider-Man: still in school and not married; Gwen Stacy is still alive; Aunt May never died; there was never a clone
FF: Doom's still alive, Ben's dating Alicia; Franklin is the Richards' only child
X-Men: the team's status after Giant-Sized X-Men #1; Jean Grey never dies or turns into Phoenix
Daredevil: Elektra stays dead
Captain America: no Bucky and no U.S. Agent
Thor: alive/no Ragnarok
Avengers: Thor, Cap, Iron Man, Wanda, Vision (w/no kids), Hawkeye, Wasp, and Giant Man/Goliath
Would this escalate sales? I doubt it. But, hey, if it's my universe....

More like a basic premise of Twilight of the Superheroes (an Alan Moore proposal that got nixed).
As for major changes, first is no rebooting of any kind.
Spider-Man: In a miraculous turn of events, MJ suddenly got pregnant again out of nowhere. Sins Past never happened.
FF: Reed will have to assume of the role of the Monitor. Thing gets his own sitcom.
Avengers: Ronin and Wolverine are out of the team. Some old and new characters will join. Quicksilver will die a la Barry Allen. Scarlet Witch will return after she was attacked by a psychotic magical being (think the Spectre, but more powerful). Dr. Strange will be powerless.
Captain America: In a surprising twist, Cap is viewed as a villain while at the same time, he plans to run as a congressman.
Hulk: Has putting the Hulk in an asylum done before? If doesn't work, a new personality will emerge, making his condition worse.
X-Men: After internal problems that caused the team to split, Jean Grey is left to pick up the pieces as she forms a new X-Men. Unfortunately, the public doesn't view her very well after what she did. Rachel Grey will lose her powers but gain new ones. Cyclops is arrested and is in SHIELD custody. Storm is pregnant and carrying Black Panther's baby. Xavier returns with no memories of his own, leading more secrets.
Daredevil: After his identity is exposed to the public, Matt Murdock is in hiding for one year with the help of Elektra. Then, he comes back to kill Kingpin.
Young Avengers: Will gain new members.
SHIELD: Will be likely be revoked by the government after finding out its illegal activities.

I agree about the no-reboot thing. There's been too many as it is (I mean geez, we JUST finished House of M!!), and there's so much story potential left with the MU in it's current state.
My senario turns Adam Warlock into a villian and brings back Dr. Doom and Asgard.
Unusual and unstable extra-dimentional energy signatures are picked up around the globe by Dr. Strange, and throughout the universe by Quasar.
In the land of the dead, Dr. Doom has also detected these instabilities, and prepares a spell and/or technology to use them as a portal to return to the land of the living. He needs an "empty" being to jump his consciousness into.
The Galactus Power (severed from it's first host, Galen, in the Fantastic Four "Rising Storm" arc) finally settles on a new host, one that can handle it's power - Adam Warlock. At first thinking he can use the additional power responsibly, he contacts Reed Richards. However, the Hunger quickly takes hold. And having been inactive for so long, he is VERY hungry. Adam/Galactus begins cutting a swath of destruction through the Universe.
Reed, with the help of the Silver Surfer, Quasar, a reformed Thanos, and Pip the Troll track down the self exiled Galen (FF "Rising Storm" again) to help with the destruction of the Galactus Power. Unfortunately, the absence of the Galactus Power has left Galen largely "empty", like a baloon that has been deflated, and after Galen is freed from his exile, it slowly becomes apparent that Galen is actually.... Dr. Doom.
Up until now, it has been thought that the energy instabilities were caused be the return of the Galactus Power. It is discovered that, actually, the Norse Ragnarok (Thor "Disassembled" arc) set in motion a chain reaction that will ultimately tear the universe apart.
That's the set up - can the heroes deal with a crazed Galactus, the plotting Dr. Doom, AND find Thor before everything goes kabloo-ey??
Stay Tuned, True Believers!!

