"what happened that one day"? Do I want to know?

A random girl was pissed off for some reason on Valentine's day and was yelling at some guy as he was walking away. They were both on a bridge over a path through the alley.

She then hurled the unnecessarily large box of chocolates the guy had given her over the ledge and consequently, right at me.

I was caught by complete suprise and almost took what I would later discover was a store-bought ceramic box of chocolates to the head. By later, I mean it shattered on the wall behind me after I ducked.

When I looked back up, both the man and the girl were making out. I just walked away.

There are some effe'd up people in the world...

No, his brand of idiocy and childish arrogance just evolved into an almost masochistic persistence. If he had an ounce of intelligence, he would at least bother to alter his usual debating habits, just a tad.

Geez, he makes the Rebel look like a novice in the troll department.

Initially it consisted mainly of rumbles involving 30+ totally random characters at a time. Over time he spread out into more generic stupidity. Toward the end he got vicious, successfully overcoming IP bans and even hijacking other accounts a couple of times.

Now THAT was a troll, people.

No. Allowing the posters to ''beat'' on ban-evaders (or banned posters generally) only encourages them or possibly their friends on other boards, to keep coming back in order to retaliate. Amusing for some folks, maybe, but not me.

She then hurled the unnecessarily large box of chocolates the guy had given her over the ledge and consequently, right at me.

Note for spoilerage.

I saw Ghost Rider.Too much of the typical hero movie cliche to be a well rounded film. As I said on SO, Eva Mendez eye popping cleavage was a great help to the film. The fight scene with the water demon was very nonsensical.

Ghost Rider himself looks good, and the character development of Johnny Blaze is actually done fairly well. The directer manages to keep our eyes moving so not focus on the potential angst of Johnny.

Of course, there was that tendency of CBF's not to read posts in their entirety and just assume what sometimes seemed like about half of their contents.

In a debate regarding animated Teen Titans Robin vs. JLU Batman, even though I personally followed the logic that Robin's blatantly superhuman abilities mixed with his martial arts skills would likely overcome him, I posted a paragraph-long humorous scenario where Robin wuxia-jump-kicked across the room for about ten seconds, only to be kicked in the torso by Batman. Because animated Batman's torso kick solves all problems.

He proceeded to debate against me (or so he thought) for at least a page or so that Robin would lose due to his static fighting style or something.

I radically disliked Spider-Man. It was dreadfully boring. And the Green Goblin looked like crap. The character of the Green goblin, aka Norman Osborne, had no redeeming qualities in terms of actual characterization. He was just boring.

Spider-Man 2, however, was all flavors of awesome. Ghost Rider doesn't even come close to it. It does compare favorably somewhat to Spider-Man.

Kira Needed to stay out of Destiny as it was Suppose to be Shinn's story, only problem was that he had a temper more bitter than Fllay and too big an ego to go with it. In other words GSD should have never been made, AT ALL, in the first place. If plot device was off thats what should have happened, instead Fukada couldn't make said plot device die off, and Heero is my definition of a good AU hero/anti-hero. He actually developed his character throughout Wing, and by the end punked Zechs with Wing Zero, without any plot devices since the Zero system usually drove pilots insane.

Yeah, pretty much.

The man's not perfect, and he certainly did look to far into things some times, but yeah, he still knew quite a bit about characters, even when arguing against them.

Actually, Yuki was a fighter in SNK Gals Fighters for the Neo Geo Pocket.

One of her specials was sending Kyo Kusanagi clones against the opponent.

No joke. THats pretty scary. Were they the cheap kidn that get burned up easily?

Ken and Elisa have mel, who is a boy. (A boy with enough guts to hit Ken in the balls.)

Elisa; Actualy got lessons from Ken Masters, and has MILF factor.

Yuki: Apparently can send Kyo clones. (OUCH) Mel is the NEXT STREET FIGHTER CHAMP unless uncle ryu decides to step in

if Eliza gets prep she has a chance.

However Yuki threw down with Iori...who was in drag IIRC That takes balls.........nonexistent balls she does not have

Kyo's being a lazy bum was half of Shingo's origin story.

