If Alan Moore actually shows up...
... does anyone think a "Jack Kirby!! Appear!!!" thread would work?

I wouldn’t hold your breath on Mr. Moore.
You ever feel like this is all going to end badly? Like those shows where a bunch of kids summon some vodoo spirit for fun.... and then it eats their brains, spills their guts on the floor and makes their pizza go cold.

With some luck, Yo, with some luck. Plus we all wanna see the big snake!
But your caution reminds me of another bearded creepy fellow from across the pond...

As much as I gush over Kurt B's and Gail's work, if Alan Moore as much acknowledged me I think I'd pee my pants in happiness.
And it takes a LOT to make me pee my pants.... beyond like, you know, drinking water and stuff.

In fact, I think you've got a slightly higher chance of calling Jack Kirby. But that's just me.

Yeah.
Alan Moore doesn't use the internet. Neither does Ray Bradbury if you're thinking of calling him.
Jack Kirby's ghost, meanwhile, would probably be surfing the internet and basing a comic book around it. I can see it now. A highway in ideaspace. Humans that turn into trolls. False identities. Some government types. A Microsoft parody. A clairvoyant named Google or something. A Blog creature made of pent up desires and repressed emotions.

You know whats scary...your nearly on target to what a stupied 1995 Weekly World News ( the zany tabliod where Jesus is back and Elvis abducted by UFO's) article had.
In it this young kid was profiled and he amazing became a great artist. His mother in this claimed that a ghost was teaching her son how to draw. The son drew his picture and it was Jack Kirby!
I didn't know whethor to be shocked or sad by this. I mean...Jack Kirby I'm sure would have found it pretty humerous. He spent his life weaving tales of fantasy. And there not less than a year after his death and they have this fantasy article.
Wonder if anyone else ever saw this.

I think Kirby would have appreciated it.
We're talking about a guy who saw life from many perspectives, was pretty nice to the neighborhood kids, was into fantasy and mythology both in his life and in his art.
This is a guy who met the Beatles. This is a guy who, in addition to comics, had a lifelong hobby/art/effort to try to paint what the face of God would look like.
I think he'd be fine with rumors of his ghost teaching children to draw and if he came back as a ghost, that sounds like something up his alley.

I don't think a little girl in a penguin suit is going to make Alan Moore appear.
We need something manlier. I think I got it.
ALAN MOORE!

I think the summoning of Alan Moore can only end in tears, as he is a more accomplished magus than most of us and probably has friends in Hell who owe him a favor or two.

Pfeh! Grant Morrison can enchant ringed sigils around Moore. Moore's been practicing a few years; Morrison's been practicing his whole life!
