...on and he says whether or not he likes the piccies!!!
[quote]Earlier today, Diamond Comics' retailer website saw a bit more traffic and interest with the inclusion of two simple words: Stephen King. The acclaimed novelist, whose "Dark Tower" comic book series will be hitting shelves in 2007 (as discussed earlier on CBR). There have been some controvery and discussion over King's true involvement with the project, as reported by Rich Johnston, and the news from Diamond seems to shed some light.
"King is the Executive Editor and Creative Director of Marvel's much-awaited Dark Tower comic book series and graphic fiction collections," said Diamond's press release. "King is directly involved in the creative aspects of this project, supervising all editorial and visual content. Robin Furth, author of Stephen King's 'The Dark Tower: A Concordance,' is outlining the 'Dark Tower' comic book series, providing scene-by-scene plotting, and maintaining the continuity and consistency of each story arc."
While the above implies heavy editorial involvement, many have taken note of the curious absence of King's credit as "writer" or even "scripter," as he is merely mentioned as being involved in editorial capacities. Marvel Comics has made no comment since the press release, but stay tuned to CBR News for more on this developing story.[quote]
ok, so he is not writing it , fair enough, i presume he is a very busy man, but then why have marvel listed him in as creative editor or what ever it is....simple answer money and publicity!
ok, i know how the world works but surely they could do better than editor!
i will not be buying this comic, who will and what do you think of it?
