Funninly enough, I like both teams.
Prove to me that Steve Nash isn't a chump; he deserved the MVP as much as I did, and we all know that.

I never said Nash deserved the MVP, it was a bunch of Bullshit, the MVP voting was. However, that doesn't mean I hate both teams.

I seem to recall that he never lost a single one of his 49 fights. Been a long while since I read his biography, though, so my memory might be playing me false on that one.

Well then, try this one from the opening song from Ghost in the Shell, Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG!
I'm a soldier, meaning that I'm
Both the defendent and the judge
I'm standing on both sides of the fire
Going around turns, overtaking death and life
I'm running to fight with the shadow of a lie
No matter how many threads deception would weave
Truth will show its face of light
*Save your tears
for the day
when our pain is far behind
on your feet
come with me
we are soldiers stand or die
Save your fears
take your place
save them for the judgement day
fast and free
follow me
time to make the sacrifice
we rise or fall
I'm a soldier, born to stand
in this waking hell I am
witnessing more than I can compute
pray myself we don't forget
lies, betrayed and the oppressed
please give me the strength to be the truth
people facing the fire together
if we don't, we'll lose all we have found
*Save your tears
for the day
when our pain is far behind
on your feet
come with me
we are soldiers stand or die
Save your fears
take your place
save them for the judgement day
fast and free
follow me
time to make the sacrifice
we rise or fall
After a dream to the edge of a chasm
Only that way can the world be saved
Don't you cry,
Hide the tears,
Because a new day will start
Your fire
Will be heated
By thousands of hearts
But now get up
Hide the pain and fear far
The one who's right will win
Know that everything is in your hands
*Save your tears
for the day
when our pain is far behind
on your feet
come with me
we are soldiers stand or die
Save your fears
take your place
save them for the judgement day
fast and free
follow me
time to make the sacrifice
we rise or fall

Satchmo's Sweet Georgia Brown
No gal made has got a shade
On Sweet Georgia Brown,
Two Left Feet, oh, so neat,
Has Sweet Georgia Brown!
They all sigh, and want to Die,
For Sweet Georgia Brown!
I'll Tell You Just Why,
You Know I Don't Lie, Not Much:
It's Been Said She Knocks 'em Dead,
When She Lands In Town!
Since She Came, Why It's A Shame,
How She Cools Them Down!
Fellas She Can't Get
Must Be Fellas She Ain't Met!
Georgia Claimed Her, Georgia Named Her,
Sweet Georgia Brown!
No Gal Made Has Got A Shade
On Sweet Georgia Brown,
Two Left Feet, Oh, So Neat,
Has Sweet Georgia Brown!
They All Sigh, And Want To Die,
For Sweet Georgia Brown!
I'll Tell You Just Why,
You Know I Don't Lie; Not Much:
All Those Gifts Those Courters Give,
To Sweet Georgia Brown,
They Buy Clothes At Fashion Shows,
With One Dollar Down,
Oh, Boy! Tip Your Hat!
Oh, Joy! She's The Cat!
Who's That, Mister? 'tain't A Sister!
Sweet Georgia Brown!
Edit: If you're having trouble thinking of the melody, listen up: "Sweet Georgia Brown" is the themesong of the Harlem Globetrotters. If you don't know what that sounds like, I feel sorry for you.

Here's another song for Tru. It's from Fred Saberhagen's "Recluse Saga" of books.
Songs of Love, and Loss of Love
...down by the seashore,
where the waters foam white,
Hang your head over; hear the winds's flight.
The east wind loves sunshine,
And the west wind loves night.
The north blows alone, dear,
And I fear the light.
You've taken my heart, dear,
Beyond the winds' night.
The fires you have kindled
last longer than light.
...last longer than light, dear,
when the waters foam white;
Hang your head over; hear the wind's flight.
The fires you have kindled
Will last out my night.
Soon I will die, dear,
On the mountains' cold height.
The steel wind blows truth, dear,
Beyond my blade's might.
...beyond my blade's might, dear,
where the waters foam white;
Hang your head over; hear the wind's flight.
I told you the truth, dear,
Right from the start.
I wanted your love, dear,
With all of my heart.
Sometimes you hurt me,
And sometimes we fought,
But now that you've left me,
My life's been for naught.
My life's been for naught, dear,
when the waters foam white;
So hang your head over, and hear the wind's flight.
So hang your head over, and hear the wind's flight.

