Good interview. I think I haven't been so excited about comics in a good long while. The change definatly was for the best, in my opinion, and I'm loving the stories coming out of House of M. :)

What did you think about the Cannonball/Psylocke page? Sweet, no?

Eh, I'm not a huge fan of Sam. But it looks pretty good. :)

I didn't really like any of them more than the others. Maybe Dani.

No, I like them. But not in a 'Whoo, it's [Insert Name Here]!' way, when they appear. :)

Wow does it look like Cannonball gained some confidence or what? I wish I had the confidence to just grab onto a hottie like that ;) Pus I like the scene of Iceman still fighting alongside Polaris, hopefully the two of them get some off time and Iceman can figure out a way to continue as an X-Man even if he's no longer a mutant

i took the preview images as lorna being upset with bobby.
he's no longer a mutant/he'll be close to trouble/she'll chose alex again
(as long as whatever she saw in space isn't too radical).

I think I haven't been so excited about comics in a good long while.

And I haven't been that annoyed by X-Comics since the HarraX-Men.
I'm passing on all Decimation projects (except for "Deadly Genesis" because it's Brubaker) and I hope that Excalibur and X-Force will be allowed to tell their own stories instead of being forced into one event after the next.
I'm quite fed up with Disassembled/HoM/Decimation.
Just not the stories I want to read.

Decimation will be in all X-bookds for at least 6 months, so you're gonna save a lot of cash if you're not buying those ;)

I think I have to agree with you Beast, Decimation is shaping up to be one hellova story in all aspects. I still plan on buying all three core titles (well, three when Astonishing comes back from hiatus), X-Factor, New Excalibur, Deadly Genesis, and I think I'll even start picking up Wolverine to see what they do with his past and all the revelations that will be made. This is indeed shaping up to be a very interesting time for our beloved muties. :D

I'm oddly almost tempted to grab Wolverine also, and it's the one book I've sworn to avoid, since I tire of all things Wolverine. But the whole 'exploring his past' angle intrigues me. Damn you Marvel! :p

Yep, I kinda feel the same way. Since I started buying comics again 7 months ago I haven't picked up one issue of Wolverine, but I'm thinkin this year long quest to track down his past could be very intriguing. So at this point I'm thinking that I'm gonna pick it up.

Why? She's dead it's time to let them lie!

X-men need more change, if someone dies it was for a good reason, it's normally silly when they are bought back.

Why? She's dead it's time to let them lie!Correction: an alternate Illyana died of the Legacy Virus in Uncanny X-Men 303. 616 Illyana Rasputin, AKA Magik AKA Darkchylde is still in Limbo, and possibly aside from New X-Men: Academy X 16-19, she has not been seen since Inferno in 1988.

Get over it Fishtaco, Illyana's dead.
The person that Marvel recognises as Magik is dead.

Whichever of DDM's post you copied that from, is wrong.
She's dead.

I just have one question why have we not seen any attempts at an Astonishing X-men title that ties in to the Decimation.

When the entire HOM series featured specifically the Astonishing X-Men

Joss Whedon's too busy to actually get his work done regularly.
So they took a 6+ month hiatus from the end of Issue 12.

It does create an odd void with that title on hiatus since that was the main X-Men team. It would be nice if they put another write on the book to deal with the after effects and continue the team's adventuring but they do show up at the end of House of M #8.

They also appear in HoM: The Day After and are combined with Milligan's and Kyle/Yost's X-Men/New X-men respectively as far as ongoing reaction to HoM goes so in meantime it seems like we'll see them show up in the other titles until Astonishing continues.

She's dead.LOL! Don't even talk to me about what Marvel recognizes. Marvel recognized Sage as a new character. Marts didn't even know that Sage was Tessa. WTF??? The Illyana that died from the Legacy Virus wasn't the real one??

WRONG!Whatever you say

What has Sage being Tessa got to do with Magik.

She's dead. The person who all the writers are told is dead is Magik, I doubt she'll be back (unless it's her in the back-up of Deadly Genesis)

What has Sage being Tessa got to do with Magik. My point is that Marvel is so ignorant that what they recognize means nothing.

WRONG!

In The New Mutants #73, when Wolfsbane supposedly saves Illyana after she rejects her Darkchilde self at the height of Inferno, the New Mutants save a 7 year old Illyana Rasputin. However, since Limbo deals with space & time folding upon itself--when the past, present, & future occur simultanously--Louise Simonson wrote a loophole in this story where Illyana Rasputin--Magik--can come back alive & well. Why? The Illyana the New Mutants rescued is an alternate Earth Illyana from another time & place, but not Earth 616's Magik.

The loophole has not been used yet. Given enough time, Illyana Rasputin, Magik, will return.
