That is just a great commercial. No idea why it was banned.

Because the PTA would be all over this like white on rice.
"No, no! We can't allow imaginary gunplay and violence!"

My guess is that they're afraid real people will play fake guns at a train or bus station and get killed by a cop.

Then people are far stupider than I give them credit for.

Well. There goes the human race.

That was one of the greatest things ever. Stupd stupid people being stupid, keeping that off my TV.
I was actually talking to a friend today saying how I didn't like the 360 commercials. This one is excellent though I wish it wasn't banned.
What? Water balloons and teddy bear picnics not cool enough for you? :p

It has happened.

It has happened.
Well, yeah, but usually to people with realistic-looking guns, not people with their fingers pointed at each other.

I'd be very embarrassed for the cop who shot a kid for pointing his finger at him.

A bit too close to bone for some people, like with people getting searched and all that.
I just thought it was a shit advert.

No doubt. Particularly in such a setting - What happens in the commercial is something that I'd like to see a flash mob (does anyone still do that?) do.

Good ad, they did something similar on a smaller scale in an episode of Spaced.

There was an X-Box advert with a lass popping out a baby, it flying through the air and aging, then crashing into a grave, with the tagline "Life's too short - play more". Genius ad, won advertisement of the year, a handful of idiot dufuses complained and it got banned.

...a handful of idiot dufuses...
[Ozymandias voice] Hmmm... would they be "dufi"? [/Ozymandias voice]