Kyo used Shingo's idolization of him to trick him into running all his errands, grabbing snacks for him, etc. In exchange for getting shown Kyo's techniques one at a time. And only once.

He never actually expected anything to come of it...so imagine his surprise when Shingo used the notes he'd written to study and transform himself into a KoF competitor.

I liked that about shingo.......cept i still think it's funny that he doesnt seem to know/believe that he cant HAVE the flames come out cause he ISNT a kusanagi

I'd reckon that they should bring the Orochi storyline to a conclusion actually, the guy's name has been popping up too much, and even now we have the dude who wanted to bring Orochi back, but we've only heard of what it can do, and it has too few feats to quantify it.

I'll get up and take notice when they finally write Orochi as a Shuma-Gorath level threat, with some actual backstory behind him. Other than that, I'd say the Orochi matter is simply an excuse to get the book going and to give it a darker outlook.

BTW, how the hell does Eliza look that good after having a kid anyway?

I think orochi IS coming to a close, well after he comesback in 08. Look at this: Came in 98, said he'd either return ten to a thousand years later. Latest game Mukai broke the seal.......................................and its 07. I say he returns next year with a BRAND SPANKIN NEW MOUSTACHE!

IYO, who had the best dunk of the night?

DHoward, but to be fair to the judges, you had to see a replay to understand why it was so good. Thats probably wy he got a low score.

The dwayne wade thing was totally random. It was from nba live, and when you cross someone up as a player they say said player's name and add the "KILLER CROSSOVER THING"

and Allen Iverson played football in high school, and was REAL GOOD. He could of been in the NFL except for a minor court case he had caught

My older brother had NBA Live for Sega. I'd hit shots with.3 on the clock all the time. The best moments I have had with video games are in baseball games though.

I only played 10:00 minute halves in that game. I played my younger brother in March Madness 2001 and scored near 200. Came down to missed free throws.

I loved that game. Threes were so easy to make if you had the right person.

NBA Live is like Smackdown vs. Raw. The newer it is, the harder it is to get used to it. Compare 2004 with 2007.

Guts/Batman
02-18-2007, 04:31 PM
Too true. I have Smackdown vs. Raw and completely own. The more they add to the gaming experience, the harder the game is.

NCAA Football 2001 was perhaps the funnest football game I have played. My best memories of it were repeating as National Champs with Tennessee and Texas Tech.

The first time I played Nebraska I thought I would get smoked, but found out that it was pretty easy. Beat them 6-0 in the Big 12 championship game my first season. Almost gave up a 35 point fourth quarter lead though to FSU. Had the game won at 35-0 until they connected with 4 straight touchdowns over the top.

I never did learn how to defend that. I was always for rushing the passer. Quarterbacks on that game could throw the ball 60 yards while in the process of being sacked. Had Al Wilson, I think the linebacker for Tennessee at the time of the game, get 128 sacks in a single season.

Madden 2001 had a great cheat the "electric wall". Go out of bounds a certain way and you would float to the touchdown from your own 20. Madden 2004 was my favorite of the bunch, the way you could create a great player then fluctuate his attributes so you could afford him.

But there were certain guys I didn't do that to. I had a middle linebacker created that scored as many touchdowns on defense as the running back. Simulating was the best. I won 10 straight Super Bowls. The salary cap was at a ludicrous $405 million by the end of the dynasty. Starting quarterback I drafted was making $75 million a year.

The Frist Madden game that had the Playmaker Option made The Vikings REAL broken, I dropped 73 on my Nephew by just have Culpepper throw to Randy Moss.

Guts/Batman

I love the Playmaker option.

However, my younger brother created a play on Troy Aikman Football for SNES that was literally unstoppable. There's always a guy open.

Shotgun formation. All 5 receivers on the left side. One nearest to the line dives in quickly. The second one goes about 10 yards. The third one goes 15 yards. The fourth one does a Deep Post. And the last one runs a streak up the sideline.

No team could ever defend that play. It was a touchdown virtually every time.

Plus, I love on the game how the snow would create in between 6 and 10 fumbles every time someone fumbled. Plus, you could dive and go 15 yards. Catch passes with your legs. I intercepted my older brother 17 times in a game once. The schedule could be amended to include the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the second worst team on the game, every game of the season.

