View Full Version : one more little thing no one is daring to mention (maybe because it's irrelevant ;^)

well, first was mekanique and athena that NONE of you even touched upon (c'mon,,,,,two waves holding the crisis back, and no one even talks about them?)....

then, something I just re-read which was cute and ominous at the same time...

There was a legends of the DCU special issue where the action was diverted into a chapter 4 1/2 of Crisis, where the heroes try to save Earth-6 (also called Earth-D). This Earth was very much like what the editors are hinting Earth-DC will be OYL, lighter, less dark.

There is a brilliant moment in this comic book, where Dark Batman (ours) is trying to scold Earth-6 Robin. A classic exchange.

This is the comic which explains where and when in time the Anti-monitor kidnapped the Flash. It also had the (arguably) most powerful Brazilian hero (a green lantern).

But, there was something else in this comic which made me wonder.... There were thousands of emigrées from Earth-6 which got shifted to Earth-1 as a means to save them from the decimation of that universe. Somehow, this could have contributed to an imbalance (people from 6 earths in a compression of 5?)

well, hugs for all...and I hope more people than zero opt to discuss this topic.

Rio.

Rio_de_Janeiro doesn't read EVERYTHING:

well, first was mekanique and athena that NONE of you even touched upon (c'mon,,,,,two waves holding the crisis back, and no one even talks about them?)....

It gets mentioned frequently, whenever the context is right. I've brought it up several times myself (usually when there's mention of "right after Crisis, it was like this..."). Others have as well.

then, something I just re-read which was cute and ominous at the same time...

Well, number one, it wasn't "compressed", time was started over from the beginning. There was no "merging".

Number two, the time reboot took place after (obviously) the Earth-6 incident, so when the time reboot hit, it was made "neverwas".

So, yeah, nice notice, but as you say...irrelevant.

I have been saying this for awhile now and I didnt know about these issues you mentioned. But it sounds ike it offers a little precedence for my theory.

Luthor is going to send all of the heroes into a comic book. He is going to start a huge crisis to get everyone in the book, then he is going to go to Earth Prime and detroy all the issues.

There fore killing everyone in one fell swoop.

But Sperboy prime and the gang are going to use the giant Zeta Beam shifter from Adam Strange or something like it and take all of the heroes and put them onto EARTH PRIME.

I know its not perfect but you will see all of our heroes starting off in Earth Prime...our world.

DC is going to be much more relevant. They will be addressing real world things and talk about real world bands and movies and shite. I think so anyway.

I swear if Geoff Johns' takes this direction and has Luthor put all the heroes in a comic book, I am burning every copy of every DC comic I own.

That would be a truly silver age plot point. And not in a good way.

I actually quite like the idea of the DCU shifting to Earth Prime though.

I could see Grant Morrison doing this. Not Geoff Johns, though. He's way too down to Earth. One of those Keep It Simple people.
