What was the last thing that happened with him? One of my all-time favorite characters, and I can't remember. Is there a chance of him popping up with all of this business that's been going on? What are your feelings on the character?

Didn't he get absorbed by Hawk/Monarch/Extent during Zero Hour? That was the last I remember seeing him.

The last time we saw the Linear man after OWAW , they were without Waverider so who knows ?

Just after OWAW, Superman was put "on trial" for what he did to Brainiac and his actions in general, which the Linear Men saw as a violation of space and time - or something weird like that. Apparently, not long before this story, the Linear Men (Hunter, Waverider and others) all discarded their physical forms because the stress of their jobs had finally cost them the ability to keep said forms - so in this tale they were a bunch of floating brains. Seriously.

In the end, the Quintessence (who were judging the trial) found in favor of Superman; when the Linear Men expressed outrage, the Quintessence basically just wiped them out of existance, saying their jobs had made them insane.

As I recap this (to the best of my ability - sold it long time ago) I realize that this was a real crappy story.

Rip Hunter has since appeared, as his old Silver Age self, so I'm guessing the Quintessence just reset the Linear Men to their old selves.

Waverider, though, hasn't been seen since that post-OWAW story, so perhaps he was just put back as Matt Ryder and is just living a normal life now.