Enchantress, Morgan Le Fey and Lilith join forces.
They kill Dr.Strange, Clea, and Daimon Hellstorm
They find a way to imprison Chthon, Dormammu,Surtur,Mephisto
They start reshaping the world...
Fun ensues.
The main heroes going against them: Thor, Spider-Woman (Drew), Ghost Rider.
With assist from every other hero on the planet, The Avengers, FF, Defenders, Power Pack, Runaways, etc, etc

Did I mention that I like cosmic events?
Been thinking some more - Since the Galactus Power is a primal cosmic force, the only way for it to be contained or dispersed is for Reed to re-assemble and use the Infinity Gauntlet.
The last issue of the series could feature a throw-down where the Silver Surfer, Beta Ray Bill, and Thor attempt to hold Galactus off from Earth while Reed and Doom fight for possession of the Gauntlet.
That would rock. :D
Dark Soul # 7

It all starts in another dimension, the dark dimension to be precise. Lord Dormmamu is sitting in his throneroom and is thinking up another way to take over the universe, or whatever it is that he does during his spare time, and Umar is seemingly just humoring her brother by listening to his rants.
Suddenly a large noise is heard outside his fortress. Hundreds of thousands of demons are swarming through portals that are opening up all over his home. The demons are using some kind of mystic weapons that are used to overwhelm Dormmamuīs forces. Then a huge portal opens up among the others and more demons are coming out of it with Blackheart leading them.
Dormmamu curses as he starts going of to form a counter against this army. But alas he is betrayed by his "dear" sister who stabs him in the neck with a crystal that is draining him of his might. When he asks why yet another portal, this one the size of a normal human, opens up before him and a new arrival steps out of it saying "Because she prefereīs beingīs of great power and competence over a deludded fool like yourself".
Dormmamu is to weak to recgonise this new power by sight alone. But he knows the voice and he is awe-struck before a clawed hand grabs ahold of him and he faints.
Next Adam Warlock is resting above a peacefull planet without any war or polution just enjoying the view when he is attacked by a huge demon brute. He does his best and is managing to keep it at bay with his own power and the soulgem. Unfourtunatley for him more brutes appear with every moment. He is soon defeated and the soulgem is ripped away from him. The demons leave him for dead. (Note: If Adam is still taking care of that little girl that anchors reality then the attack happends there and both he and Gamora a beaten.)
A few days later on Earth all the planets mystics are summoned to Dr.Strangeīs house. They have a meeting for theyīve felt something horribly wrong going on in the world of magic but have been unable to pinpoint what it is. However they donīt know that somebody is observing them and as the meeting starts the entire house, and everybody in it, is transported to an unknown dimension.
The very next day the Fantastic Four are attacked by demons. They fight at the best of their ability and seem to e winning when Blackheart shows up and things only go downhill from there. Neither Thingīs strength, Torchīs flames, Invisible Womanīs forcefields or Mr.Fantasticīs machineīs do anything effective against the demon. Then as the situation looks hopeless the Avengers show up to help their friends. Sentry takes on Blackheart and the rest of the team beats back the other demons. BH and Sentry fight evenly and in the middle of it all Blackheart reveals that it was all a ruse to trick get both teams to the same place and then he tells the demons to grab what they came for. Some lesser demons grabbs Mr.fantastic and teleports away with him, but heīs not the only one. From a room in the back the heros hear the scream of a boy, Franklin has suffered the same fate as his father. All the demons disappere except for ten small ones who all go up in huge explosions.
In hell Reed and Franklin are brought before the mysterious new hell lord, who is dressed in a dark cape with hood and Franklin is nothing if not scared and Reed tries to reasure him.
Reed: Donīt worry Franklin. I promise weīll get out of here.
???: I wouldnīt make such a promise at this moment. Since you will have no way of holding it.
Reed: Who ever you are you should know that Earthīs heros have bested beings like you before. Even Mephisto have failed with his plots against us You wonīt be any different.
???: Ah yes, Mephistopheles. What happend to him is quite the tale. Not one for children however. Guards, take young Franklin here to the room that has been specially equiped for him.
Reed watches in horror as Franklin is pulled away into another room, he tries to strech out but is restrained. He then looks up at the creature infront of him.
Reed: If you hurt him, I swear by god...
???: God has absolutely nothing to do with anything in this I assure you that. But donīt worry. Your son will survive the ordeal we will put him through. It will not be painless but he will live.
Reed: Why are you doing this? Who are you?
???: As I said itīs quite the tale. You see. Thereīre many roads in the realm of death and one of them lead to here. This dimension is quite magnificent but it was always like this. When I came here it was nothing but a bare wasteland. The conditions around me made a struggle to take the smallest of steps. But I prevailed and I found a source that gave me knowledge. Knowledge on how to reach other dimensions like this one, only more alive. If you could call them that. When I found one that I had a rather personal disagreement with. And then with my already supperior mind and newfound knowledge a plan began to form. *he chuckles a little* Richards you arogant fool! Did you really think that even true death could stop ME!
Reed: No, is it really..
???(like you havenīt already guessed it): Mephistopheles was never any of those weak incarnations that have been defeated by the likes of you "heros". In reality he was a much more impressive being that was using avatars. But he still never noticed me until after I forced him into a battle of the wills. And compared to a certain omnipotent being I bested some years ago it was a simple task of stripping him of his might and claiming it as my own. I cast him down to a dugeon and insolated him completely for all others. Now I have added his dimension to this one. Then i formed alliances with his son and the unrelentless Umar and stole Dormmamuīs dimension and killed the hapless fool.
Reed: But why would you do this?
???: Because only I am fit to rule the world. And this way I have the power to do it step by step. Also I rather like calling myself Victor von Doom lord of hell!*as he says this he pulls down his hood and reveals a demonic version of his old face*
Reed: But why kidnapp Franklin? I know you have a personal grudge against me but Franklin is an innocent child. He doesnīt even have any powers left.
VvDLoH: Actually they are still within him. Only dormant. I awaken them.
Reed: How will you use them. He wonīt donīt it...
VvDLoH: Before you start counting the many versions I could utilise your sonīs powers you should know that Mephistopheles had an unfunctioning cosmic cube lying around. I think that Franklinīs powers would fit perfectly inside it. But now Iīve growed bored with entertaining you about my rise to this position.
Reed: So what will you do, kill me?
VvDLoH: Actually I had something much more intresting planned for you. Thereīs one more thing that I left out of the story. I had mt more powerfull demons steal this. *he pulls out the soul gem* It is trying to take over but I have it under controll. Now any last words Richards?
Reed: You wonīt win Victor! The others will stop you and...*Doom sucks Reedīs soul into the gem*
VvDLoH: And now it begins for real.
Thatīs as far as Iīve gotten in any crisis idea Iīve ever had. Lets see if I can go anywhere with this later on.

