We're a few days away from the cutoff for the November Previews order, so here's a sneak peak of the first issue of Speakeasy Comics' Athena Voltaire: Flight of the Falcon for anyone who's sitting on the fence:

Thanks, guys! Seriously, it means a lot that, in light of the terrific stuff coming from Marvel and December this January, people are will to take a chance on a new title from new creators.

Like I said, it means a lot. :D

Glad to have you along for the adventure!

Speaking as a comics retailer (who's supposed to be doing the November orders even now), I was a bit iffy about this one.
The cover was nice, but in many cases, you end up with dodgy interiors, and while I'm a massive pulps fan, I can't always say the same about my customers.
I'll definitely be ordering this one. One for me and a couple for the shelf.
Thanks for the preview.

Athena moves to Ape Comics. (http://www.newsarama.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=67475)

I am so glad this title has a new home.

I concur! This is a great looking book, and the web comic was cool. Glad it has moved to APE!

There's a new interview with the creators of this series. You can check it out here. (http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/newsitem.cgi?id=7585)

I liked this quote from Steve Bryant:

SB: If I have my way, our follow-up to this first miniseries will be a 96-page trade collection of the webcomics.

That would be awesome.

Okay, did the webcomics trade ship? It's on Diamond's list for this week.