Actually, it hit around 39 °C (101-2 °F).
Though, about that, it is funny. I lived in Witchita,Kansas for about a year, even when it started snowing very lightly (I'm not sure if you could even call it snow), they closed down everything. When I came back to Toronto, it was snowing like crazy, nothing was closed down. So yeah, it is kinda funny.:D

a child sits, before her on worn silk
a Deck is arrayed.
She cannot yet speak
and the scenes before her
she's never before seen in this life.
The child gazes upon a lone card
named Obelisk, the stone grey
she can feel its roughness in her mind.
Obelisk stands buried in a grassy knoll
like a knuckle protruded

My head is bloody but unbowed.

Finds and shall find me unafraid.

The strong individual loves the earth so much he lusts for recurrence.
He can smile in the face of the most terrible thought: meaningless,
aimless existence recurring eternally. The second characteristic of
such a man is that he has the strength to recognize -- and to live with
the recognition -- that the world is valueless in itself and that all values
are human ones. He creates himself by fashioning his own values;
he has the pride to live by the values he wills.

What do you think of farmers? You think they're saints? Hah! They're foxy beasts! They say, "We've got no rice, we've no wheat. We've got nothing!" But they have! They have everything! Dig under the floors! Or search the barns! You'll find plenty! Beans, salt, rice, cake! Look in the valleys, they've got hidden warehouses! They pose as saints but are full of lies! If they smell a battle, they hunt the defeated! They're nothing but stingy, greedy, blubbering, foxy, and mean! God damn it all! But then who made them such beasts? You did! You samurai did it! You burn their villages! Destroy their farms! Steal their food! Force them to labor! Take their women! And kill them if they resist! So what should farmers do?

That's usually because the weather reports say we're going to get the Blizzard to End All Blizzards.
True. We really need to stop listening to weather reporters as far as snow goes.
Which only lasts about four hours, over night, then the temp goes up past the melting point, resulting in a big slushy mess.
Actually, there have been a few big ones in the past, but it doesn't happen very often.
Was the last one that big one in '96 (or thereabouts)? Or was there a later one? I can't seem to remember anything really good since then.
I had high hopes for this last winter, but we got what? 4 inches total?

.. But if we laugh with derision, we will never understand. Human
intellectual capacity has not altered for thousands of years so far as
we can tell. If intelligent people invested intense energy in issues
that now seem foolish to us, then the failure lies in our understanding
of their world, not in their distorted perceptions. Even the standard
example of ancient nonsense -- the debate about angels on pinheads --
makes sense once you realize that theologians were not discussing
whether five or eighteen would fit, but whether a pin could house a
finite or an infinite number.

Eleventh Law of Acoustics:
In a minimum-phase system there is an inextricable link between
frequency response, phase response and transient response, as they
are all merely transforms of one another. This combined with
minimalization of open-loop errors in output amplifiers and correct
compensation for non-linear passive crossover network loading can
lead to a significant decrease in system resolution lost. However,
of course, this all means jack when you listen to Pink Floyd.

The adjuration to be "normal" seems shockingly repellent to me; I see neither hope nor comfort in sinking to that low level. I think it is ignorance that makes people think of abnormality only with horror and allows them to remain undismayed at the proximity of "normal" to average and mediocre. My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low-grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a 15 year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink, he would make outrageous claims, like he invented the question mark. Sometimes, he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy - the sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical: summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring, we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent, I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds. Pretty standard, really.

Mmmmm... Hellsing.
Here's the beginning of Volume 6.
THE SOLDIERS LINE UP AND MARCH DOWN THE ROAD TO WAGE WAR UPON A DISTANT ENEMY.
THEY KEEP MARCHING ON JUST SO THEY CAN DIE IN THIS TIME GONE MAD.
WHO KNOWS WHY THOUGH THE DEPTHS OF THEIR HEARTS ARE SO TOTALLY DARK NOTHING CAN BE SEEN.
THEY STAND IN A WIND-BLOWN FIELD COUNTING THE NUMBER OF CORPSES.
IN THE PLAZA THE SOLDIERS ARE DANCING IN A CIRCLE BUT THEY HAVE NO TIME FOR THAT.
TO MAKE THEIR EXCAPE TO PROLONG THE LENGTH OF THEIR LIVES THEY WATCH HOW THE ROTTEN SHADOW FROM THE CLOCK TOWER AT THE END OF THE WORLD FALLS ACROSS THE RED FIELD.
ARM IN ARM IN ARM IN ARM THEY'RE WATCHING AND LAUGHING.
THE SOLDIERS LINE UP AND MARCH DOWN THE ROAD TO WAGE WAR UPON A DISTANT ENEMY.
THEY KEEP MARCHING ON JUST SO THEY CAN DIE IN THIS TIME GONE MAD.
THEY KEEP MARCHING ON.