I believe HoM was supposed to be Marvel's equivalent to DC's Infinite Crisis.HoM was nowhere near the size of IC, at least it feels like that for me.
I think that Marvel will show of their great crisis next year and that HoM was just the start of it.

I've had a "Big Crossover Story" idea for awhile, and interestingly, HoM seems to have lead into a perfect setup for it. The premise in one sentence is: The Days of Future Past scenario starts to come true.
The government Sentinel program is reactivated. The new highly advanced Sentinels hunt mutants mercilessly. They quickly reach the conclusion that the best way to protect humans is by hunting down all superhumans. The government tries to shut them down, but it's too late. The Sentinels are too poewrful, and have gained autonomy. They take control.
Superheroes and their sympathizers are locked away in internment camps. Many are executed. A core group of survivors forms, made up of parts of the FF, Avengers, the X-Men, Spidey and some other unaffiliated heroes and villains. This group becomes known as the Refugees. They literally live on the run, constantly in hiding, trying to find a way to stop the Sentinels.
Characters that die will really, truly die, but their deaths will be for good reason, not just a "we kill three more in this issue!!!" thing. For example, I want to kill of Captain America. I'm envisioning a scene in which he has to hold off a Sentinel so other heroes can escape with important information to help a large group of survivors. He convinces them that he'll be fine, his shield can hold off the Sentinel, but he knows it's a lie. Then he willingly takes on this Sentinel, absorbing massive energy blasts with his shield, pushing himself beyond his limits to slow it down, and finally succumbing to the brutal attack.
In time, there would be a new Captain America, but no one would ever forget Steve Rogers' heroic sacrifice.
Of course, it isn't all just a setup for a tragic death scene, I have lot of other ideas, but that's the heart and soul of it, right there.

The end of time. The Enternity is dying as it natual boundries are broken Death, Time, and reality. To respond to his illness, he creates Anitbodies to fight the damage. The people that have broken the boundries.(Wonder Man, Hellcat, Grim Reaper for death) (Cable, Kang, Bishop, Rachel Grey for time) and (Franklin Richards, Legion and Scarlet Witch for reality)
The battle insues with each team battling the antibodies to save there own. Until the Watcher shows up and inform them that the universe is dying. Now what do the hero choose? To save their friends or let the universe die!

