Ok so it has finally happen I was BlackCanary_JL and now they changed my name to Generic245869, whatever, but does anybody know how to get a name change?

I doubt they would. The name is different enough from any known character (that I know of anyway.)

BUT..i made the mistake,after 18 months of play,of leaving him afk in the atlas rail station.

When i came back,he was GenericHero 2blahblahblahblah.

I then picked night swordsman,change his costume,and sent the letter(you should have one in your email,if you have given them a valid one)and about two hours later,taadaa. Night Swordsman was born.

On the letter thou,i will warn you,it says if you are ever caught again,your account may become banned. Fair warning.

Sigh. I miss Duncan. I even had it looking like Adrian Paul.

Mmmmm... Robbie Williams.

From what I can tell, most of the times the GM catch IP issues it's either due to a complaint about the character or because they were petitioned for help and happened to notice the objectionable character on that team.

The GMs tend to be inconsistent, unfortunately. Tales of overzealous GMs show up on the boards sometimes. Some of them are silly, I mean I don't think "Blak Widow" is any less of an infringement without the 'c' if everything else is there. However, on guy claimed to be GenericHero'ed over his Ice character named Cold Nova... someone complained he was a clone of Nova from the Young Warriors. OTOH, I remember seeing a Jean-Grey run around (Mind Controller, IIRC, in a green minidress and red hair) when the Marvel lawsuit was fresh in the news and she was still running around unchanged months later.

I may rename him to "Wobbie Rilliams". The other robot's named "Shakira".

On Guardian I created the exact same guy-for my regular Low Alt Mondays with the guys- and his pets will be named "Steely", "Irony" and "Brassy".
