Looks like Layla Miller is here to stay.

I can't wait for this book!

Peter David -- "For that matter, what makes you assume that all the members of X-Factor are still mutants? Because you're proceeding from a false assumption."

--Oh my! I wonder if that's why Rictor looks so depressed. :(

Well the only people whom we haven't seen use powers post HoM are Rictor and M, and technically Layla, who just woke up and looked out the window in HoM #8. I'm guessing that at the very least, Layla won't have that funky "reawaken memories" thing anymore, and she didn't display any other powers, so presumably that's one normal person.

It would also explain why the drawings of Rictor were removed from Cable&Deadpool (though not why they left his speech bubbles)

How about M? Have we seen her using her powers after House of M? She would be relly pissed if she lost it.

I'm pretty sure we haven't even seen her since Morrison's X-Corp Paris arc, which ran concurrently as Austen's Hope arc (which also had M in it).

She appeared in a Excalibur issue, IIRC. With a X-Corp.

Well, Peter David is hinting that Rahne and Monet will have something of a chickfight sooner or later, and that wouldn't be nearly as rad if M was powerless. Maybe Syrin? Her powers were never all that interesting, being a carbon copy of Banshee's.

Yeah, but we saw her using her powers post HoM in cabe and Deadpool #18.

I'm so excited with this title! Everything about it sounds awesome. I like the premisse (investigations business), the cast (Jamie is such a cool guy, M is a bitch, Guido is funny as hell) and the art looks great. Plus, you can't go wrong with Peter David.

I think we saw both Siryn and M on the board in HoM: The Day After without the depowered banner, so it's probably Rictor.

Damn companies, holding writers back. X-Factor could have had Batman in it!He was asked that same question @ Newsarama a month or two ago. His response then was Osama bin Laden :D

I don't care for either of them either...but this book has so many guest stars, you can buy it for them! I've started pick up the book for Diamondback and Black Mamba! :D

Has Peter David said anything more about his plans for M (Monet) in X-Factor? Like maybe making the twin-composite "Monet" the true M like apparently Lobdell planned, and getting rid of "the actual Monet" altogether :) I can dream can't I?

No but seriously, has he mentioned anything about M at all? Specific plans?

Nope. Just that she and Rahne wont get along.