Hell, I hit a 78 yard field goal in a game once. I cannot explain how it happened either. It looks like it hit the ground then popped back up and through the cross bars. It was completely ludicrous. I love SNES.

Jeez. Broken sports games. Till recently, I ignored the football genre, but back in the day, there was a little gem called Joe Montana Football '94. I loved that game. Great simulation, but if I recall, there was one team that in the right hands could never be stopped: The Chiefs. My cousins always whooped my buttocks at Joe Montana Football, but sometimes I'd cheat and force them to get safeties to piss them off.

Sporting News Baseball is among my favorite baseball games. It was for Sega when I brother "borrowed" it from work. We kept it for about 3 weeks. In that time I managed to hit the longest home run I have ever hit in a baseball game.

The game had three kinds of fields. Dome, grass, and cornfield. My home run was hit in a dome. Now lets look at the ludicrousness of it.

The hitter was John Olerud. The home run was to the opposite field down the line. It hit the the downward side of the dome on the fly. Total distance: 609 feet.

In Triple Play 2001, I had Moises Alou hit a 596 foot home run to dead center in Coors Field. Almost cleared the center field stands.

Only baseball game I played was MLB Action for SNES. It was good, but it glitched out. At times, the ball would get stuck somewhere after you hit it, and since you couldn't pause (and therefore, quit) after you hit the ball, you had to start your whole game over.

I never trusted the Ken Griffey Jr. games because they only had Jr. real in them. Everybody else...sucked badly.

Super Bases Loaded II was my favorite SNES baseball game. It was awesome, because it was a Double A video game. One team stood out, though. It was made up of Colorado Rockies incidentally. Larry Walker, Andres Galaragga, Vinny Castillo, etc...

That team was almost unbeatable. I played in a dome, which was why Larry Walker only hit 75 home runs in the season, however, balanced out with like 50 triples and 120 stolen bases to go along with 275 hits. 225 runs batted in...

I so want to play that again.

I'm a big fan of the current gen sports games. Madden 07, Live 07, NBA 2k7. I own them all. I'm quite good at them.

Played a whole season with the bengals on all-madden. Went 16-0. Won the superbowl. But the real highlight was 13 interceptions on peyton manning and the colts in week 12 I believe. I could be off on the week though. against my little brother, who's 18 now, I had 19 pick, during a game of 7 minute quarters.

Oh yeah, I usually play 5-6 minute quarters. Maybe 7 if I feel like playing to boost my stats. I haven't reach the in game point limit though for this years madden. That's something I really want to accomplish.

Live 07, and NBA 2k7 are my games though. I fucking own at those games. Biggest margin of victory for NBA 2k7 was 159-55, dallas over san antonio. Live, was 156-46 pheonix over portland. 7 minutes quarters on 2k, 7 minutes on live.

All of these games are broken in some ways. I could go on for a good while going into detail about certain glitches that can help your game. I just thought I'd share. :)

Didn't play much sports games back in the day. The only one I remember was NBA Jam for the SuperNES. Pretty fun game, I especially liked when I was able to break the backboard glass with dunks. Funny thing was the season they used was the one without Michael Jordan in it, which kinda sucked.

My favorite SNES game though was Maximum Carnage. I've beaten it 10 times or so. Just try for a better score, and faster times. No checkpoints. No passwords. Just sit until you die or win. I miss those kinds of game...

You must be some kind of gaming savant. Maximum Carnage was difficult as hell.

After I beat it once, it wasn't that hard. You just know what you have to do. It's a lot easier when you pick the Spider-Man path all the way through. Though the guys with the umbrellas pissed me off so much.

They would shield with their umbrellas. Unless you got them early, they got you. The fat guys were fine as long didn't take the big hit.

The Venom route was harder only because you didn't get power-ups and lives as much as with Spider-Man. Plus, Iron Fist doesn't heal you as Venom.

Prospect Park 1 is probably the hardest level to get through, if you don't have help or many guys. There are 4 continues in the game. Three of them are easy to get. The fourth requires some skill to get in Prospect Park 2.

The boss guy that pissed me off the most was Carrion. That guy was a killer.
