Salt.

I believe sodium chloride is actually essential to life processes. Pepper, not so much.

It is and in most food people consume nowaday there is already plenty in the food to begin with to achieve that level needed for the human body to function properly.

And to much can cause High Blood Pressure and lead to Heart diease and other illnesses.

Coffee. When I was younger, my mom used to make me drown in green tea, saying that it was healthy. I always prefered coffee. When I found out that all its so-called health benefits were false, I switched permamantly to coffee.

To see what we have never seen,
to be what we have never been.
To shed the chrysalis and fly,
depart the earth, kiss the sky,
to be reborn, be someone new:
is this a dream or is it true.

Can our future be cleanly shorn
from a life to which we’re born?
Is each of us a creature free -
or trapped at birth by destiny?
Pity those who believe the latter.
Without freedom, nothing matters.

Is that the devil they hear humming?
Are those doomsday bells a-ringing?
Is that the Devil they hear singing?

Or are their dark fears exaggerated?
Are these doom-criers addlepated?

Those who fear the coming of all Hells
are those who should be feared themselves.

Every eye sees its own special vision;
every ear hears a most different song.
In each man's troubled heart, and incision
would reveal a unique, shameful wrong.

Stranger fiends hide here in human guise
than reside in the valleys of Hell.
But goodness, kindness and love arise
in the heart of the poor beast, as well.

-From the Book of Counted Sorrows.

Tea in my case. (Irish blood telling perhapse - Ireland is the worlds largest tea consumer.)
As long as it's brewed properly- no more than 5 minutes for black tea, 3 minutes at most for green. Overbrewing really makes the stuff bitter.

And in fairness to coffee drinkers, the key for good coffee there is A- Avoid anything with Robusta beans. B - don't skimp on the grounds, it makes the brew bitter, and C - Brew in a way that avoids reheating the brewed coffee, or passing it through the grounds again. (IE, toss that old percolator in the trash)

If you feel like debating the varying caffeine effects, the way it works out is, Coffee contains more caffeine that Tea. Tea however contains compounds that slow the bodies absorbtion of the caffeine it does have, so it's effects last longer.

Coffee also helps prevent arthritis, Parkinson's', Alzheimer's, diabetes, and heart disease, as well as a couple others I can't think of at the moment. I think I've heard of white tea helping prevent cancer, but thats about it.

BTW, I don't hate tea. I love a nice hot cup of ginseng tea with honey before I sleep. I just hate the New Age bullcrap stereotype that coffee is bad for you, while tea makes you like an ancient Chinese philosopher. I can understand if people don't like coffee.

My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low-grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a 15 year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink, he would make outrageous claims, like he invented the question mark. Sometimes, he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy - the sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical: summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring, we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent, I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds. Pretty standard, really.

Oh, Salt, definitely. It goes with almost everything, it's essential to life, and it has all sorts of secondary uses (from gargling to food preservation).

There are people who appreciate pepper, but I am not among them. I've never understood why it gets a special place on the table next to the salt shaker.

Green tea kicks coffee's ass.

OR

Coffee mostly until summer hits then it's sun tea from there till fall on the hot days. But I will always be a fan of coffee, because you can do so much with it!

My fav coffee recipe is a Black Hole.

3 or 4 shots of espesso or really stong coffee
Butter Rum flavoring
Irish Cream flavoring
Chocolete Syrup

Mix and yum! Trust me it got me through collage studing for finals. But I do have a huge warning, DO NOT have 2 huge Black Holes in one day! I did this once, bad idea! You will feel uber-hypper and feel stoned at the same time and everything and everyone will act like their in slow motion! In the comments, there are Yaoi Fangirls posting and defending their work. One was even getting flustered at the portrayl of the fangirl in the comic.

Well, not all fiction is for everyone so it is up to the individual descretion. They just have to accept that not everyone will take to Yaoi the same way others take to traditional comics or manga. It does after all address a still-somewhat stigmatized portion of society in the fictional sense. People do relate to characters, and so Yaoi would be offensive to some. If they don't like the implied criticizm, they don't have to read the strip. The same way we don't have to read their Yaoi if it makes us feel uncomfortable.

We need a Crusade Summon the Warriors of CBR. We must lead a Crusade to Drive the Yaoi horde back into the Dark space from whence they came

Dude, CBR is about the last bastion of sanity from the Yaoi horde! I say we hold it and let them eat each other to death when there's no more Yaoi left to write!:evilsmile

Edit: Aight for some reason that just sounds wrong.

Yes. Yes it did.

But we must reclaim our birthright. For if we do not strike now how long will it be before the Fangirls infiltrate us here in Khazan. No we must lunch a preemptive strike else we risk losing the holy light of Khazan forever.

...for all those who hate their crap clogging up your favorite fanfiction website, how do you deal with them? What are some funny ways of dealing with them fictionally? How do you shoot them down for calling you a 'homophobe' after you tell them you hate it when you put two confirmed heterosexuals together?

Any ideas...?:D

Such as the ones that pair up Gaara and Temari or Rukia and Byakuya

Then I guess the thing to do would be to tell them that the problem you have is not so much with yaoi as with unrealistic couples. Personally I think that in the hands of the right author nearly any pairing can work, but of course the "right author" is rarely ever the one actually writing this stuff...

Eat something.

Hmm... Since this is rumbles, I'd suggest putting a slice of pizza, a burger, and a microwave burrito on your table and making them fight to the death. The winner gets eaten. If it's a three-way tie eat them all.

Here are a few tips:
It's best to eat with tools specialy designed to help consume the food.
They consist of (but are not limited to): plate, fork, spoon, knife and glass.
Plate - an oval piece of ceramics where the food is stored during the eating process.
Spoon - use it to eat soups and other sorts of "watery" food.
Knife - use it to cut the food into smaller pieces suitable for chewing.
Fork - use it to transfer the nutritives cut by knife from your plate to your mouth.
Glass - tube shaped utensile made from glass (thus the name) used to store liquids (ie water, juice) during the eating and drinking process.

So, start using them and don't eat with your fingers, and welcome to the 21. century.

Hey, now. Lets not be ethnocentric. We've been raised by different cultures with different regards to different types of food.

In some countries, Giant Tarantulas are considered a delicacy.

In India, the vast majority of the population won't touch beef.
