Ron, I was organizing my comics and found an old preview of Dragon Prince. I was just wondering if you, or anyone reading this, can give me an update on the project. You are one of my favorite writers and Jeff Johnson one of my favorite artists which is why I would really like an update.

Lester,

Thanks for asking. The project unfortunately got off track when Jeff took a job at Warner Bros. animation, working on Justice League. Because of the delay, Dark Horse decided to pass on the project. In the time since, Jeff has stepped aside on the penciling duties and Lee Moder has come aboard. We've shown Dragon Prince to a couple of publishers, who are interested, but we've got to work out the timing with my schedule and Lee's (Lee is drawing Painkiller Jane right now).

Hopefully we can work out all the logistics and place the project with another publisher, but it's back-burned for at least another six months. I'll keep everyone advised as we go.

I'm glad for the update too. I always thought DP sounded interesting. I'm not familiar with Lee Moder's work. Hey Ron, are there any samples of Lee's DP artwork you could share with us?

Lee Moder pencilled Legion after Zero Hour, and also did Star-Spangled Kid.

Lee is also doing the Painkiller Jane mini from Dynamite ... with a tiny bit of help from somebody putting in a good word for him.

AND he's a hell of a nice guy.
