Eric Matthews is one of those characters, like Potsie Weber and Buddy Lembeck, who was so cool until the writers just gave up writing him like a normal character, and just made him a big cartoon.

It's quite scary.

In the instance we were referring to, the NBA player who got punched just thought he had a throbbing headache, until he noticed this weird taste in his mouth. It was freakin' SPINAL FLUID leaking into his mouth, because his skull was now fractured!!!

Luckily for the player involved, they had surgery which repaired the damage, and he ultimately returned to playing in the NBA (even making the All-Star team!).

Still, pretty darn scary.
