I could probably manage for a month or less, but after that I'd run into all the obvious problems of no longer having a legal identity: as a de facto non-entity, I'd be unable to hold an apartment or get money (without the obvious seedy alternatives available to females, which don't really sound too appealing to me), nor would I be able to get any help from relatives, friends etc. who'd no longer recognize me.

In any case, while some people would certainly be shaken up, I tend to think that people would adjust(*) - and perhaps this would even go a long way towards shattering unhealthy gender stereotypes and expectations, making the world a much better place for future generations.

(*) Then again, I've never felt like my gender extends beyond my physical body, and don't imagine I'd have any identity issues even if I suddenly turned female. Granted, I'm not entirely sure how well that applies to the general population.