I would probably piss off a majority of Marvel's fans by doing two no-no's:
1) Having the Ultimate universe crossover with the 616 Marvel universe
2) Having the 616 Marvel universe not survive in its current form.
I would basically rip off the original DC Crisis and merge some of the characters together, making some of the more iconic heroes like Spider-Man and Captain America a lot fresher, without tons of continuity baggage. However, I would leave the two universes separate afterwards and make them into two (or more) distinct worlds, so that there are still a ton of storytelling opportunities. The Ultimate universe would escape relatively unscathed, but the 616 would be changed in a much larger way. That would leave it open for more opportunities to cross over in the future.
While I'm not a fan of the Ultimate universe crossing with the 616 if it's a money grab, I could see it working if done well.

O.k... It's called "DePowered"
Some 60 years ago, young Steven Rogers heads to his local Army Recruiting Office, to enlist in his countrie's aid, for reasons unexplained, the recruiter enlists Steven, but does not send him to the forefronts, but instead, to work at the homefront in a "Job that relies on the brain more than brawn". Steven never does step up to take the mantle of Captain America, in truth no one manages to survive overlong exposure to the Super Soldier formula.
Anthony Stark just can't his company off the ground. It seems that every contract he nearly manages to close is snatched by some other firm or corporation. After merely several months he gets into many debts, declares bankrupcy, and finds a low-wage job at some unknown small business. The Iron Man armor never even registers as idea in Tony's mind.
Reed Richard's flight to space was canceled due to beauractic problems.
Peter Parker was never admitted into the science exhibition he attended, the exhibition being changed to an "invitation only" event.
Matt Murdock didn't pass his bar exam. He was caught cheating, he claimed he did no such thing, but it didn't help.
The world's mutant population has been diminished to nearly nothing, due to the events of House of M.
The world's heroes are few in numbers.
It was an ingenious plan. Or so Kang thought. Following the world's most powerful heroes backwards through time, until the moment of their creation. Then it was merely a matter of careful planning, a shifting of events here, pulling some strings there, and none of the heroes ever came to be. Ingenious. The world was his for the picking, he could take it all and no one would stand before him.
Destiny it seemed does not like to be cheated. You see, it was the spider that chose Peter. Just like it was the inherent sense of justice that motivates Matt. And Steve's sense of patriotism can not be put down mereley by being assigned a desk job. Tony's ingeniuty, Reed's curiousity, these are not trivial things.
So the power explodes. Over-night, super-powered individuals pop-up all over the globe. It is an unexpalined phenomena. The experts use terms such as Burst-Mutation, Cosmic Storm Anomalies, and Radiation Greenhouse effects. Whatever the cause it is unexplained.
But these are not the heroes we all know, these are untrained heroes, they do not have years of experience, decades of working together. They are new, most untrained, can these fresh starts defeat Overlord Kang? Or will the King of Time's plan prove to be successful?
Only time will tell....

Marvel doesn't do big crossover events like DC. They're better than that. They don't want their fans having to spend loads of money...

