Hey, was there a thread for this issue?

Why does the Queen think Wonder Woman is Snow White?

What's with the "hot shoes" Oh my God. When Gail said "irons to the fire," I didn't think literal. If she wasn't so evil and powerful, I'd feel sorry for her.

The Queen of Fables is back?

Cool.

She's thought that since she first appeared in Waid's storyline. I believe she was looking for the fairest in the land and Wonder Woman might have shown up on a tv screen or someting.

I'm actually reading the Queen of Fables story now (it's in the "Divided We Fall" JLA tpb) and I'm glad she's back, I love the theme of scary old fairy tales. Superman and Wonder Woman weren't having enough problems I guess, I'm sure this will liven things up for them :D

Anyone else love the covers from that storyline? Wonder Woman in a Snow White coffin was just gorgeous.

I remember her saying that, but if memory serves me, she belives Wonder Woman to be snow white in the JLA story. She belives that in the Superman comic. She also thinks Supes and WW are married.

I actually created the Queen of Fables, and Mark used her back in JLA in her first appearance.

She sees things in fairy tale terms. Her most hated enemy (and the red hot iron shoes is from the REAL version of the fairy tale) is a princess, with ruby lips, black hair, etc. Wonder Woman fits that description. And she thinks Superman is Prince Charming.

Yeah, I caught the "Red Shoes" reference. That one was always one of the creepiest stories for me. That and "How The Children Played Butcher With One Another." I told a friend about that one who's only ever known the Disney versions, and he looked visibly ill.

So she's crazy AND poweful. Wonder how the queen sees Batman. ;)

Those old fairy tales are off the chain with the darkness. I think Grimms fairy tales are considered part of the Romantic literary movement, so that would make sense.

So is she victim or villain? Perhaps both. Will her full story come out next month in Action? I am soooo inqusitive.

My favorite part of this issue was Sir Kal-El the Knight. I loved that his flaming sword represented his heat vision and his horse represented his speed and I'm guessing that his shield represented his invulnerablity. What a fun idea!

This was a great, fun issue. Exactly why I love this Action Comics run. I'm really excited about next issue and seeing the Kryptonian fables.
