So some stuff to point out that is of definite interest for IC, I think...

Martian Manhunter appears to Manitou Dawn and says beware the one I mentioned is near... was he referring to Key or Supergirl? I think Key.. but was that put at that point on purpose?

Also, GA said Wally looked like Barry for a minute there... hmmm!

Anyone catch anything else?

I think that MM was clearly talking about the Key.

That Flash moment at the end has me scared. I don't wanna see Wally die.

More OMACs...

Didn't Brother Eye call them all up.

At first, they were an ok plot device but they now have become something I loathe.

They are just everywhere. Just in the right spot. Makes me think there were more than 1.3 million to begin with...

I don't believe it is known just how many OMAC's have been called up by Brother Eye for the assault on Paradise Island. That said, I would think there are still some hanging around

I don't think they are there for Paradise Island but Brother Eye told Bruce he only got 60.7% of them (IIRC).

Brother Eye has a few thousand guarding his position (whichI would think gives it away)

On a technical note, did they screw up the printing on your copies of JLA? All the copies at my comic shop were misprinted...with several pages printed twice and the middle part of the comic being shown after the end.

Yeah. At least it wasn't INFINITE CRISIS. I guess I'll just have to round up a good copy when it rolls around to my local Borders in a few weeks.

I think someone is impersonating J'Onn.

Consider:

J'Onn disappears.

Dawn starts getting telepathic visits from J'Onn.

We get exposition on how fragile Dawn's state of mind is.

I don't think we'll find out the real deal with J'Onn for awhile yet and that this arc is designed to throw us off by having a fake J'Onn send unreliable messages through Dawn who's more likely to buy into an impersonator's line.

Heck, the Key can create hallucinations and has full access to his brain (more is a telepathic/higher consciousness sense than the way Deathstroke does), right?

He might have been faking J'Onn to lure Dawn towards him.

It hit me how much sense that would make for a fill-in arc, structurally, after reading this issue.

J'Onn's gone and, for whatever reason, I'm guessing geoff Johns needs him to stay gone or for his status to be unknown for awhile.

So I'm betting Harras was assigned an arc that's supposed to keep people from asking, "Where's J'Onn?" so that the answer to that question doesn't come until Geoff's ready for him.

My gut says that J'Onn has already been abducted by Luthor's goon squad for the mysterious machine being built.

Interesting.

So whoever blew up the Watchtower, took J'onn as well before he blew it up?

That's my bet.

OR somebody kidnapped J'Onn to save him from being killed.

Either way though, I suspect the telepathic messages that Dawn is getting from J'Onn are fake.

I can't imagine why J'Onn would hide during this Crisis... And even if he was hiding, I can't imagine why he would contact Dawn of all people and no one else.

It's fishy to me how the writer makes the explicit point of how fragile Dawn is earlier in the issue and then has J'Onn show up telepathically and instead of talking to any of his longtime friends, spooks Dawn into leaving the group -- leading her to get abducted by the Key.

I was pretty sure he was talking about Supergirl. But I'll have to go back and reread. The darkness inside of her has been hinted at already...J'onn was giving the warning...O Lordy. Kara blew up the Watchtower!

Yeah that's exactly what I thought.. but Key was there too. So it could go either way.

Was this issue better than the last two?

A little bit. The story has yet to go very far, though the dialogue wasn't as bad as it's been. Red Tornado appears and I like him, so that's a plus.

On the plus side, the covers have been really good lately. Who's the artist?

That would be Daniel Acuna. They usually tell you the name of the cover artist on the "Hot List" page towards the back of the comic.

And I think PatrickG might be on to something. The whole thing just doesn't feel... right.

Yes, not that that's hard. The last 2 were REALLY bad. This was just a little dull (especially when reading IC in the same sitting).

Was this issue better than the last two?

If you mean better by the exact meaning of the word yes, but if you mean it in a more abstract sense, no.

Stuff happened. The heroes weren't going Emo on eachother but there were OMACs, a couple of OMACs.

I'm getting sick of OMACs. They have hit that plot device stage where it ceases for me to the plot device. Especially what happened in Hawkman #46 and in the issue of Robin.

They are just everywhere and it's not a fun story with them anymore.

Anyone else get the feeling that Luthor is building a sort of "Cerebro", to amp up manhunters Telepathic abilities, and using a Marvel SHAZAM! (TM) Thunderblast to power it?
