I was wondering if anybody could tell em where This Batman title fits in with the rest of the DCU. If there is any real continuity to it.

I am new to DC and I wanted to get aquainted with their original universe instead of getting only the All Star titles.

And I am just asking if this is a good book or if i should just read the regular Batman book

Gotham Knights is pretty much universally considered the worst of the Bat books. Stick with the regular Batman title. Gotham Knights is ending soon anyway.

Gotham Knights is pretty terrible.

Get plain old Batman. It's the best one.

GK (as well as the rest of the books) currently have their own internal continuity with no relation to the other titles. It doesn't seem to be connected to the rest of DCU right now as well.

And it is just freaking horrible. Lieberman, I don't know if he has written Batman prior to this but he is making Hush look like Deathstroke in prep ability and manipulation.

Of course, if you like Batman being a complete and utter moron and being a victim of Hush's monsterous jobber aura, then you might like this book.

But I don't. I like my Batman at least competent.

Thank God it is being cancelled.

Since "City of Crime" is over you might wanna take a look at Detective next month if you don't already.

City of Crime ended well and I am looking forward to next arc.

My ONLY reason for sticking around to see if Hush gets crippled in #74 (the last issue). :D

That's literally it.

Currently it is probably the worst of all the batbooks.
But I do think that the first twenty something issues of this series is pretty decent and add more of a human aspect to the batman and the batfamily. It kind of nice reading about a version of Batman that isn't completely perfect and actually seems to care about the people who are/were around him, instead of just treating them like chess pieces. Some of the strongest writing parts of Bruce Wayne: Murder story arc, comes from this series. This is also the series that finally got Bruce to adopt Dick as his son.

My advice, check out issues #1-the end of Bruce Wayne: Murderer story arc. This series made me look at Oracle in a new light. I admire her drive even more.

If this doesn't appeal to you at least check out the Hugo Strange story arc 8-11 and issues 16-17 and 20 to 21, to find out how Dick's adoption came to be. Those last four issues show a very caring aspect of Dick and Bruce's relationship.

Avoid completely if you like loner bat.