ASCENSION
The premise is simple, yet one of massive proportions: The Celestials return. This time it's the Fifth Host, the final one that determines whether Earth lives or dies. As the Fifth Host stands in North America, the four Hosts that have visited the planet previously also arrive in various spots around Earth to hear the judgment.
As the world watches in horror and fear, Apocalypse decides that now is the time to show The Celestials that mutants have emerged as the dominant species. With a massive army that includes his Horsemen (Holocaust, Exodus, an Arabic version of Death and Omega Red), En Sabah Nur overtakes parts of Europe and Africa. The most spectacular collaspe was of Wakanda, with The Black Panther and Storm retreating to the United States.
There, Apocalypse sets his sights on The Eternals, the genetic creation of The Celestials. Exodus slaughters The Black Knight and Sersi in battle and Apocalyspe's forces capture the few remaining Eternals, such as Ikaris and Ajak. Now, The Avengers past and present join forces with The X-Men to put an end to Apocalypse in a war.
The Fantastic Four and Quasar retreat to the Blue Area of the Moon, to search for The Watcher. However, Uatu is gone ... and in his place is The Stranger. The Stranger reveals the untold origin of The Celestials -- they are Watchers who have evolved beyond their primary purpose. The Stranger feels that Uatu has left to become a Celestial!
Meanwhile, Thanos -- an Eternal Titan -- appears to Captain America, whoe team is losing the battle vs. Apocalypse's forces. "How would you like ultimate victory?" Cap, quite obviously wary, agrees to go with the Mad Titan to meet The In-Betweener. The In-Betweener discusses the importance of Earth in the Marvel Universe, and he states that a victory by Apocalypse could end life on the planet.
The In-Betweener speaks of one who has been forgotten, one whose return Earth to glory. A massive explosion erupts from the cosmic entity, which crashes in the middle of the field as Apocalypse is about to kill Cyclops. From the blast emerges Thor!
In the end, the Celestials decide to destroy the planet (of course, Arishem gives the thumbs-down sign). However, they will back off, provided one of Earth's inhabitants becomes a Celestial -- Franklin Richards. Reed and Susan Richards, weighing the gravity of the situation, watch their son's mutant powers are activated and he joins Uatu as the newest Celestials. Before he leaves the planet, Franklin uses his awesome powers and a flash erupts. In the end, we find out:
* The Sentry was the imagination of Reed Richards' favorite fictional character brought to life, and summarily removed from reality;
* Numerous heroes died trying to stop Apocalypse's forces, including Rogue, Gambit, Kitty Pryde, Colossus, Triathlon and Rage;
* Nightcrawler really is the son of Mystique and the demon Belasco;
* Wakanda is overrun with Apocalypse's forces and The Black Panther and Storm are rebel fighters in T'Challa's native country;
* Thor returns from the dead, but has memory lapses of his final days and is visibly shaken over the deaths of his fellow Asgardians.
* Namor, The Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver have formed a new Brotherhood with a repowered Magneto.
And now, a new Marvel Universe is born ...

Well, first let me say would I would NOT do:
Giant, cosmic-type events with planets crashing. This is the MARVEL universe, after all. With all respect due to Jim Starlin and Mark Gruenwald, the Marvel Universe works because it is streetwise and the heroics are leveled off to villains with plans a little more specific than just "rule the world" type stuff.
It would not involve the X-Books in a major way. This is exactly what everybody is tired of.
What would the series establish?
A restoration of the Vision and Scarlet Witch's children. Their deaths were cruel and a vicious act by Byrne, who rather unprofessionally has a profound hatred for the Vision, removing his humanity for no good reason. Ditto for a restoration of the Scarlet Witch/Vision marriage. Kurt Busiek did wonderful stuff with a Vision/Wanda/Simon love triangle, but it's high time we restored the most beautiful love story of the entire Silver Age.
A restoration of the Kree and Skrull Empires. Haven't both their main planets been blown up by now? These old school Marvel bad guys need to get back in the game.
Also...wouldn't it be interesting to encounter a Skrull Eternal? We've got Kree Eternals. So why not?
And speaking of...
Shifting the Eternals off to their own universe. This one is potentially the most problematic as it is a retroactive erase, but as much as I love the Eternals, they aren't a perfect fit with the Marvel Universe; Kirby's concepts were too big. Placed in the Marvel Universe with the REAL Olympian and Norse gods, the Eternals just become pretenders mistaken for the throne. Gilgamesh becomes just another strong guy in the Avengers roster instead of being the legendary FORGOTTEN ONE! Kurt Busiek once said that "Eternals had mutants go from a straightforward concept to being a murky afterthought."
Leading the way to a new POWER PACK regular series. Because they deserve it.
Turn U.S. Agent into a villain. His nationalism is so vicious that it's just not possible to accept him as a heroic character.
Have Sandman go back to the side of good. His redemption was a profound one in the great Marvel tradition of having characters change over time. His return to evil however, was a poor choice.
Have Hank Pym and the Wasp remarry.
Who would I kill off?
1) Cable
2) Wolverine (God, does this one ever speak for itself)
3) Apocalypse
4) The Young Avengers. And have them die in such a way that suddenly the concept of having a cheesy, opportunistic Teen Titans rip-off - errrr, I mean a group of young teenage superheroes, is suddenly rendered impossible for the Marvel Universe in the future.
5) The Runaways. ESPECIALLY that kid that is Ultron's robot "son." Words fail me. Roy Thomas is spinning in his grave - YES, I know he's not dead yet! That's how bad an idea it is.

It makes good backstory for those two series, but I don't think it'd be all that great an idea to actually stage it in the modern MU.
Big alien invasions . . . been there, done that, bought the trade.
